What to expect
Exploring Mexico just got a whole lot easier. On this full day adventure, you'll tick off no less than four different activities. Start with a guided visit of the archaeological site of Tulum, then head to a cenote for a swim. Next, it's off to Akumal for a spot of snorkelling. Round off your day with lunch at a beach club. Carmen, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The most photographed structure in the archaeological site is the Castillo, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The Castillo might be the most famous, but there are plenty of other ancient Mayan ruins to explore, such as the Temple of the Descending God and the Temple of the Frescoes.'The marvels of the Mayan culture will be revealed on your guided tour around Tulum. You'll learn about it's past as a walled city, and its former role as a trading hub. After the tour you'll have free time to explore at your leisure. Next, prepare to be dazzled by colours at an ancient Mayan cenote, a natural cave with a freshwater pool fed by underground water sources and considered sacred by the Mayans.After a cooling swim, we'll head for the picturesque seaside community of Akumal, known for its laid-back atmosphere, natural beauty, and abundant marine life. With its intriguing underwater world, Akumal offers one of the best snorkelling experiences in the Riviera Maya. Encounter an array of tropical fish, corals, and perhaps even sea turtles. To complete your day, unwind and indulge in a tasty meal at a nearby beach club. More information should be provided in advance regarding changing facilities. It was only when onboard the bus that we were told we would only have the option to get changed at the Beach Club for lunch. It should also be shared that lunch isn’t actually until 3pm. Other than that a very worthwhile trip and most enjoyable!!

A fantastic day. I definitely recommend this experience as it has variety. Loved visiting Tulum and swimming in the cenote was a wonderful experience. The only downside is not being able to take in cameras. The photos they sell are ridiculously overpriced - about £65 a photo. Swimming with turtles was wonderful. The guide led us to the turtles and we saw loads. I really enjoyed the location of the meal (says lunch but it was around 3:30 when we arrived).

We enjoyed all the experiences included. It was great to get those done in one day and it actually did not feel rushed at all. The snorkeling with turtles was definitely a highlight! The guide was really friendly and helpful. The food at the end was very good as well!

Tulum und Cenote war sehr schön, enttäuscht vom Schnorcheln mit Schildkröten. Leider wurde nur 1 Schildkröte gesichtet und waren auch nur 100 Meter vom Ufer anstatt der besagten 400 Meter. Im Wasser ragten sich sehr viele Menschen und Gruppen was das schwimmen fast unmöglich machte. Wahrscheinlich auch der Grund warum kaum Schildkröten zu sehen waren. Zudem muss ich leider sagen, dass das Gesamtpaket der 3 Attraktionen extrem teuer (>700 EUR) war, würde ich keinem empfehlen bzw. nochmals buchen.

The travel time 3 hours and then most of the day your on a bus. The women we booked with didn’t tell us we could only take a proper water bottle to Tulum so you have to walk round for 45 minutes in the heat with no drink or anywhere to get out the shade. We was told you get food and drinks on the tour the food was after 3pm we got picked up at 6:20. I feel like the rep should know more information about the tour she told us we was going to see one of the 7 wonders of the world which isn’t true.

Old uncomfortable mini bus with broken seats and seat belts. Not given time to dry off and change. Travel to lunch at 4pm? Half an hour in wet swim wear. As soon as we got to the beach club lunch given straight away. Changed in dirty toilet after the late lunch. Beach club was old and run down. Not a beach club experience - had the lunch - changed clothes and back on mini bus. Travelled 3 hours sat on a damp seat due to wet swim wear!

This was our favourite trip overall - the journey between the sites was reasonable for a family with younger children (20-30 mins). Tulum is a lovely site, positioned on the cliff over the sea. It would have been lovely to have spent more time to explore though. The cenote was beautiful and the most impressive we visited (although couldn't take our own photos so had to buy the onsite ones where were $$$). Turtle snorkelling experience was amazing and lunch was yummy!!!

Liliah is een heel leuke gids die op een leuke manier verteld over hun cultuur en al wat je ziet. Het enige minpunt was dat we geen tijd kregen om foto's te kopen bij de cenote en aangezien we zelf geen foto's mochten nemen, moeten we het bij een herinnering in onze gedachten houden en kunnen we het niet delen met onze familie en vrienden. Het snornelen met de schildpadden in hun natuurlijke habitat was ook super! Echt een aanrader voor jong en oud.

Our guide, Erika, was excellent & knowledgeable and our driver Ricky very helpfull throughout the day and was providing us with bottles of water. As a group we saw 5 Turtles and a Stingray during the Snorkeling activity. The only downside of the tour was that you could not take your own pictures at the Cenote. The pictures were taken by staff at the location and they wanted to charge a hefty 3000 Mexican Peso's (approximately £127) for downloading about 14 or so pictures.

Einsprachig gebucht und wurde versprochen man wird informiert wenn es nicht so ist, stimmt nicht! Erst im Bus haben wir davon erfahren, der Guide hatte es wohl eilig und ist durch Tulum gesprintet ohne wirklichen Inhalt mit drei Stops welcher von den Spachen her abwich. Auch die Koordinierten Abläufe waren nicht wirklich zu erkennen wir mussten Ihn mehrfach darauf hinweisen das wir nicht vollständig sind oder noch welche nicht so schnell sind. Alles in Allen sein Geld nicht wert!

It was all good generally. Mario and Eddie were excellent guides. A really good day. The photo packages at The Cenote are ridiculously priced $80 minimum. Fair bit of time in the minibus, albeit only 30 minutes or so at a time - but lots of them (and lunch was a fair distance away and was therefore quite a whistle stop). Whilst the trip was very good (especially The Cenote) it did feel as though Cancun Adventures knew exactly how to focus on income vs costs.

Der Auslfug war mit 4-8 Stunden angesetzt und dauerte letztlich über 13 Stunden. Essen gab es erst um 15.30 Uhr. Nach der Cenote keine Zeit zum umziehen, daher etwa 5h nass im Bus gesessen. Alles war sehr gehezt. Zwar war die Cenote und Tulum schön, aber die schlechte Organisation hat den ganzen Tag zu einem einzigen Stressfaktor gemacht. Auf dem Heimweg ist dann noch das Fahzeug verreckt und musste getauscht werden. Insgesamt definitiv keine Empfehlung.

This experience was not as enjoyable as I'd hoped, I felt as if I was overlooked because I was on my own. The Tui rep talked me into this excursion saying I would get more benefit from it, rather than the half day excursion i originally booked. The meal was far too late in the day so I missed out on a meal at my hotel, the guide seemed to only want to talk to the couples on the excursion. When I asked for help I was fobbed off. I didn't really enjoy the day at all.

Korte rondleiding op de site. Daarna cenote. Subliem. Alleen locker was defect. Wat tijd verloren. Zwemmen met schildpaddé super. Wel zeer weinig tijd tussen de activiteiten. Verplaatsing in nat bdpak op de zeer kleine bus met weinig beenruimte. Eten aan de kust was lekker.

Raffuel our guide was fantastic, very informative, engaging & great company 😌. We were offered snacks & water on the trip & ☂️ were provided as sunshades. Learnt a lot of local info in Tulum, Cenote swim was surreal & swimming with the 🐢 was amazing. Final stop along the bumpy road for beach front lunch topped the day off perfectly, giving us time to chat with our group. Would definitely recommend this experience & wouldn’t change a thing 😊

Fantastic trip made by the really knowledgeable, funny and soulful rep Hazall . Really enjoyed the turtle experience, the senote was great as was the Mayan temple. The beach visit for food was nice but a bit of a waste of time as you couldn’t swim .

The guide was brilliant (Damian). He was informative, funny and entertaining . The ruins were great visit. The guide told us at peak times the wait to enter is 2 hours. Luckily, we only waited 10 minutes. The cenote was great as well 10/10. The turtle viewing was so so in my view. Murky water and overcrowded. We used a van to get places which was full and cramped and we seemed to spend too long in the van. Overall a positive day we won’t forget mostly due to the guide.

We enjoyed the individual activities. We liked the guide who was informative and fun. The minibus was clean and well driven. The food was good too. The day was a lot of money but was value for money. We did not like the hard sell at various places, in particular Tulum where the tequilla shop was far too much. I would have liked to look round but did not because if the staff. Just stop it!

De excursie is prima hij praat wel erg snel Engels dus soms lastig te volgen. Duiken met schildpadden erg kort. The trip was far too long, we were collected at 6:40am and then travelled to 2 more hotels to collect other people. We then went to the Tour office in Playa Del Carmen to collect the tour guide, drop off 2 people who were going on a different tour and wait for another couple who were on our tour. We waited approximately 1 hour. We then drove to Tulum at the busiest time of the day., arriving at 9:30, Nearly 3 hours after pick up. The 3 experiences are too far apart, and lunch wasn’t until 2:30pm

A very enjoyable well guided experience. Our only negative would be the beach club, which added an unnecessary 2 hours to the trip. The sea water was brown (presumably due to the seaweed) so not inducive for swimming. food was adequate and the club itself a combination of shacks and portaloo cabins. The time would be better spent split between the Tulum ruins, cenote and Turtle swim.

Gut organisiert und Guide + Fahrer sehr freundlich und bemüht. Zum Schnorcheln finde ich Flossen wichtig. Diese gab es leider nicht dazu...hier empfehle ich zu fragen, wer gern mit Flossen schnorcheln möchte! Im Beachclub wäre mehr Zeit schln gewesen, um diesen entsprechend genießen zu können.

Trip was good, however the day should be longer, very little time at Tulum- after the guided talk, probably 10- 15 min free time only, when we walked around the headland. Need another hour, to wander the full site. Cenote swim truly incredible bucket list moment, I would do it again, but refuse photos next time, waste of time- too expensive. Turtle snorkel bucket list moment, privileged to see approx 6 turtles, guides very good. Beach club okay, food okay, but my second wrap had a hair in it.

Man war an vielen Orten, MayaTulum, Turtle und die Cenote an sich waren top und wunderschön. Der Guide sprach sehr schnell und nicht perfekt Deutsch, war manchmal schwierig zu verstehen. Die Cenote an sich toll, aber Fotoverbot - man konnte Fotos kaufen zu horrenden Preisen 50/70,- USD! Sehr schade. Ab Cenote bis Beachclub blieben wir in den nassen Sachen. Nicht schön. Auch vom Beachclub hatte man nichts(Essen und weg) Sonst toller Trip. Manchmal ist weniger mehr

Didn’t have enough free time to walk round ruins, only had 20 minutes which wasn’t long enough, but was then rushed to the gift shop area and given 30-40 minutes to look at souvenirs that were the same as everywhere else. Everyone we spoke to didn’t have time to read about each ruin and take photos, spoilt the day.

A mixed bag We set off from Cancun at 6.20am and returned just past 7pm. With a 9 yr old it was a long day. After picking other guests up it was 3 hrs before our first experience. Tulum Mayan site was fantastic & the Cenote was a real highlight. Unfortunately, our swimming with turtles was cancelled due to windy conditions. As we were looking forward to this the most this wasn’t ideal. Our guide Steph was first class, a pleasure to spend a day with. At £450 for 3 it was far to hugely overpriced.

Alles war gut organisiert und es war für alle Aktivitäten ausreichend Zeit vorhanden. Für das Schnorcheln (Meeresschildkröten) fand ich die Gruppe etwas zu groß. Wir haben tatsächlich zwei Schildkröten gesehen, aber leider hielten sich immer die gleichen Personen rundherum auf und machten auch nicht wirklich Platz.

The whole experience was amazing, tour guide was fabulous, friendly very professional and funny at the same time, the cenote was absolutely spectacular, ticked all the boxes. Read reviews about being rushed and needing more time, if you want two hours at tulum ruins then catch a lift noy a multi excursions experience, this is my second time with different cenote and it took my breath away. Beach side food was grand , very attentive hosts at the beach side bar, 20/10

Guiden Mika var fantastisk!! Tulum, Akumal og cenote var rigtige gode oplevelser. Maden på restauranten var super. Hvis jeg skulle vælge ville jeg hellere have mere tid i Akumal end på Beach club - det var lidt antiklimatisk.

Der Ausflug (173€ pro Person) wurde komplett von einem weiteren Dienstleister (nicht TUI) durchgeführt. Preis direkt beim Anbieter wären 95€. In der Cenote darf man keine Fotos machen, kann aber ab 80 Dollar Fotos machen lassen (absolute Abzocke, da auch hier der Dienstleister verantwortlich ist und nicht wie vor Ort erwähnt, eine staatliche Institution Fotos verbiete). Beim Schildkrötenschnorcheln schwimmen ca. 50 Personen um eine Schildkröte und versuchen ihr Glück

Very enjoyable day out. Cesar the guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and humourous Transport comfortable and clean Driver Lous very safe and careful Guide at Tulum Ruins very knowledgeable and took time to answer questions. Cenote- amazing couldn’t fault Akumal Turtle beach- wow! Couldn't fault Beach restaurant- food tasty and coffee sweet but nice. Only complaint about the trip was the price £150 pp is very steep and because of that we didn't purchase any other excursions.

Damian was de gids en Mateo was de chauffeur. Ik reis alleen en heb me nooit onveilig gevoeld. Damian zijn flauwe mopjes bracht meteen veel sfeer en hij zorgde er ook voor dat de gehele groep 1 geheel vormde. Mateo heeft ons overal veilig naartoe gereden en was ook enorm behulpzaam bij het in en uitstappen van de wagen. In Tulum kregen we na de uitleg nog 1uur de tijd om vrij rond te wandelen tussen de ruïnes wat zeker de moeite is. Prachtige uitzichten. De cenotes & turtles waren amazing.

Enjoyed all of the activities. Disappointed you are not allowed to take own pictures in the cenote. The pics the official photographer takes do not highlight the beauty of the cave. The snorkel was also rather crowded at times .

Our hotel has 2 receptions it wasn’t at all clear where we had to start. We enjoyed the whole trip although the changing facilities were pretty prehistoric. The photo package on offer at $80 or $100 was outrageous no one bought any hugely overpriced. The meal at the end of the trip was a long detour a good 30 minutes away from the turtles along a very bumpy track. Having preordered during the morning they managed to get it wrong. It really wasn’t worth the effort.

Overall trip was quite rushed to fit in all the activities. There was a long wait after pick up at Cancun Adventures waiting for the rest of the people to arrive there and join our bus for the day. Beach Club very rushed.

Ausflug war gut organisiert. Es hat mir nicht gefallen, dass das Fotografieren in der Cenote verboten war und dass ihre Fotos sehr teuer waren (90 Dollar). Das Schwimmen mit den Schildkröten war ebenfalls eine Enttäuschung – es wurde viel versprochen, aber wir haben nur einen Fisch und zwei Schildkröten gesehen. Das Mittagessen im Club war in Ordnung. Unterwegs sind wir zufällig auf ein Filmteam gestoßen, das einen neuen Film mit Salma Hayek drehte. Der Reiseleiter Aleks war ausgezeichnet.

Myriam our guide was excellent - enthusiastic and shared a huge range of knowledge. Cenote best we visited. Brilliant to see the turtles in the sea. Beach club lunch was at a lovely location. Unfortunately food was cold on our arrival.

There aren't many ruins to view at Tulum, the cenote swim was good but well off the beaten track, the swim with turtles was good but we didn't get lunch until 3 pm at the tours own beach club then dropped off after, it would have been better to reduce the cost and miss out this part, totally unnecessary, lunch should have been around 12 as we got picked up at 7.30 am, overall good but the late lunch tainted the trip

Gefallen hat uns das Schnorcheln mit den Schildkröten und der Beach Club. - Wir wurden 40 Minuten zu spät abgeholt vom Hotel. Der Guide ist erst später dazugekommen und wir mussten umsteigen. In Tulum war es durch unsere Verspätung schon sehr voll. Die Cenote ist sehr schön. Aber das Drumherum (Umkleide, Toilette, keine eigenen Fotos… ) ist das Geld nicht wert.

Had a brilliant day, guide Raful was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. Cenote swim was amazing. Plenty of water, snacks ( bananas & granola bar) swim with Turtles was nice, little disappointed that it was busy & not many Turtles. Lunch was amazing with tentative staff who couldn't do enough for you.

De rondleiding in Tulum was goed gegeven, maar hier mocht er gerust meer tijd zijn om de site vrij te verkennen. Het was een nogal kort bezoek. De cenote was mooi, en we hebben 6-7 schildpadden gezien!

The trip itself was ok but if our TUI rep said she had done the tour she should have explained about the very cramped bus with no storage facilities cramped conditions. Extremely bumpy roads going to the cenote and beach. Extremely uncomfortable for everyone. Also with the amount you pay for the tour you cannot take your own pictures and are trapped by onsite photographers which not good if you don’t have money. This should be made aware as no pictures to take home. Very disappointed

Wir hatten diese Tour über die Tui- Mitarbeiterin " Anja" im Hotel Rio Yucatan angeboten bekommen. In einem sehr angenehm geführten Gespräch wurde mit uns dieser Ausflug besprochen. Ich muss nach diesen, für uns sehr eindrucksvollen Ausflug sagen, dass Anja nicht zuviel versprochen hat. Wir waren schlichtweg begeistert von den Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch von der vollumfänglichen Betreuung.

This was the best experience of our entire holiday. All the elements of the tour were outstanding. Our guide spoke perfect English and gave us a knowledgeable and entertaining history about the Mayan culture and the ruins. I shall never forget the swim in the Ceynote. Swimming through the limestone cave with the uplit stalactites was simply beautiful. At all times our safety was paramount. We then swam with sea turtles on the beautiful beach and all followed by a most delicious lunch. 10/10

An für sich ist Tulum sehr sehenswert, aber leider hatten wir diesmal einen Guide in Tulum (Juni), der sehr schnell und schlecht verständlich deutsch gesprochen hat, es wirkte eher alles wie auswendig gelernt. Wir waren anfangs im Bus eine kleine Gruppe von nur 4 Pärchen und in Tulum kam aber leider noch eine zweite Gruppe dazu, so war es dann eine sehr große Gruppe und man wurde zu schnell durchgeführt, es konnte gar nicht richtig auf einen einwirken und schon war man schon wieder raus.

Guide Sergio was full of information on the local area, culture and history. He was our excellent guide for all activities. Tulum - brilliant visit, just the right length of time. Cenote - these are completely underground which wasn't made clear to all guests prior to booking. Not a problem unless you are claustrophobic but amazing experience. Swimming with turtles - brilliant! Lunch was super at a brilliant beach spot be aware it's quite a drive from the last activity. Super super trip!

Der Ausflug war wirklich schön. Wir hatten viel Spaß haben auch viel gesehen und können tatsächlich es auch weiterempfehlen. Wir sind mit Schildkröten und Mantarochen geschwommen. Auf das Essen in diesem Beach Club war sehr lecker.
