What to expect
Picture yourself at the edge of Galicica National Park, gazing down at the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ohrid stretching below — then stepping off the mountain to glide silently above one of Europe's oldest and most stunning lakes.This tandem paragliding flight offers you a bird's-eye view of Ohrid that no other experience can match. You'll soar above the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town, the shimmering lake, and the surrounding mountains of North Macedonia — with an experienced, certified pilot by your side throughout the entire flight.Your adventure begins with hotel pick-up from anywhere in Ohrid. You'll be driven up to the launch site in Galicica National Park (Premium option) or Velestovo (Standard option), where your pilot will provide a full safety briefing before takeoff. Once airborne, your 10 to 20-minute flight (depending on your chosen option) unfolds above the lake — and if conditions allow, you'll even get to take the controls yourself.After landing, the adventure continues with a complimentary 1-hour stand-up paddleboard session at Cuba Libre beach, allowing you to experience Lake Ohrid from both above and on the water in the same day.

Het ophalen zelf is even omschakelen want je zit, in mijn geval, als enige vrouw ineens in een jeep vol met mannen die je niet kent; 2 instructeurs voor het springen en een chauffeur die de jeep terug naar beneden rijdt terwijl jij vliegt. In mijn geval was mijn instructeur Sasho, echt een ontzettend lieve man die veel uitlegt en je op je gemak stelt. Tijdens het vliegen merk je ook dat ie veel ervaring heeft. De vlucht zelf is echt geweldig en ik vond het zelfs zo leuk dat ik morgen weer ga!!

We had a contact person from the company message us the day before and also arrange for a pick up time the next morning. The schedule changed, but we were kept informed and was given an option to choose time. The trip to the top of the mountain was an marvellous event on its own and the actually paragliding experience was sublime. Overall, mt expectations were exceeded.
