What to expect
Spend a day soaking up the scenery surrounding one of Italy's most popular lakes. Passing olive groves, cypresses and grand villas, stopping off at pastel-hued towns and enjoying a short boat trip along the way. The northern shores of Lake Garda offer dramatic mountains rising behind pretty lakeside villages such as Limone and Malcesine.Your coach will make its first stop at Sirmione, often hailed as the lake's most beautiful village. Here, you'll have an hour to soak up its charm before the journey to Limone. Spread around a bay with an exceptionally mild climate, it's undoubtedly one of the most scenic spots along the lake. The town is a gem, full of character and pretty views.Next, we'll take a short, scenic boat trip to Malcesine, on the opposite shore. It's an impressive medieval village crowned by a castle. You'll have an hour or so here to explore the maze of narrow streets and absorb its history.

We enjoyed all aspects of the bus trip and visits to a few villages. The little boat trip at Sirmione was very interesting too. The ferry from the Lovely village of alimony was very well organised and guide was so good and professional

Intensely disliked Limone. Was way overpopulated with tourists making it almost impossible to enjoy, you were carried along with the heaving masses, no chance to enjoy. The overpowering numbers who were queuing for the ferry who then pushed you out of the way to get in front of you to board - awful. I was so overwhelmed with the experience in Limone that I didn’t even look round Malcesine, just went to the meet point. I think a lot more information should be given before booking

Enjoyed learning some of history of area and the scenery. Did not enjoy the crowded, extreme waiting time (standing in same place for a long period) at Limone waiting for ferry. I think more emphasis should be given to forewarning anyone with mobility issues prior to booking the trip.

I thought the trip was over priced. We were take to three ferry stops where there were a lot of people and overpriced shops. We drove through a lot of lovely towns but did not stop. If it had been explained better then we would not have gone.

The title of the tour is misleading. We and others thought it was a boat trip around the lake whereas in reality it’s a coach trip that includes a public ferry across the lake. The guide was brilliant the problem was that in Limone there were too many people that meant it was difficult to move around and enjoy the town. The queue for the public ferry trip was difficult for the older passengers as too many people in a small square everyone panicking to get on . The tour title must be clearer

We enjoyed this trip to see 3 different towns around the Lake. Guide and driver were both really good. The visit to Sirmione was a bit rushed otherwise we would have given the trip a 10.

In general the trip was good, the guide was ok and didn’t bore everyone. It was chaotic waiting to get on the boat, there doesn’t seem to be much organisation when it comes to queuing for either boats or buses. After all these years you would think they would have devised a better system.

The guide (sorry cannot remember her name, but shes a Dutch lady) was excellent and very knowledgeable. She made sure we knew where to meet up after the free time Seeing the different towns was great but as you only got between 1- 2 hours at each town there was a bit of awareness that you had to be back at a certain time. It was a good way of testing which towns you might go back to for a whole day. Our guide was telling lots of the history of the areas so it passes time on the journey.

The guide Rosella was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and so helpful. The timings at each stop were perfect and the trip was a great way to see the different towns around the lake. Not sure I would like to do it by coach during the height of the season as the traffic, particularly through the tunnels, must be horrendous. Would recommend this trip.

Great trip to see the lovely towns of the lake, had about enough time to do everything we wanted. The guide was ok just not as engaging as others we’ve had before , the coach which was very old and seats were not comfortable for the length of time your on there - start at 8am in Garda and 2 hrs between Simone and Limone alone and apparently that was quick - Ferry was nice but all town really busy even in mid September. Quite a tiring day but really glad we saw these lovely towns.

We were to collect bus at bus station but unfortunately we were at the bus terminal!!, tui bus and a rep arrived and told us we were at wrong pick up place but she was so mythered by coach driver, couldn't tell us where we needed to be so with 10 mons to spare we ran down the road,age73,and 62 to try and locate BUS STATION. So a postcode added to PICK UP PLACE WOULD HELP. Not happy with the rep we spoke to ,she had no time to HELP Rebbecca reps name

Stunning scenery informative guide. Sermione was a spectacular place to visit as was Limone. The views were a real wow factor. Lovely walk around Malcesine as well. Luckily had been to Sermione a few days before as really needed more time to visit this wonderful place so maybe an extra 45 mins there on the tour would have been helpful for others to visit the Grotte di Catullo ruins.

Guide was very informative, helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed the trip seeing a lot in one day. Only negative was we were advised we would have around 1.5 hrs in Sirmione when we booked but when we arrived that time included getting escorted to the centre from the bus park and getting allowing time to queue for the toilet so we only had 45 mins free time to look around which wasn't really enough. Every other place we had at least 1 5 hrs free time which was enough..

The guide dwerka was lovely. She spoke a lot about what we saw. We did the extra boat trip in sirmione for €12 each. Had approx 1 11/2 hrs in each place which isn't really enough to look round and it but it was a full day. Limone was our least favourite to how packed it was. Left at 8 got back about 5.15. Would recommend

Frederick the tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and made the trip interesting with lots of information about the regions and history of Italy. A good trip to get a flavour of the Lake, stopping at several points. Because the size of Lake Garda and the distance traveled, it means it’s difficult to spend a lot of time at each of the stops. Worth doing the trip!

Very much enjoyed seeing the various towns, Sirmione, Limone and Malcesine. Scenery was breathtaking, guides knowledge was excellent. The only quibble would be the amount of time in each which was not enough but do appreciate the travel needed to see these places.

We visited 3 lovely places. Ideally would have liked longer in each but I understand that is not possible in order to be able to see them all in one day. Guide was clear and informative. Long queue for the ferry but that is public transport so out of Tui’s hands. Lovely trip, would recommend.

It offered a great way to see much off the area around Lake Garda in a day. The guide, Francesco, was superb. He passed on his knowledge on the history of the area along with his own musings on life in a very amusing style. Time in the towns visited is limited to an hour/hour and a half but probably to be expected given the distances covered. These times match the time spent on the coach which passes through some lovely scenery on route to the towns. Overall I would highly recommend this trip.

Our guide Francessco was amazing! He was friendly,funny, precise with times and instructions and he was also extremely knowledgeable. The driver of the bus was great and made passengers feel very secure. The tour was perfect allowing us to see the beautiful scenery, learn about the history and visit these beautiful towns each with it's own charm! Loved it@.

It was a beautiful way to see all round the lake. Our guide, Francesco, was outstanding, informative, knowledgeable and humorous. He made the trip even better. Highlight for me was the ferry crossing. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Tour was not as advertised. Information was given on the bus and there was no guiding at any of the three stops. Taken off bus and told where to meet for return. Guide was sweating profusely . No real check that everyone was back on the bus. Didn’t visit any landmarks with guide. Could have organised ourselves for half the price. Offered optional boat trip which we did . Guide came on this but half the bus didn’t so basically guide sat on boat. At end asked to show financial appreciation!

I felt the trip was mis-sold. Appreciate the rep made clear it was a bus trip with a boat however we spent longer on the coach than at each of the destinations combined. So much information was missing that would have been key: coach duration, cash needed, whether advisable to bring food. We got 5 minute to explore Limione as we opted for the speedboat & needed to use bathroom before coach. Limone l, again limited time as needed to grab quick lunch. 50 mins only at final locationS

Loved the guide he was funny, very informative, polite and very organised. He made the history easy to understand and kept it simple without an overload of irrelevant details. It would have been nice to have slightly more time at the stops but traffic didn’t allow. Not a problem as we got all the photos and saw everything we wanted. I thought this was a great trip

Should have been called a coach trip with a boat ride. Over 5 hours on a coach, with a 20 minute ferry ride. The tour guide was great and really knowledgeable but we didn’t expect to be on the coach for so long. It spoilt the excursion. You need to make it clearer how long is spent on the coach

The three towns that we visited were amazing and the trip is worth the price just to visit Limone. Our guide Rosella (I’m sure that was her name) was very informative and helpful and did an amazing job of managing 51 guests on the trip. The only downside was the amount of time spent on the bus between destinations however a small price to pay for the views at Limone

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and our tour guide was amazing. It was well organised and informative with plenty of time to go off and do your own thing. It also called at the best stops stops around the lake. It would be good for the stops to be a little more flexible on times depending on travel and traffic. We felt time was cut slightly shorter with delays but can understand why this would be if some trips are based on booking duration or pre scheduled pickups.

The trip didn't go as planned as a fierce storm took down a tree and blocked the route to Limone so our guide Orlando organised an alternative destination, Riva del Garda which was really lovely. The Sirmione boat trip was excellent value for money and we would highly recommend this add on. Overall it was a lovely day, however the free time in Sirmione and Malcesine didn't allow for seeing enough of these beautiful places. Brilliant coach driver Victoria.

The whole experience was rushed, didn’t really get a feel for all 3 towns, plus being stuck in the tunnel for 45 minutes didn’t help. I understand this is quite normal and happens a lot. Also, the guide was repetitive which made it boring.

Journey from Sirmione to Limone in bus was too long without a comfort stop. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our day out but some of the directions to pick up points were quite flimsy. Great way to see more of the beautiful places around the lake

The trip gave us a reasonable overall picture of Lake Garda & surrounding area. The guide although coming over as pleasant was, at times, difficult to understand & we were bombarded with irrelevant information. She spoke non stop on the 2 hour trip to Limone. Also rushed the group quickly from point to point.

Very enjoyable, Thomas the guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a good insight about Lake Garda. The pick up times were very punctual.

We never had much time in each of the resort we visited, felt very rushed . Maybe do the south of the island visiting other resorts that weren’t included and do the north of the island as another trip . I’m sure that would work out as other guests on my tour felt the same

Trip was good, guide was excellent, but it was quite expensive so I can't give a high mark for VFM. Be warned, there is a fair bit of walking, especially down steps in Limone. An elderly gent on our trip really struggled and held up the group. Good taster to discover other towns around the lake, we went back to Sirmione and Malcesine ourselves in the following days.
