Op deze adults-only catamarantocht vaar je een halve dag rond Boa Vista en het eilandje Sal Rei. Na een veiligheidsbriefing van de bemanning zet je koers langs de kustlijn van Boa Vista. Miguel, onze deskundige lokale gids zegt “terwijl je rond Boa Vista en Sal Rei vaart, krijg je uitzichten te zien die nooit vervelen – denk aan kilometers aan gouden stranden en intrigerende rotsformaties langs de hele kust.”Als je langs Sal Rei vaart zie je het Fort van de Hertog van Braganca - deze plek werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd om het gebied te verdedigen tegen piraten. Het eiland was ook een epicentrum voor de zoutproductie. Sal Rei betekent in het Portugees dan ook Zoutkoning – dit geeft wel aan hoe diepgeworteld de zoutgeschiedenis hier is. Tussen half maart en half mei is het warme water een belangrijke plek voor bultruggen om te paren en hun jongen te krijgen. Dus als we daar varen, heb je de kans om ze in hun natuurlijke omgeving te zien.Aan boord wordt er alles aan gedaan om je energie op peil te houden. Met all-inclusive drankjes en snacks legt de vriendelijke bemanning je in de watten. En als de kapitein het anker uitgooit heb je de kans om af te koelen met een duik in zee. We enjoyed every part of the trip, the staff onboard were absolutely fantastic, dancing and singing, and what a good idea to have a little pool at the rear of the boat, so that people that were unsure could swim in the sea. It was also great that everything was provided onboard as stated.

Personeel was heel vriendelijk en maakte er een leuke belevenis van. Er werd muziek gemaakt en gedanst. We hebben nog even kunnen zwemmen en daarna lekker wat gegeten. De excursie is een echte aanrader voor mensen die graag op het water zijn. We hebben zelf walvissen kunnen zien!

Service, crew en entertainment was heel goed. De tocht op zich stelde niet veel voor. De tussenstop was niet bijzonder, met snorkelen viel niets te zien. Ook geen walvissen gezien wat wel min of meer is gezegd door Tui medewerker in hotel. Het was meer drinken, dansen en eten. Daar kwamen wij iet voor.

Hotel pickup was by TUI coach. Make sure you arrive 5 mins before. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The dancing was great fun. The fizzy wine was nice and drinks free flowing. I am pleased I knew the catamaran only sailed around the island. The swim stop was nice and the towels very good. We had a lovely time

Everything was spot on from pick and drop off. I did see whales unfortunately I didn't get chance to get my phone out. All staff were lovely, drink and food onboard was good. Definitely recommend this.

The staff put on a show on our way back which I wasn't expecting and it was really good! Plus the food was good and the catamaran was clean and comfortable. I didn't realise we had to get a dinghy to it though as this wasn't mentioned in the excursion description.

Pour le guide parlant français, très peu d'infos par rapport aux clients anglophones dans le bus. Revoir l'état des masques tubas élastiques et étanchéité... Sinon super ambiance à bord avec les animateurs bonlunch et boissons à volonté. 👏

Loading on to the catamaran is extremely hard, although the staff are extremely helpful it’s definitely a struggle for most people transferring from the rib boat to the catamaran. Thankfully my mum cancelled at the last minute, even tho TUI staff said she would be fine getting onto the catamaran, otherwise she would have been embarrassed when trying to get on board. More info on wildlife would have been appreciated.

Mit dem Katamaran einmal im Kreis gefahren.10 Euro mehr bezahlt weil ein findiger Geschäftsmann sich gedacht hat man könnte es gleich mit einer Waltour verbinden was natürlich totaler Quatsch ist aber Geld in die Kasse spült !!!

Heerlijk even op de oceaan. Leuk het eiland voor een gedeelte vanaf de oceaan te kunnen zien. Geen bultruggen gezien, zelfs niet in de verte. Snorkelen is op zich leuk, maar ook daarmee was niets te zien dan zand, wat afgebroken koraalstukjes en een paar kleine visjes....

Awful weather - admittedly not TUI's fault here... Literally cruised (late by half an hour) in an arc from starting point, weather too cold for scuba diving and no encouragement, utterly dreadful food; crew tried their best with dancing; return arc back to port. Utter waste of 158 euros. Very poor TUI and extremely disappointing ..

Die Crew war sehr nett und freundlich!!! Leider haben wir keine Wale gesehen und auch beim Schnorcheln war die Sicht gleich null. Dafür kann aber die Crew nichts!!! Trotzdem empfehlenswert!!!

Le tour en catamaran était super mais je déplore que l’on soit resté dans la même zone proche du point de départ et l’arrêt « snorkeling » était clairement une arnaque. Il n’y avait rien à voir, la zone ne présentait aucune faune, aucune flore et une eau très trouble. Rien à voir !

My son and I booked this trip for £158 expecting an enjoyable half day experience. The weather unfortunately was cold , grey and wet which wasn't ideal but that wasn't the issue here. The boat offered unlimited drinks for those who wanted that but we went for the scuba diving. The boat literally did an arc from the port, dropped anchor . 2 people were brave enough to don mask and snorkel, my son included. Then it was the crew dancing whilst we were offered inedible food. Total waste of money.

Wasn’t really what we were expecting, reminded me of a 18-30’s boat trip. Lots of alcohol being consumed by many making a loud unpleasant experience for others. The boat needs more anti slip matting, I fell along with three others that I saw. No one came to my aid or see if I was ok. Too many people so difficult to move around. Although I’d said I was gluten free, hardly any food choice and wasn’t clearly labelled so difficult to know what was what. Suggest other hotels have separate transfer

De bemanning deed het netjes en zorgde goed voor de mensen, leuke sfeer. De trip op zich stelde niet veel voor. Vanuit haven wegvaren met de catamaran, rondje om eilandje varen en vastleggen. Daar had je de mogelijkheid om te snorkelen. Daarna weer terug naar de haven. “ rondje om de kerk “. Mss goed om eens naar de gevraagde prijs te kijken.

Staff were excellent and enthusiastic, couldn`t` fault them. The trip, hugely disappointing, started on the catamaran for a trip around an island 150 yards off shore, Sailed around the coast of the island to stop to snorkel within 150 yards of where we had stared, to snorkel then turn around and circle the island back to mooring. No sighting of whales, no promised marine biologist input. and never in waters likely to be deep enough to encounter whales as stated likely.

Fantastic trip, Catamaran was spotless clean and very comfortable, , staff were brilliant, drinks and food supplied were plentiful, we stopped off for a swim in a beautiful location and then dancing and singing on the way back, so glad we did it 😊 only downside didn’t see no whales😞

The service, staff were great, very helpful, informative and safety aware. They all worked hard and they provided good entertainment. The snacks provided were excellent, more like a light lunch, drinks were readily available, it was lovely to be greeted with a welcome drink as we boarded. The Catamaran was clean, comfortable & well maintained. Overall a great trip, I would recommend. Disappointed we didn’t see the Whales, that’s nature for you!

Fahrt war ganz gut… allerdings nur um eine kleine Insel herum, dann eine Stunde Pause und dann um die gleiche Insel zurück… von Walen hab wir auch nichts gesehen. Die Fahrt an sich war aber gut, der Katamaran ist 2 Jahre alt, also wie neu. Muss man mal gemacht haben, aber würde ich kein zweites Mal buchen.

Es wurde kein Wert darauf gelegt Wale zu sehen oder Etwas mehr aufs Meer heraus zu fahren. Wir lagen nur an einer Sandbank konnten schwimmen und schnorcheln. Währenddessen was essen und trinken dann ging es wieder zurück zum Anlieger

We had an amazing afternoon even though the weather wasn’t the best we did manage to see a couple of whales The crew were absolutely brilliant I am not the most mobile 70 year old but they assisted where necessary mainly getting in and out of the dingy I felt very safe and not foolish at all the food great and the dancing was superb

Schnorchelstopp war nicht so gut, es gab beim Schnorcheln nichts zu sehen. Walbeobachtung war nur aus sehr weiter Entfernung für wenige Sekunden möglich, aber das kann man kaum beeinflussen. Besatzung und Boot waren top.

Even though it was cold, I still enjoyed this experience from start to finish. The staff were very professional and energetic. The snacks were delicious and the entertainment on the way back was very enjoyable. It’s a shame we did not see any whales, but this did not take anything away from the overall experience.

As an experience this is the least worthwhile excursion we have ever participated in with Tui by far. It's quite cheeky that you even call it a trip, spending an hour sailing only to realise you are anchoring approximately 3 minutes away from where you set sail is disappointing to say the least. We were also told by the rep in the hotel the price was slightly higher than originally quoted when we sat down, as a marine biologist would be on board, and this proved not to be the case!

Der Ausflug war sehr gut organisiert. An der Einstiegsstelle wurden zunächst Schwimmwesten verteilt, da wir mit einem Tenderboot zum Katamaran gebracht wurden. Die Mitarbeiter waren beim Einstieg behilflich. Dennoch kann das für manche Personen etwas schwierig sein, da es doch sehr wackelig ist. Die Fahrt mit dem Katamaran war sehr schön und bei einem Stopp war genügend Zeit zum Schnorcheln und Schwimmen. Die Verpflegung war sehr gut, Getränke und kleine Snacks sind inklusive. Die Crew war top.

Having a change to see a whale was amazing the snorkelling was very good but that was probably due too weather conditions staff friendly mix up with coaches on the way back to hotel only 1 turned up when 2 were needed

Loved that staff stopped to show us a whale as one appeared. Overall it was a very fun trip. It would have been nice if blankets or more towels were provided as after swimming it was very cold on the boat with the wind blowing. Newer snorkels would also be good as they were quite cloudy and not the best fitting, especially as the boat is new. Food was good!

From M Sibson 2nd passenger the bus was crammed even extra seating was used down the Isle. If anything was to happen and needed to get out the aisle was blocked no one would be able to get off without climbing over people. To get to the boat a rubber dingy picked you up there was a drop of about 2ft into the dingy , why not steps. People with restricted movement would find it hard or impossible. The snacks were different spread cheese and tomatoes sandwiches !!

The catamaran itself was a brilliant experience the only downside, for me, was getting on and off the tender. If I’d known how I was going to be getting on and off the catermaran I would not have gone on the trip as I don’t like getting on and off boats in this way as it scares me, and once I was on the only thing I could think of was worrying about getting off again, and there were a couple of others who said the same. The rest of the trip was great, staff, entertainment, food and drinks.

Paid £61.00 for sat 28th, cancelled. Rebooked 3rd found that the cost had reduced to £52.00. To be honest even st the lower cost it would have not been very good value for money, have been on far better catamaran cruises before. Very disappointed, feel I have been robbed

The food was terrible - boat left late as the crew were fixing another boat that had broken down. No swimming pool on the back of the boat we were sold as it was too windy but were encouraging people to swim still? No safety briefing until after everyone was already claimed seats and told move 5 mins in - my friend who was 70 fell over after being told there were to be only 2 ppl sat on the cushions? Why were we told this before the boat had set off - would have been safer to move. Too many ppl
