Deep in the Takua Pa rainforests lies a ‘lost world'. Known locally as Little Amazon, it's like Jurassic Park without the dinosaurs though there's plenty of exotic wildlife. This adventure kicks off in the old-world town of Takua Pa before exploring Little Amazon by canoe.Journey to Takua Pa, a town that has an edge-of-civilisation feel. Sino-Portuguese buildings stand beside Chinese shrines and tea houses, and it's from here that we'll venture into the lost world. Once inside, you'll take a canoe down the Klong Sung Nae River, floating through the shadows of massive banyan trees.We'll make our way to the tropical palm forest, all the while listening closely for signs of wildlife. After you've spent some time exploring the forest, it's back to Takua Pa. Here, you'll be immersed in local Thai culture. There'll be some sightseeing in the town, too, with highlights including Thai and Chinese temples, and houses that were built centuries ago.

Wir hatten erwartet einen Night Market zu besuchen. So wurde es uns von dem TUI Mitarbeiter Vadim erzählt. Das wir dort vor allem länger unterwegs sein werden. Dies war nicht der Fall und für uns wirklich schade.

Da ich an dem Tag nicht gut zu Fuß war hat sich der Guide sehr um mich bemüht und war auch sehr besorgt er hätte mir auch einen Transfer für zurück besorgt aber es alles gut geklappt abholen von der Kanu Tour zum Bus mit dem Roller war echt nett vielen Dank noch mal für den tollen Service.Es wurde alles super erklärt von den Tempellanlagen bis hin zur Geschichte der Altstadt

A great day out , a peaceful trip in the mangroves looking for wildlife, the rest of the day was full of culture & learning about the effects of the Tsunami. Lovely lunch overlooking the beautiful countryside.

+ Die Kanufahrt in Little Amazon war das Highlight der Reise. Auch Alt Takua Pa war interessant zu sehen. - Das Sitzen im mit 11 vollbesetzten Van war sehr beengt.

Our guide was excellent so knowledgeable in so many ways, even down to telling us about his personal experience of the Tsunami. He was brought up in the old town so had extensive knowledge of the area. Every part of the tour was enjoyable. We attended a market where I picked up a shawl for very little that I’d forgotten for temple visit, but didn’t really need it. Coffee at the end with very unusual deserts was excellent. Meal was good in a very scenic setting. Would definitely recommend.

Es war ein rundum gelungener Tag mit einem sehr kompetenten Guide und einem hervorragenden Fahrer. Die Eindrücke waren vielfältig und sehr interessant. Die reservierten Lokale sowohl zum Mittagessen als auch zum Kaffee waren sehr gut ausgewählt und alles schmeckte hervorragend.

Die Kombination von Kultur und Natur ist bei diesem Ausflug vollkommen ausgeglichen, so dass beide Teile auf ihre Kosten kommen. Einfach ein toller Ausflug. Unserer Meinung nach der beste.

We loved everything about this excursion, all the staff at little Amazon very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you get to see any wildlife, they didn’t rush us and let us take it all in. Food at restaurant was the tastiest we had all holiday. Our tour guide was amazing and explained a lot of the culture to us and let us go at our own pace to ensure we had enough time at each stop off. One of the best excursion we ever done.

Da es eine kleine Gruppe mit 4 Personen war konnte der Guide auf unsere Wünsche eingehen. Wir haben die geplante Route ein wenig geändert und haben zum Abschluss das Tsunami Museum besichtigt. Der Guide hat uns sehr viele Informationen gegeben, einfach nur gut.

Der Ausflug war sehr schön, leider haben wir die Reiseleiterin kaum verstanden, weil sie sehr schlecht deutsch gesprochen hat. Außerdem sprach sie extrem laut, so dass man von ihr immer ein bisschen Abstand halten musste.

Var afsted med 3børn på 7, 11 og 13. Vi fik set lidt af det mere autentiske Thailand. Vi startede på lokalt marked, derefter besøgte vi det gamle tin-mine område, kørte igennem en næsten forladt landsby. Frokost på en bjerge-top restaurant og til sidst sejltur i Little-Amazon hvor vi så aber, slanger og fugle. Venlig og dygtig guide, god tid ved de forskellige stop.

Insgesamt war die Tour in Ordnung. Ich hatte mir nur unter Takua Pa einen wesentlich größeren Ort vorgestellt. Essen und sogar die Getränke waren inklusive. Der Guide, Messi, war wirklich sehr nett und um uns bemüht. Er war beim Einkaufen am Markt behilflich. Er fuhr zum Schluss auch noch zum Tsunami Memorial. Am Little Amazonas fuhren wir insgesamt eine Stunde, leider hatten wir nicht sehr viele Tiere gesehen. Insgesamt ein schöner und abwechslungsreicher Tag.
