Was a fantastic day out so informative and was so great to sea the work that was being done with the turtles and the elephants, then to cap it all you go down the river on a raft which was so relaxing and great fun

Our guide Non was excellent, he was very informative and made sure everyone was comfortable and had a good time. The elephant experience was wonderful and the real highlight, the bamboo rafting was lovely, very peaceful and beautiful scenery with our guide pointing out the wild life, we saw fish, frogs and a snake. The lunch was tasty and plentiful, they told us to just let them know if we wanted more and they bought refills. The sea turtle sanctuary was ok but felt a little underwhelming.

Norsut ja bambulautalla jokea laskeminen oli mukavat elämykset, kilpikonnat aika tylsä kohde. Huvittavaa oli myös lounaan järjestäminen Bang Niangissa eli ajeltiin edestakaisin Khao Lakin päätietä, varmaan olisi lähempänäkin ollut lounaspaikka. Mitään ekologista matkamuistoa emme askarrelleet, piti kuvauksen mukaan kuulua ohjelmaan. Ja retkeä varatessa sen hinta kohosi ilmoitetusta, jota en voi ymmärtää, eihän nyt mistään festarilipusta sentään ollut kysymys.

The day started off with the elephants, feeding them, stroking them and watching them swim. Then off to a waterfall for a quick dip. Then it was back into town for food and a foot bath before heading back on the bus to the turtle sanctuary. Overall a great trip. However I knock one star off because two of us in our group got food poisoning from something at lunch time so be wary.

The guide was excellent - friendly and informative! Each element of the trip was very good - the elephants were obviously the highlight, but the turtles, foot spa after lunch, and bamboo rafting were also holiday highlights! We weren’t too bothered about the waterfall but that was just us. It was an excellent day out which we would definitely recommend!!!

There was plenty of time with the elephants, it didn't feel rushed. The lunch was delicious and lots to choose from. The foot spa was a nice, relaxing experience post lunch. The bamboo rafting was a lot of fun and the paddlers were excellent at pointing out wildlife. The waterfall felt like a waste of time.

Im Grunde war das ein sehr schöner Ausflug aber leider wurde uns nicht die geänderten Abfahrtzeiten mitgeteilt dadurch waren wir zu spät und das Auto musste umkehren und uns noch mal abholen. Beim abholen war die Reiseleitung sehr unfreundlich was uns eigentlich den Ausflug verleitete .Erst später nach dem ich ihr den Voucher gezeigt habe mit den Abholzeiten wurde uns geglaubt, und erst dann hat sie sich für ihren Ton entschuldigt. Dies war dennoch für uns sehr befremdlich.

We loved the experience at the elephant sanctuary. Very well organised and felt that the retired elephants were cared for very well. Great to be able to feed them. Our guide was brilliant (James) as well as the driver. Our guide was funny, attentive and always considered safety. We were advised by rep that lunch was in a Michelin star restaurant although it did show a Michelin sticker on door and the food good I would not consider it being a Michelin. The bamboo rafting was brilliant.

Incredible experience from the bamboo raft trip to seeing the majestic elephants where we fed them bananas plus made food for them , watched them bath etc all in a very well cared for sanctuary and all done in the monsoon downpours

Wir haben diesen Ausflug gebucht, weil uns versichert wurde, dass die Elefanten in einer möglichst natürlichen und artgerechten Umgebung leben würden. Leider entsprach die Realität absolut nicht diesen Erwartungen. Die Haltungsbedingungen der Tiere waren alles andere als artgerecht, und es wurde schnell deutlich, dass es in erster Linie darum ging, Touristen eine “Show” zu bieten – ohne Rücksicht auf das Wohl der Tiere. Die Versprechen des Veranstalters wurden nicht eingehalten, und wir fühlten

Guiden Non vi fick var helt otroligt bra! Att få mata elefanterna och se de på ett respektfullt avstånd var fantastiskt. Ta med handduk och bikini, det står ej med. Man får möjlighet att bada både vid vattenfallet och under turen med bambuflotte. Även om man inte badar så blir det väldigt blött under åkturen!

Muuten mainio retki, mutta bambulautoissa ei ollut selkänojia (Sofian kanssa oli puhetta aiheesta ja hän oli käsityksessä, että sellaiset olisi) ja uimapuvulle olisi voinut olla käyttöä, mistä ei netistä löytyvässä retken kuvauksessa mainita mitään. Näin ollen kokisin, että ainakin maininta uikkareista kannattaisi lisätä retken kuvaukseen.

Wir haben Dank unserem Guide Tami einen wunderschönen Tag verbracht. So ein sympathischer und freundlicher Tour Guide. In dem Elefantenschutzgebiet war es sehr interessant bei der Zubereitung und Fütterung mitzuhelfen. Wir wurden stets mit kalten Getränken und Erfrischungstücher versorgt und hatten die Möglichkeit eine Toilette aufzusuchen.. Die Schildkrötenauffangstation war sehr nett und die schöne Bambussfloßfahrt durch den Dschungel war ebenfalls wunderschön. Das Mittagessen war lecker !

The tour was amazing, our guide Non was so knowledgeable, he made our experience a day to remember . The turtle conservation was really interesting , how they raise the baby turtles from hatchlings & release , also the older turtles been caught in fishing nets , released when made better . Elephant sanctuary was an experience I will never forget , they are so well looked after after not such a great start in their lives . Food was fab, rafting brilliant , honestly book the tour it’s a memory

Great experience. Picked up in a minibus with a group of 9. We got to prepare elephant food and hand feed. Guide was knowledgeable and keen for us to have a great experience. Gave us extra food to feed elephants. You watch the elephants bathe which was really fun. Bamboo rafting was great but be prepared to get wet! Also a chance to swim in the river which we took. Turtle sanctuary interesting and important but a bit run down. Food was decent. Waterfall a nice extra but nothing incredible. Ta!

Great day out. Sanctuary felt real. You get to watch the elephants bathe but don’t join in. It’s much safer and more natural for the elephants this way. Still a good hands on experience too. Rafting was great but would have liked it to last a bit longer. Guide was great

James and Non our tour guides were honestly AMAZING. the whole trip was incredible. The elephants are so well looked after, James is an amazing photographer and will take photos on your phone. You see SO much in this trip, the resteraunt is amazing And food is brilliant. Foot bath was included and waterfall which we didn’t realise. Really close to Khaolak was only driving about 10 mins to and from sentido. The bamboo rafting was honestly AMAZING. take swim stuff to swim. It’s lush!

The elephants were awesome, the turtles were interesting, but the guide didn’t explain anything about what they were doing- just left us to wander about. The bamboo raft river ride was altered (by Tui)- after I had booked the trip- it was changed to a canoeing trip, it was awful, the mangrove river was filthy and the inflatable rafts were very uncomfortable- we were told we would see a large variety of wildlife, we saw none. Very disappointing.

The trip to the elephants and turtles was a great experience. The tour guide (James) and the driver are polite and attentive. The bamboo rafting was also adventurous and the lunch was also excellent. We were lucky because when we visited the naval base, they were releasing turtles into the open sea that are big enough to live on their own.

We booked through the TUI App which doesn’t say you need swimming gear and towels. Lucky the guide waited while we went back to our room to get them. The elephants and bamboo rafting were amazing but the waterfall was a waste of time. Turtle conservation centre was really good too and the food at lunch was delicious.

The guide we had was absolutely fabulous; he was informative and so passionate about giving us the best Thai experience. We learnt so much during the day both at the elephant sanctuary and the turtle conservation centre and also learnt a lot about traditional Thai cooking and preparation. We loved the rafting experience- it was very relaxing and the day was action packed. We also liked the fact that there wasn't too much travelling involved either.

Our guide named Non, unsure on spelling, was amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly and knew so much about the elephants, turtles and Thai life in general. The trip itself was scheduled really well with the highlight being feeding the elephants and watching them bathe. Our lunchtime meal was gorgeous and the foot spa after was a bonus. This experience/day was definitely one of our highlights of 2 weeks in Thailand. Non needs a lot of praise as he made it very special.

Amazing day. The guide, James, was knowledgeable and made it fun. At the elephant sanctuary, the elephants were well cared for and it was obvious the staff loved looking after them. There was also an intern from Belgium who was really knowledgeable about eco and elephants. The sea-turtle conservation centre was really interesting. The lunch and foot spa - amazing. And the rafting experience - brilliant. To finish with a swim under a waterfall, topped the day off perfectly. Brilliant day.

We visited on Thursday, 16th November 2023 and our guide was called Noor who was fantastic! He was so informative about everything we did and we learned so much more about the Thai lifestyle too. He told lots of information at the turtle sanctuary and again at the elephant sanctuary which was a very special experience. Lunch was delicious and we soaked our feet and created individual pictures using the sap of leaves and flowers which were unexpected extras. Overall, an amazing guide and trip!

This trip was not worth the price paid. The trip wasn't all day and we were back at our hotel by 3pm. The trip felt rushed and the guide mainly spoke in German as I was the only English speaking person. Lunch was very sparse and there was no formal information given at the turtle conservation project. On the whole, very disappointed. Especially after speaking to other people who had done the half day bathing trip and it sounded much better for the same amount of money almost.

Wat ik leuk vond is dat het een kleine groep was en de reisleider aandacht had voor iedereen. Verder was het rustig en chill en kon ik van deze mooie grote dames genieten. Ik heb geen enkele moment meegemaakt waarvan ik dacht:" Nee, dit is niets". Had ze wel willen schrobben en baden...maar ze hebben lekker een eigen willetje. Mooie beesten!!!

Geweldige dag vol avontuur! Olifanten die op een natuurlijke respectvolle manier worden behandeld in mooie omgeving. Lunch in een top restaurant met authentieke Thaise gerechten (ja kruidig-pittig). Met bamboe vlotten de rivier af, geweldige beleving, de pubers vonden het prachtig. Afsluiten met een bezoek aan zeeschildpadden, die moet he can dichtbij gezien hebben. Onvergetelijke dag!

Our guide was simply fantastic. I booked on an English speaking tour, but ended up being the only English speaker, but she went out of her way to accommodate me. The elephant sanctuary is a wonderful experience and great for little ones. Rafting, lunch and a stop at the waterfalls were all great bonuses. Highly recommended

Mycket bra heldag med en verkligt engagerad guide (kallade sig för James). Besöket hos elefanterna var mycket bättre än jag trodde, fick både mata elefanter samt lära sig om matkulturen i Thailand. Besöket hos sköldpaddorna var intressant och flottfärden var riktigt bra. Lite lite vatten bara då det är torrperiod nu men det gjorde inget. Kan rekommenderas.

Too much time was wasted collecting people from other hotels....8 more people from 4 hotels and some were NOT ready....wasted over an hour! Elephant sanctuary, Lunch, Bamboo rafting all very good. Turtle conservation centre.....could have done with some information...no guide there and our guide just wandered off and left us to it.

Dry session. No water in waterfall. Something else should be done instead, ex visit a temple instead. All other activities were very nice
