I told Claire the rep at yucan Mexico I wasn’t a confident swimmer and was the trip ok for me and she said absolutely yes and absolutely no it wasn’t , you have to be am confident swimmer and know how to use a snorkel and mask , so please don’t lie and tell people you do need to be able to swim with confidence and be able to use a snorkel , I know they have to earn commission but I will not book with them again as if they told the truth I would have booked loads more trips

Experience was great however there are issues with this tour. I was moved to another group last minute and had to wait 90 minutes for my new group to turn up which wasn’t good, there was a hard sell on long sleeved vests and wet suits once I arrrived at the port which is not needed as the boats are under cover. Finally our guide gave us the hard sell on pictures and tips for him, the other guide and the captain which was way over the top and extremely uncomfortable which spoilt the tour.

Although expensive, it's an experience you cannot miss out on. To see these animals is an absolute privilege and moving experience. A fantastic day and one my kids and we will remember forever. A price worth paying...please do it while they are here..

The guide Nils was very knowledgeable but his manner was intimidating. He made me feel uncomfortable and questioned several times if I could swim fast and was a strong swimmer. Before getting to the harbour I had decided I wasn’t going to do the swim for fear of being shouted at by him because I couldn’t remember all his instructions. This proved to be true as other members of the group were shouted at for safety reasons. I know that this is very important and he needs to keep everyone safe.

Great overall experience, we are a family of five and we all enjoyed the day and swam with whale sharks. Suggested improvements: better food selection is needed, we have three teenage children, two of which didn't eat anything all day due to the poor choice of food. Too much constant upselling - T shirts, wet suit hire, GoPro video etc. For this price, the video should have been included.

Unvergessliche Begegnung mit den Walhaien. Nils der Guide hat klare Ansagen zur Sicherheit und zum Umweltschutz gemacht. Haben sehr schnell die Walhaie gefunden. Haben ebenfalls Manta Rochen und Meeresschildkröten auf der Tour gesehen. Beeindruckend. Die Tour zu dem Riff, war für uns etwas enttäuschend, da wir hier Ägypten gewohnt sind. Hätten wir also nicht gebraucht.

Ja en nee. Wij hadden niet door dat we zolang moesten varen en de zee was erg ruig. Boottocht was niet fijn. Ook de extra tax die we moesten betalen was ons niet verteld. Uiteindelijk de walvishaaien gezien en mee gezwommen, dit was een geweldige ervaring

The whale shark experience was phenomenal from start to finish, our guide, Alexandra was friendly and super helpful. I struggled with sea sickness and the 3 person team on the boat did everything to settle me and assist! Honestly ended up being one of the best days of my life! Only downside, there is no toilet stops throughout until you get back to shore (around 8/10 hour day) The TUI rep also did not make us aware of a discount when booking more than 1 trip meaning we lost our on over £60

Amazing day tour guides were extremely knowledgable and made you feel completely confident in what you were doing in the water ! We got to witness and swim with manta rays too ! Then went on to see wild dolphins and some sea turtles ! It was such an amazing day

We left the quayside with 6 foot swells on the sea "it`s at the upper edge of not going " said the guide! On route a woman on board needed the loo ..........she was lowered into the very ,very choppy sea screaming and crying ,her husband fell in trying to get her back out .At the shark site there were 21 boats fighting for space to launch people into the sea -I refused to get in the water as it was too dangerous ,no one got in! On the way back the boat struggled loosing engines 4 times.

The time with the Whale Sharks is not long enough. It only seems like one or two minutes and you were out of the sea again. The pictures / film were not very good either, some swimmers had film shots of 2, 3, 4, and 5 times loger than ours plus we could not properly identify ourselves in the shots. It also seemed to be a very big free for all at sea too. Many boats, 50 plus, all doing the same, getting out to the animals to view them - very very commercialised.

Es war ein ganz toller Tag! Das wichtigste -> wir haben sehr sehr viele Walhaie gesehen und konnten drei Mal ins Wasser hüpfen! Mir war nicht bewusst, dass bei jeder Tour ins Wasser mitgefilmt wird! Aber somit hatte man tolles Material als Erinnerung! :) auch für einen moderaten Preis! Toll wäre es, wenn man den Anzug und die Hafensteuer bei dem hohen Preis nicht noch zusätzlich zahlen müsste! Und auch der Snack hätte etwas satter machen können 😀 Aber frisch zubereitet! Aber tolle Erfahrung!

The most amazing experience with the whale sharks, really was a trip to remember, the staff were all amazing and really informative, kept us up to date with what was going on and we were really well fed. Our safety was always at the top of their list which was lovely. Was tricky getting in and out of the boat though, few slips/trips made but thankfully no one was hurt bad.

It’s a little too expensive. Once you pay the port taxes and gratuities, you’re talking nearly £200. If you asked a little more for the experience but included the port taxes in that price, it’d make it a lot more palatable.

The sharks were amazing, and the two by two approach used meant the guide could keep you with them as long as practical. Only real issue is the environmental fee must be paid in cash - cards are not accepted which adds an unnecessary complication.

The whole trip was very hard going the boat had little shade and you can’t wear suncream so we are both sunburnt! The waves were huge yet were expected to snorkel and felt very pressured into doing so even though we weren’t comfortable with doing so. Our snorkels were never checked and we weren’t comfortable expected to know how to adjust everything ourselves. We were not advised to put our very expensive camera away in the dry and they knew we had it out and that it would get wet! It is ruined.

The experience itself was great, but not enough care is given to protecting customers from the sun, given you’re not allowed to wear sunscreen. It was a cloudy day but I still got badly burnt. More protection is needed in the boat and providing of chemical free sunscreen. Being in pain for 3 days afterwards spoiled the experience.

Vroeg opstaan, en laat je niet misleiden door “4-8 uur”, want het is een echt volle dag - we waren bijna 12 uur weg. De busrit om anderen op te halen en te droppen is het meest vermoeiend, de walvishaaien zelf: WOW. Wat een ervaring! Lunch en verdere service perfect. Zorg voor zwem shirts met lange mouwen (zonnebrand mag echt niet), een hoed (goed vasthouden op de boot!) en cash voor tips. Wet suits kan je huren. Alejandro was een top gids. Een echte “once in a lifetime” experience.

Het is vroeg op staan maar meer dan waard. Je gaat naar een super mooi plekje waar je op de boot stapt. Gaat opzoek naar de Walvishaaien en wat zijn ze mooi. Je gaat per koppel met gids ter water. Neem extra cash mee voor een wetsuit te huren, dan hoef je niet verplicht een zwemvest aan en kan je veel beter met de walvishaai zwemmen en zien! + op de foto en video’s ziet het er ook veel mooier uit.

Todo estuvo genial, desde la explicación por parte de José Peñaloza recomendando el tour hasta el final de la excursión. Nuestro guía César nos explicó todo a la perfección acerca del tiburón ballena y la forma de nadar con ellos, mostrando su sonrisa y su humor en todo momento. La parada para hacer snorkel en el arrecife de coral y el ceviche en la playa de Isla Mujeres también impresionante. Recomendable para ir con niños, nuestra hija de 13 años quedó absolutamente maravillada.

Enjoyed the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guide. Felt in safe hands with the captain, Jimmy and Pepe and all took care of daughter and I when we were overcome with sea sickness (I haven't been sick on a boat in 20yrs but despite best efforts couldn't be helped). The whale shark discovery and swim felt rushed in parts but when swimming with wild animals not sure what else could be done. Snorkeling brilliant! Lunch not the best. Nobody on our boat had been asked about allergies/dietary needs.

Our guide was awesome. He even had sea sickness tablets and take these guys just encase. This was the best experience of our lives. So humbling, magical, peaceful and calming. So privileged to be in the company of these beautiful giants. My daughter was so scared and the guide was awesome held her hand the whole way. Die Informationen des Guide waren ausgezeichnet. Wir haben viel über Natur und Meer erfahren. Er war sehr Hilfsbereit und Freundlich, hat geholfen wo er konnte. Haben vor 6 Jahren diesen Ausflug schon einmal gemacht und deshalb wieder Ozean Tour entschieden, haben es nicht bereut. Schnorcheln am Riff ausgezeichnet. Die Betreuung durch die Mannschaft war ausgezeichnet, Essen und Trinken war sehr gut. Alles in allem ein gelungenes Erlebnis für das wir extra aus Deutschland angereist sind

A bit more support with the snorkel. I snorkelled around the resort but got in a right pickle snorkelling with the whale sharks, reducing the experience personally somewhat. The rest of the family were fine. The sea was quite tough and the boat very rocky with 5 of our party feeling nauseous and 3 being sick. Had we known we’d have used the acupressure bracelets as well as the ginger tea and sea sickness tablet. The price of videos for 5 was very high, considering we are a family. 68$ US.
