What to expect
Excitement meets adventure on this 4x4 jeep tour of Sal. You'll discover the island's wonders on a scenic drive taking in Palha Verde, Palmeira village and Pedra de Lume salt flats before finishing off with dinner at a beach-side restaurant. Luis, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘This experience really represents Sal in its entirety – history, cuisine, music and landscapes. It shows off our main highlights, informs about sustainability projects and finishes with the most splendid sunset in Cape Verde. And there's a tasty dinner with live music.'Your off-road experience begins with a drive to Palha Verde. We'll visit Milot Horticulture, where you'll discover the art of hydroponic farming and see how crops are grown without soil for sustainable food production in the islands. Next, we'll head to Palmeira to explore its earthy streets and see the colourful fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. Then there's a quick stop at Terra Boa to see if we can catch a recurring mirage that occurs on its sands.Once we've rumbled all the way to Pedra de Lume, you can indulge in a spa-like experience by floating on the salt lakes, known for their therapeutic properties. As the day comes to a close, we'll make our way to Ninho dos Piratas restaurant, where you'll be greeted with a welcome drink before enjoying a barbecue dinner accompanied by live music. Get ready to be entertained with a traditional dance show and experience the vibrant culture of Cape Verde.

The trip was great. We met new people and learned something about the island in how the hotels are stocked with food, island life and also a bit on the other islands of Cape Verde. When it came to time of the beach barbecue, I felt that it was a long time to spend there. Most likely from the length of the day. Overall, a great experience.

Die Tour war das beste Erlebnis des ganzen Urlaubes! Unser Guide Ronny war super sympathisch und hat uns viel Wissen über die Cap verde vermittelt. Das Essen war ein Traum und sogar besser als bei uns im Hotel und zusätzlich gab es noch Live Musik, Tänzer und eine Feuershow! Es war ein unvergesslicher Nachmittag/Abend. Gut war auch das die Gruppe nicht zu groß war ( wir waren 6 Leute, 2 hatten wohl kurzfristig abgesagt).

Illallisen voisi erottaa muista, jotka tulevat vain illalliselle. Meitä safarilaisia oli 6, odotimme muita ravintolassa ensin yli tunnin, saapumisen jälkeen tunnin, kun joivat alkumaljoja ja illallinen kesti kokonaisuudessaan meille retkeilijöille 4 tuntia. Osa safarilaisista oli kylmissään, ja kaikki olimme väsyneitä. Olisimme vain halunneet heti syödä ja palata hotellille. Pelkästään illalliseen tulijat olivat pukeutuneet - me shortseissa ja T-paidoissa, ja muutenkin olivat juhlatuulella.

Der Besuch der Hydrokultur Plantage war sehr spannend, schön dass TUI solche Projekte unterstützt. Die Fatamogana von Terra Boa sah bei Sonne anders aus als bei wolkigem Himmel, genauso die Saline. Das Floaten im Salzwasser war ein tolles Erlebnis. Palmeira ist ein idyllisches Fischerdorf. Die Lage des Restaurants O Ninho dos Piratas in Piratenschiffform ist traumhaft schön, direkt am Strand von Mudeira. Wenn die Sonne hinter dem Monte Leão im Meer versinkt, ist es sehr romantisch. Tolle Musik

Ein unglaublich toller Ausflug, vielleicht der beste, den ich je hatte. Man sieht viele besondere Dinge und Orte von Sal und hat das Gefühl, auch etwas ursprüngliches oder kulturelles von der Insel mitzubekommen. Das Highlight war auf jeden Fall dann das Dinner am Strand-unglaubliche Location mit Sonnenuntergang, leckerem Essen und einer tollen Tanzshow-mal raus aus dem All inclusive Hotelleben und was besonderes erleben!! Dazu ein wahnsinnig authentischer und netter Guide-absolut empfehlenswert

Fantastisk guide som inte bara berättade om de platser vi såg utan också mängder om Kap Verdes 10 öar, självständighet, politiska läge och samhällsfrågor. Plus så klart lite extra lovord om hur fotbollslaget från den lilla fiskebyn är mästare både på ön och i Kap Verdes önation :) Bra mat och fin underhållning under middagen. Helt klart värt pengarna och mer därtill!

Would have loved to have seen the lemon sharks as part of the tour and have less time at dinner. Dinner went on a little too long. But it was great and the fire breathing entertainment was fantastic

We had a wonderful time on this experience and our guide Clovs was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and also funny and thoughtful and we all learned so much that day. There was so much included and the highlight for us was the visit to and swim in the salt flats and the dinner and dancing at the restaurant at the end of the night - a fantastic experience and highly recommended!
