The Sal coastline is a perfect backdrop for a cruise – and this adults-only catamaran trip makes the very best use of it. Sailing leisurely through the azure seas between Palmeira and Monte Leão, you'll sunbathe, sip on cocktails and enjoy a stop for swimming too. Maria, one of our expert local guides, says, "the crew on board really make this experience stand out. Super professional yet always ready for fun, and talented at creating a stylish, celebratory and relaxed atmosphere for the cruise."Your day of relaxation kicks off with pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Palmeira, where you'll hop aboard a brand-new catamaran. Setting sail, you'll soon be watching the coastline glide by as your captain cruises along the island's west coast. All you need to do is pick the perfect spot to sit back and soak up some rays – and choose which drink you'd like first. The friendly and knowledgeable crew will be on hand to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the journey.Sounds like ultimate relaxation, right? On board, you'll be spoilt for choice with complimentary drinks and snacks, with local music to really get you in the holiday mood. As we approach our idyllic location near Monte Leão, your skipper will anchor the boat, allowing you to take a swim in open waters. After we've dropped anchor, you can also lounge on the nets above the shimmering water – the ideal place to bask in the warm Cape Verde sun. What is the itinerary for this experience? This experience is available as a morning or afternoon tour, so the itinerary timings change depending on which one you pick. Morning option: - 8:35am to 9:15am – pick-up from your hotel - 9:30am – arrival at Palmeira, where you'll take a dinghy to your boat - 10:00am – board your Catamaran, SODADE, and set sail - 11:30am to 12:15pm – scheduled swimming stop - 12:30pm – sail back to the harbour- 1:00pm – start the drive back to your hotel ----------Afternoon option: - 12:35pm to 1:15pm – pick-up from your hotel - 1:30pm – arrival at Palmeira, where you'll take a dinghy to your boat - 2:00pm – board your Catamaran, SODADE, and set sail - 3:30pm to 4:15pm – scheduled swimming stop - 4:30pm – sail back to the harbour- 5:00pm – start the drive back to your hotel Please note, the times and schedule may vary on the day

Boat trip had drinks and a snack (actually pretty good amount of food…sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps, salad, olives. Fruit etc). Saw dolphins and a turtle on the way. Snorkelling a bit of a disappointment as could only just see bottom of you tried, but water was actually a good temperature after the initial shock but mainly you saw floating weed! No fish seen. Return was music and dancing which was quite fun to watch and take part.

Très ********** ambiance mais le personnel ne parle pas ou peu le français. On aurait aimé s'arrêter dans un endroit ou l'on peux faire de la nage pour voir les poissons et pas à 8 m de fond Pas assez de gilets de sauvetage sur le petit bateau qui va jusqu'au catamaran donc on a dû attendre le retour du premier bateau pour avoir les gilets (perte de temps)

We don’t like the seating and thought it too crowded the seating was restricted and one in it was difficult to get out without interfering with all the other on the table the location we stopped at for snoring was rubbish with no visibility in the water and nothing to see except floating sea weed totally pointless stop really

Everyone was so helpful. Accommodated my disability by making sure I got on/off both the dingy and the catamaran. Nothing was too much trouble. The snacks were fab! Drinks selection was really good. Worth every penny. Was a great afternoon. Even got to see turtles and whales ☺️

Bus was running late on this tour and we thought it might have been cancelled. Good tour, well organised, happy staff, adequate food and drink but not enough outside seating. Saw flying fish being hunted by pod of bottlenose dolphins which was a highlight for us.

We enjoyed everything but a few people were saying they wish they were told about the little boats access to the catamaran and the shoe situation getting on and off it’s hard to wear flip flops and climb into boats for some people

A great couple of hours, the only thing for me is was too short, the staff were great. If you didn't get the first boat out to the catamaran then all the outside beds were gone, however a 45 mins to and from swimming point and one hour swimming, glad they put a swimming pool out on back of boat for non swimmers, it made the difference. The staff do dancing on the way back and encouraged us to take part which was great.

We really enjoyed it although one lady couldn’t get on the dinghy AND WAS UPSET so you need a disclaimer at the bottom of the booking saying NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY DUE TO THE STEP DOWN INTO THE DINGHY AND THE LADDER FOR THE TOILETS ONBOARD THE BOAT

Wir hatten zwei Touren mit TUI gebucht. Die erste war wirklich toll, die zweite eine Vollkatastrophe. Der Transport hat länger gedauert, als wir an Bord des Katamaran waren. Dann wurde man mit 70 Mann auf ein Boot gequetscht und bekam, wenn man nicht als erster auf dem Boot war keinen vernünftigen Platz. Insgesamt alles billig und rein profitorientierte Massenabfertigung. NIE WIEDER!!! Wir woanders auch schon mit dem Katamaran unterwegs und es war immer schön. Hier leider nicht :-(

Not much outside space so you spent most of it inside, I like to do a catamaran trip that is in the Sun to be fair that’s why most people go on a catamaran. The crew were amazing and they absolutely made the trip particularly on the way back where we had great fun and the party atmosphere was fantastic but to be honest I spent most of my time inside in the shade because having to go out on small dingers the first two dingers got all the outside space and the rest of us were just stuck inside

The boat staff were brilliant- the trip ended with dancing led by them and they were attentive overall. There wasn’t much to see with snorkels at the stop to swim but they made sure everyone was safe, offering lifejackets and kept an eye on everyone swimming. On the way back we saw dolphins and briefly a whale’s blow hole. Which was awesome. The downside was the amount of people crammed onto the catamaran. Every available spot was taken and people had to shuffle close for room.

If we had known how many were going to be on the boat wouldn't have booked. Would have been nice to be told the history of the rock. Was more about the alchol than the trip. Best bit was seeing the dolphins. Was not good the kids begging in your face when got back to the coach and rep standing back and not saying anything.

The catamaran trip was fantastic both relaxing & entertaining with drinks & snacks provided. Only a few people ventured into the sea at our stop because we had a very cold wind blowing across us & the sun spent most of its time behind the clouds. Make sure to take something to keep you warm if the sun goes in. The staff were very attentive, always on the go & even tried to take our attention away from the cold weather on the return journey by dancing for the entire journey.

Fabulous trip from start to finish, service was to the highest standard and your safety and satisfaction is paramount to the team. Not for people with mobility issues, due to having to use a dinghy to get to the catamaran. Food is snack food however is very tasty and plentiful, same with drinks. The crew put on dancing if you wish to join in, it’s great fun. Would not hesitate to recommend this experience.

We really enjoyed the trip. Turtles and flying fish were seen, and pointed out by the crew. afer swimming we were told to dry off and keep the 'wet' areas to a minimum, however we were seated at the front and needed to cross over the large beam, which ran from side to side and was curved and quite high, making it difficult to cross. It was very slippy and few people fell, including myself. Perhaps a non slip mat should be stuck onto the crossing area for safety.

the most wonderful staff - attenuative, caring and so full of energy. The entertainment was amazing!!!! Loved the calm sailing and watching everyone luxuriating in their own way. The snacks were nice but a bit more veg variety would be welcome.

I was a little disappointed in that most of the catamaran was under cover, meaning it got very cold as it was quite windy. We had also specifically asked the Tui rep if we should have lunch before pickup and he said no as food was provided but omitted to say it wasn't provided until 4 o'clock. However, the trip itself was fun, the staff friendly and drinks plentiful without people getting falling-over drunk.

What a great day!! We watched a shark jump out of the water while catching its fish supper, had a dance on the way back with the team who were warm and entertaining. We had great snacks and the drinks were generous!! A lovely chance to do some snorkelling and swimming off the boat when we stopped off of Mount Leao which was lovely, a great way to spend an afternoon!! If you get the chance do the afternoon and then spend the early evening on the dock drinking with the locals watching sunset

The pick up was on time with a journey of approximately 35 minutes from Santa Maria to Palmeira. Upon arrival we were all given life jackets then loaded into small boats from the quayside which took us over to the waiting catamaran. We set sail and took a steady mosey down the coast where we then anchored up for 45 minutes for people to swim. The unlimited drinks were included in the price with some people certainly making the most of that. Snacks also provided. The crew danced during the return
