The trip was supposed to be 8 hours which turned out to be 12 hours, it wasn’t the trip that we were planning, the rep said that we were to visit a cenote, (sink hole) but this never happened. We went out to sea on a small boat which you became wet up to the knees trying to board the boat, a pleasant but choppy sail to a calm sea for swimming & refreshments, then onto the island. Next was a boat ride to join a catamaran which everyone had to jump aboard twice, extremely frightening & dangerous.

The explanation from the Tui rep in resort did not match the trip. It took over 12 hours in total from collection in the morning to arriving back at the resort. We would not have booked if we would have had the correct information. The first part of the trip was ok to the island and lunch was good, but coming back was absolutely dangerous changing from boat to catamaran in the ocean twice. Trip back to resort was very uncomfortable in a small van. All in all the worst day of our holiday.

The trip on the catamaran was good, the swim was good but as soon as we got to the island, things went from bad to worse. We had to transfer fro. The catamaran to a speedboat, this was extreamly games for my disabled mum, we git tobthe island, there was sudden downpour of rain, no contingency plan for the rain. We was huddled in huts, getting soaking wet, the toilets overflowed, casuing a terrible smell, we was the last to get off the island, our guide disappeared.more things. Complaint been mad

Loved the outward cruise on the motor Maran. Drinks as we were paddling around in the shallows were good, however, snacks of cheese and ham sandwiches, Doritos and fruit skewers were very basic for what we paid. Trip back, not so great. Out of the two catamarans returning we got the rubbish deal. Not much shade which was not good for my fiancé as she is a recovering breast cancer patient. To compound that, a lack of seats meant we had to sit on a hard floor. Pity as the overall experience was

We paid for the Supreme experience and didn't get it. We were taken on the standard trip with 28 other people including a child. Please ensure your reps do not miss-sell this experience as it really was a disappointing as we specifically booked the supreme version of this trip to celebrate my big birthday. (We have now received compensation from Tui, but it doesn't take away our disappointment of the trip.)

When we arrived at Saona the weather turned poor & rained heavily for rest of the day. So we sat undercover for an hour+ before transferring to an open top speed boat for return journey. We got drenched and wife was sick. Other than that the staff, boats and journey out was fine. But Saona itself was very basic and even if the weather was nice I don't think it would have been worth the high cost (Plastic broken loungers; Average food; Terrible smell; and Seaweed on seabed). Tui site a poor place

Het blauwe water bij het strand is er niet zoals verteld. Wel zie je het op de boot en bij andere stukken strand. Er was verteld dat je met een kleine groep zou gaan, vond de groep best groot. Eten was oké, totdat ik in de avond ziek werd en ********** had opgelopen.

Het was een hele leuke excursie zelfs met minder goed weer. De bemanning was goed. De verzorging okay. Maar het was veel mooier (lees luxer) voorgesteld. Er werd vertelt dat het bijna een vip tour zou zijn met een kleine groep mensen op de boot 2 of 3 man ofzo. Op de bbq zouden langoestines zijn enzo. Daar hebben we ook naar betaald. Dit was gewoon een standaard trip met een mannetje van 30 of 40 op een boot. Dus het was leuk maar niet volgens afspraak.

Very expensive for what it was. Food on Saona wasn't great but ok. Rum was free flowing on the catamaran but water not offered. Only 1 bottle of water for 10 people at lunch. Snorkeling spot very close to start of trip so everyone declined it. Guide great.

We really enjoyed our experience on the soana trip. We felt really welcomed on the trip out on the catamaran. The guy was very attentive with drinks and snacks and even had a dance or two. Enjoyable experience and would highly recommend.

Uns hat die Hinfahrt mit dem Katamaran sehr gut gefallen. Unser Guide Dani, „El Presidente“, hat sich sehr um alle gekümmert, viel erzählt und kann sogar sehr gut deutsch. Die weiteren Mitarbeiter auf dem Katamaran waren ebenfalls super und haben zu einer tollen Stimmung beigetragen. Die Schnorchelstelle direkt zu Beginn war irgendwie komisch, es gab auch nicht sonderlich viel zu sehen. Außerdem hat es auf der Insel leider sehr gerochen - vermutlich Seegras/Strömung.

The guys on the boat transfer were excellent, especially on the way out. There were a couple of people on our trip who had mobility issues and they were very attentive, making sure they were looked after. Great day out, especially enjoyed seeing dolphins and the starfish.

We were told to be ready to be picked up at 7.25 but then had to wait over an hour at the harbour for the guide and the rest of the party to arrive. We could have had breakfast. The toilets on the island were disgusting and constituted a health hazard. No water a d very little hand sanitizer Also it would have been useful to know that we would have to wade through the sea to access the boat On the way the back the catamaran did not have enough seating so some people had to sit on the floor

Het was enorm schandalig hoe wij behandeld zijn van het begin tot het einde. Wij voelde ons juist 5 jaar oud. Geen uitleg over de trip en zeker nog niet over te snorkelen. Wij kenden dat masker niet en hebben het aan ander mensen moeten vragen. Het eiland was enorm schandalig. Het stonk daar enorm. Het sanitair was er totaal onaanvaardbaar. Het eten was schandalig. Je maakt een uitstap dat op een droom moest lijken en het was een ramp. Het strand was vuil geen blauw water niets. De gids was rot!

The guide Danny was brilliant,made us laugh from start to finish. The first stop on the catamaran was beautiful.An hour swimming and soaking up the sun. When we arrived at Saona I was very disappointed.The beach hadn't been cleared of seaweed and there was a foul smell drifting in the air. Then we had a meal which was pretty average. After finishing this myself and my partner required the toilet.None of these would flush and no water to wash your hands! Value for money very disappointing.

Die Mitarbeiter waren nett und haben gute Stimmung verbreitet, vor Allem bei der Rückfahrt auf dem Katamaran mit Musik in angenehmer Lautstärke. Von der Organisation lief es reibungslos ab, aber was uns zuvor versprochen wurde, wurde nicht erfüllt. Der private Strand war ohne Paparazzis und Leute, die etwas verkaufen wollen, zum Baden lud der Strand aber nicht ein. Es stank und der Strand und das Wasser waren voller Algen. Das Schnorcheln war zu kurz und war direkt am Hafen. Das Essen war okay.

My friend recently took a similar cruise, which was £30 cheaper per person, and their package included an on-island tour, offering significantly better value. With TUI, we cruised around the island! The private beach area was disappointing. It was advertised as a secluded spot but was merely a section of the main beach with sun loungers, not all of which offered shade from the sun for two hours. There was no free bar. Just an offer of a drink. No MamaJuana! I would not recommend this cruise.

Our tour guide, Bambi, was 10/10 the only good thing about our trip. Saona beach was a massive disappointment, it’s not white sandy beaches as promised, it’s covered in seaweed and not the picturesque destination we were promised. After a 6hr journey, this was a massive let down. ‘Lunch’ is very very basic, dry food. Would not do this activity ever again, huge disappointment from TUI, massively overpriced.

notre excursion d'hier a été une déception à part la piscine naturelle, nous avons payé le prix de 116€ par personne alors que sur le site l'excursion est à 68€ car c'est l'excursion basique que nous avons eu, arrivé sur l'île de saona le déluge nous avons pas pu nous baigner du aux algues, quasiment pas de transat à l'ombre et les toilettes non fonctionnel (très très sale). Vraiment déçu de notre expérience avec vous.

private....beach, there was not enough room for the people on our boat to eat together because of people from other boats, stopped at the natural pool in the sea but my wife could not leave the boat because it was too deep as he moored the boat out to far, if you don't like rum there's only coke tot drink. food was sub-standard. we had a better day last year here buying it from a beach vendor and it wascheaper.. Tui need to really ********** what they are selling as a better experience.

Sabrina - catamaran was an excellent service, captain was engaging, food was snack and drinks, presented and well stocked. Great time! Unfortunately as we arrived at the island the rain started and never stopped, we sheltered with lunch in the huts, but we became the lunch for the mosquitoes!!! The island its self is well maintained and very pretty. But advertised as secluded part of the island. This was not as there was another 4 groups there at that part of the island at the time…!!

Geboekt als “VIP” voor €151 p.p maar leek meer op de €69-trip. Beloftes niet nagekomen: geen kreeft, geen onbeperkte drank maar vooral alcohol. pina colada was niet vers en ingrediënten uit blik. Bandje voor nationaal park kregen we wel, maar het park niet bezocht. Enkel een korte stop voor zeesterren spotten en verder uren zonnen met een magere lunch. Geen waar voor je geld; personeel vraagt tips maar werken ongeïnteresseerd.

Wij vonden de reisleider ( Castro ) erg plezierig, grappig en voorzag ons van goede en nuttige informatie, met een grappige invalshoek, ook de bemanning van de diverse boten waren zeer goed in hun service en de bemanning van de catamaran was ook nog eens heel leuk entertainend , hiervoor geven wij dus de gehele reisleiding een dikke 10 chapeau .dit mag echt verder verteld worden, ook mag dit wel worden teruggekoppeld worden naar de jongens.

The guide was rude and had little to no interaction with the guests, almost like he did not want to be there. Boats were overcrowded and unsafe, the catamaran toilet was unhygienic and unsafe with no seats for elderly or disabled passengers, no value for money. Concerns that tour guide allowed another tout with passengers that were not Tui customers and cash wash exchanged .. this is advertised as luxery it was not

Absolutely loved every minute of it. The speed boat team and the catamaran team were amazing. Johnny our guide was great too. Telling us about the journey and island and history. We learned a lot from him. Beautiful beach food on the beach was ok. Not great but did what we needed. Overall a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

The speed boat was over crowded to the point of not being safe. The courier picked up extra passengers en route and was paid as they boarded. I suspect the TUI bookings left space that they filled with non TUI passengers, they may have been locals. The stop at the sandbanks was difficult to get off as the steps were to short The food was mediocre at best and not refrigerated. No safety briefings on the boats and the catamaran ride back had a 4 year old child running about with no life jacket.

It might be useful to advise customers to take shoes for use in the water as there are a lot of sharp rocks, rough edges when strolling out to sea. The place was beautiful. The loungers could have been a better quality rather than just hard plastic,

We enjoyed it start to finish, all staff involved were amazing, we were kept informed all the way along about what we were doing. Lots of toilet stop, plenty of food. Lovely food and drinks. Our tour guide Bamby was so lovely he really looked after us. A young woman was taken ill on the first stop. He was amazing and informative. Fortunately she was fine and managed to do the rest of the trip. He was so caring and supportive. Also the local police were really good too. On it straight away.

A very long day for 3 hours on a packed beech. Sandwiches on the catermeran over to Saona were horrible but drink of rum & coke was plentiful. Staff on the catermeran were great. Staff on the island were friendly and great food but too many visitors at one time. On the way back we gad a speedboat and they ensured we all wore life jackets and then stopped at some shallow waters where starfish swam. Drinks provided to swimmers only. Out for 12 hours in total, don't feel it was value for the price.

Wonderful experience, beautiful Island and great staff, Mama Pollijto was warm, friendly and extremely informative, Catamaran trip back was excellent. Only downside was the bus journey as seats were quite narrow so a little uncomfortable but that did not distract from the best day.

Deze uitstap was gewoonweg fantastisch! Hele leuke begeleiders aan wie je alles kon vragen. Op de catamaran kregen we drankjes en eten en werd er constant muziek gespeeld. Voor de catamarantocht mochten we snorkelen, wat ik top vond, enkel jammer dat dit maar een halfuurtje was. Voor de rest kregen we op Saona island ook eten en drinken, en kregen we 3 uur de tijd om te zwemmen, zonnen, foto's te trekken, etc. Hele grote aanrader!!!!

After an hour on the island, the drinks were warm. Beer ran out. No cold drinking water available, only warm drinks. No ice available for our drinks. We were sold this trip as ‘all inclusive drinks’ - which we did not get. Food was very good. Not being able to get cold drinking water is unacceptable

The staff on the boats were very good, serving snacks & drinks. On the island the food was good. Drinks were all good for the first hour. Then drinks were being served warm. No ice was offered to us for our drinks. 3 hours on a tropical island without being able to get cold drinking water is unacceptable, especially as it was sold to us as an ‘all inclusive’ drinks package

The trip was good,was a very long day 12hrs food and drink provided was good overall a great day had. My only issue was the cost several people from my hotel went and we were all charged differant amounts I was not told how much I was paying until after payment was taken and I checked my account and it was £67 more than was advertised some people were charged another £60 on top again £260 for a day trip was very expensive and this stopped us booking any other trips

The food could a little better. Plus providing bottled water not just a small cup. The boat ride was excellent as was the snorkelling. Perhaps a snorkelling stop on the way back wouldn't go a miss.

We opted for the enhanced Soana Island trip, which included the "private" beach and the return catamaran. Our guide "Obama" was very engaging and worked hard all trip to ensure all guests had a good experience. He was entertaining, had great local knowledge. You need decent mobility to complete the boat transfers. We brought a change of clothes which weren't needed. Be warned - Prices vary. The App has different prices to the Rep on site

Guide konnte nur ganz schlechtes Deutsch, haben etwas Anderes erwartet, trotzdem hat er sich bemüht. Wir haben vor 20 Jahren gleiche Tour gemacht, war da besser. Vom Privatstrand haben wir auch etwas Besseres erhofft, erst mussten wir lange auf das Mittagessen warten und am Ende war es doch eine Massenabfertigung. Highlight war das Schnorcheln und der Stopp auf der Sandbank. Die Fahrt mit dem Katamaran war in Ordnung, mit dem Schnellboot ist es gewöhnungsbedürftig ständig Wasser von der Seite.

It was a great day. It takes a few hours to get to the island, but it's worth it. Your in paradise for about 3 hours, you get a nice bbq lunch ,then off you go to another place where you'll see starfish. The boat guy gets in the sea with you and serves drinks. All in all good value for money and a big thank you to the staff that looked after us.

Voor 2e x deze excursie gemaakt ( reeds 12 jaar eerder ) en eintoch iets verandert. De speedboot was nog hetzelfde als ik de terugtocht met de catamaran en het feestje er op echter was er vroeger een tochtvrije een natuurgebied per boot wat nu, vanwege de drukte en de noodzakelijke rust in het gebied Net meer gedaan werd volgens de gids . Bemanningen van beide schepen waren goed en professioneel en waar nodig werden er de juiste menten gekozen voor ontspanning en informatie en interactie.

Beautiful scenery the sea and beach were amazing, the only negative for me and my family was the the sexual innuendo made from the tour guide Danny in the morning on the coach journey when I was asked by him if my wife likes meat wink wink wink no does she really like meat if you know what he means, this was in front of my wife and young children I told him don’t talk like that in front of my wife and children, and he proceeded the do the same gag to every woman! Unacceptable! Food was poor!
