What to expect
There are lots of theories surrounding origin and age of the Pyramids of Güímar, which you'll get to see up close when you visit. Choose from different entry options, which can include the Poison Garden, exhibitions, museum, auditorium and outdoor routes.Founded by Norwegian researcher Thor Heyerdahl, the Pyramids of Güímar and Botanical Garden are a sight to behold. Six pyramids, made entirely of lava stone, still stand among exhibits and gardens. There are different ticket options to choose from, depending on your interests, including ‘Pyramids and much more' where you'll see the pyramids, museum, auditorium, outdoor routes and sustainable garden.Meanwhile the ‘Plants and poisons' ticket includes entry to the Canary Islands' only poisonous plant garden, and the ‘Colonizing Polynesia' ticket also gives you access to the exhibition on Easter Island. If you'd like to take it all in, then you can opt for the ‘Premium experience' with entry to all the exhibits and gardens.

Auf jeden Fall hinfahren - es gibt so viel mehr zu sehen, als man denkt. Und …. genug Zeit mitbringen. Wir hatten das „Premium Ticket“ und kamen erst am späten Nachmittag dorthin und konnten in zwei Stunden leider nur einen Bruchteil der Ausstellung sehen. Sehr interessant und schön gemacht.

We booked the tickets via the rep but could have booked at the site. Took local busses to Guimar but it was a steep long walk to the site, a taxi from the bus station is definitely recommend. Something different to visit on a tenerife trip.
