Esta manhã sobre duas rodas e dois pés é uma ótima maneira de explorar o sul do Sal. Sua aventura segue uma rota cênica das salinas de Santa Maria até Kite Beach e Serra Negra. Você não só verá algumas das melhores partes da ilha, mas também poderá esticar as pernas. A diversão começa nas salinas de Santa Maria depois que você receber sua bicicleta e capacete. Você pedalará até o famoso clube de praia Mitu & Djo em Kite Beach. Administrado por campeões de kitesurf, essa extensão de areia recebe esse nome por causa das multidões de kitesurfistas que se aglomeram aqui. Você não vai pegar ar, mas terá alguns minutos para recuperar o fôlego e assistir aos profissionais surfando nas ondas antes de continuar para Serra Negra. Deve levar cerca de uma hora sobre duas rodas antes de você ler o ponto mais alto de Sal – a pouco mais de 100 metros. Daqui em diante, dois pés são melhores do que duas rodas, e a etapa final até o cume é a pé. As vistas do topo terão valido o esforço.

Very strong headwinds for cycling, bikes adequate but not great. The cycle back with tail winds was easy! Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, we learned about Cape Verde’s tourist industry and about the need (as is everywhere) to find a balance between tourism and conservation. The view from the hilltop is beautiful and totally worth the short steep climb. Take water and sun protection and maybe a snack .

Great to experience the protected areas of Sal close up. Great scenery and wonderful views at top of hill at the end of the walk. You need a reasonable level of fitness. Its about a 10km cycle and then 20 min walk up the hill at the end. On the way out you are cycling into north East trade winds which never stop. But much easier on the way back with the wind behind you! Guide was helpful and thoughtful sharing local insights into the environment and culture.

Inga cykelhjälmar vilket är dumt om man vill ha det. Tydligen förekommer missförstånd ang att det är elcykel, vilket det inte är. Jag tyckte att det var en härlig upplevelse och guiden var väldigt bra. Topp för min del.

This is a great 3 hour excursion. Includes a little tour of Santa Maria about local life before a ride to kite beach and a walk up the mountain by the zip line. I enjoyed seeing the area without causing the environmental issues that quad bikes bring. Great knowledgeable local guide. And great to be active on bikes and walking

Het was een leuke rit. Gids maakte ook tijd voor stops en om over dingen te vertellen. Ik had de luxe dat ik ern privétour had. Hoewel het een pittige tocht was (vooral heen met wind tegen en bergop) was het toch ook een ontspannen tour. Goed om in de omschrijving te benadrukken dat je een goede conditie moet hebben.

Hello, We had a lovely time cycling around and having a conversation with our guide - Danish. Got to know a lot of interesting facts about nature of Sal and also what impact the tourist industry had on the nature. Never imagined that something like going on quad-bikes in the dunes would have a devastating effect on the lizards, turtles and so on. Also we really enjoyed going up to the top of a mountain to have good look around the surroundings. Very recommended.

Sehr gute Organisation. Wenig Verkehr. Keine weiteren Teilnehmer. Fahrradfahren scheint zu anstrengend. Fahrräder in ausreichend gutem Zustand. Sättel sind gewöhnungsdürftig und entsprachen nicht meinen Vorstellungen als Vielfahrer.

Really enjoyable morning and got to see a few different sites. The guide (Frances) was excellent. Found out more about Santa Maria, the salt mines and a lot of info about the wildlife around Serra Negra. Cycling not too fast, although is suited to people confident on bikes. Hiking was a short sharp blast and some level of fitness recommended. After being a bit unsure about booking the trip, i would highly recommend it.

Carlos was a great guide. The tour and local information was great. Getting to see Santa Maria, the salt flats, kite beach and the views from the walk up the hill were well worth it! You need to be reasonably fit for this one but if you are and want a great morning out I would definitely recommend

Bei der fast 3 Stunden langen Tour wurden immer wieder Halt in und im Santa Maria gemacht, bevor es mal ein paar Minuten ins Gelände ging. Nach 4 Haltestellen mit genügend Möglichkeiten auf Fotos ging es dann einmal auf knapp 200m und wieder runter. Auf dem Berg war nichts los und auch der sechste und letzte Halt war spontan an der Bucht, aber trotzdem nicht uninteressant. Danach ging es fast 1 Stunde wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Die Tour ist einfach, aber genügend trinken ist zu empfehlen!

Der Vormittag war ein tolles Erlebnis! Tolle Tour mit einem weiteren Paar und mit einem erfahrenen Guide, der viel über die Geschichte und das Land berichten konnte. Gefehlt haben definitiv die Fahrradhelme, die es offensichtlich gar nicht gibt. Also bitte aus der Beschreibung des Angebots streichen. Wichtiger ist von daher unbedingt Sonnenschutz für den Kopf!!! ALLEN tui Mitarbeitern vor Ort ist dieses Angebot völlig unbekannt und können keine Fragen beantworten. Nachbesserung ist nötig.

Excellent excursion-the guy really knew a lot about Cabo Verde. The tour was a good combination of exercise and sightseeing. Climbing up to the top of the zip wire was quite challenging, but the reward was the spectacular view. ??

A really nice way to see the town and the desert. The salt field was great too. The trip was much harder than I thought. The bicycles are not meant for offroad and wind was blowing hard. No helmets available and the bicycle broke many times during the trip. The trip was about 15 km. But I really enjoyed and the view from the hill was super.

Très agréable moment, très venteux ce jour là, il faut peut-être mettre l'accent sur la difficulté de la montée "hike" vers la zipline, nous pensons que cela ne convient pas à tous les ages. Pas de casque proposé, guide très sympathique et expliquant bien les sites visités.

Great guide, with a lot of knowledge. Very underestimated tour, it was a fun adventure to bike to the place where we hiked, Serra Negra. It was so beautiful! The bike ride was a bit windy, but it was worth it! Such a beautiful view and it was nice to experience the sites first hand and not from a car. Bring lots of water and this will be a good and relaxing exercise for a great reward. Lots of places on the way where we stopped to rest and learn about the different spots.

Mit dem Fahrrad oder ein wenig zu Fuß ist eine gute Sache. Man kommt in Bewegung und schadet der fragilen Natur auf Sal nicht. Die Tour ist nicht schwierig, im Hochsommer würden wir sie allerdings nicht machen. Im November aber bestens. Eine Wasserflasche und vernünftige Schuhe sind Pflicht. Generell sollten solche Angebote ausgebaut werden.

Disappointed that the toilet had not been checked as soon as the airplane took off i went to use the loo and there was no tissue. Overall the experience could have better particularly when landing in the Uk. The flight was not smooth.

A great morning cycling through parts of Santa Maria, the salt mines and kite beach learning about life on Santa Maria and the important conservation work. Our guides Francisco and Diana , two marine biologists, were very knowledgeable and great fun! We walked to top of Sierra Negra for great views. Bikes were not e bikes but comfy and easy to use - terrain not always smooth but easily manageable. Got to understand more about Sal with a good workout. A really enjoyable morning.

Some customers may want a helmet, as a group of 4 we weren’t bothered. An element of fitness would be required and maybe should be mentioned. Excellent informative guide (Frances) nothing too much trouble well paced and awareness of our safety

Amazing guide who was very knowledgeable about the island, it's culture and history. He was very patient and stopped regularly during the hike. What an amazing view from the top. it was well worth the climb! The bikes are very comfortable and easy to cycle on along the town and countryside/beaches. A fantastic morning trip!
