What to expect
Loule boasts a rich medieval history, and it has always been a hugely important commercial centre for the Algarve region. Explore its open-air market stalls and its thriving indoor farmer's market on this half-day excursion. Although Loule is the Algarve's second-biggest city, its markets are conveniently located within striking distance of one another. Wander the narrow lanes of open-air “gypsy” market, where locally produced ceramics and all manner of other items weigh down the plentiful stalls. This is the prime territory for picking up some great souvenirs at a bargain price.You might want to cool down by taking things indoors to the beautifully restored farmers' market. Savour the wonderful sights and smells of the plentiful produce, which has been transported that very morning from the surrounding countryside and the clear Atlantic Ocean. And if there's time left over, delve into the narrow side streets that surround the markets. Here, you'll stumble across Loule's little handicraft shops, stuffed with hand-worked copper pans and wicker baskets

We hadden verkeerd gedacht dat we bij Vila Petra opgehaald zouden worden, maar we hadden ergens anders moeten opstappen. De chauffeur ging er ook niet achteraan en is zonder ons weggereden. Weggegooid geld en we baalden enorm

I payed £52 and I was not clearly informed that the transport would not pick us up from our hotel the Tivoli in Lagos. We waited for more than half an hour and never even got a phone call despite it turning out later that the pick up was 6 minutes away from us. I have been on several holidays with TUI costing several thousands of pounds. It makes me wonder if I’ll book again when I’m told that despite the circumstances I cannot get a refund. This is actually bad business.

Expensive for what was essentially a coach ride to Loulé. Tour guide didn’t really do very much except to point out the location of the markets and to give us “free time”. The flea market was like your basic UK market on open ground with a few stalls. Not worth visiting in my opinion. The market in the main part of town much nicer. Lots of stalls selling produce and some with dried fruits, spices, honey etc. Go to Loule, it’s worth a visit, but look to getting an Uber, may be cheaper.

Long transfert aller retour. Suggestion : les premiers hôtels devraient être les premiers retours. J’ai perdu presque 2 h de mon temps aller-retour. Guide inexistant, presque pas entendu le son de sa voix. Marché gitan inutile car aucun artisanat. Par contre, Loulé vaut le détour.

De markten waren erg leuk,ook de markt met ambachten. Misschien een tip om de ticket 5,00 te verhogen als je logeert in Cerro mar garden,want zo duur is het om met de taxi naar de opstapplaats .De bus had airco dat was ook fijn.

3h de visite nous ont permis de découvrir le marché gitan (peu d'intérêt), le centre historique, les halles et le marché des producteurs locaux, les cafés et commerces. Nous avons eu le temps de nous poser dans un bar/pâtisserie (salon de thé avec beaucoup de touristes) et dans un bistrot de quartier, avec une clientèle locale. Le guide nous a parlé de l'importance de la ville dans l'histoire, de l'économie locale, de la différence côte et campagne.

Gypsy market poor quality and not worth visiting, Drop off and pick up spot needed to be in central square - lot of unnecessary walking. Artisan market was lovely and worth visiting. Fruit and veg market not a must unless self catering. shops were good quality and had some lovely things to buy but you always had your eye on the clock! Bus journey was not comfortable - very bumpy ride and I had a dreadful headache by the time we got there and then again on return. Would not reccomend.

Our Guide and Coach Driver were brilliant. Was disappointed in the size of the market, thought it would be bigger with more choice especially with the indoor market, wasn't much of a selection of stalls. The Gypsy market was a waste of time but the toilets were very clean there.

Personnels, animateurs très accueillant, hôtel très propre . 1re Salle à manger très bruyante musique pas nécessaire .je vous conseil la 2ieme avec terrasse. Depuis que nous voyageons, c’est la première fois que je vois des Anglais avec un manque d’éducation (parle fort. prennent les chaises pour mettre leurs pieds et les enfants crient et jouent à toute heure dans le couloir, les parents à côté… OK l’hôtel est familial mais il y a des limites ,de la politesse et de la courtoisie .

Its lovely to go to both markets.picked up a few little bit like cork postcards, a belt, a cork note pad and a leather wallet.then walked to the food market. Just seeing all the different fish and the size of the fruit and vegetables. We hot some fruit and cake. Totally enjoyable morning

The Gypsy Market wasn’t very good. Also you should make people aware that it is quite a walk as people with mobility issues cannot walk that far so should be advised at the time of booking as my mum couldn’t make it to the market as it was too far for her to walk nor could my daughter who has Mobility issues as well. Also the fact that we waited 40mins on a hot coach while the guide ran around trying to find 2missing people that didn’t turn up on time for the return pick up:

It was a very expensive trip. Loule itself is lovely but it cost us way too much and alot of time was wasted picking up people. We could have got a taxi for less money and the journey wouldn't have taken so long either

Good trip, really lovely place and enjoyed day. The guide could have been more informative in the coach journey to Loule, also there were a lot of pick up/drop off points so took a long time to get there/back.
