What to expect

If you want to explore Iceland's capital and see the wildlife that surrounds it, this boat tour is perfect for you! You'll take to the seas and get up-close and personal with whales, dolphins, puffins and more while your guide answers all your questions about wildlife and Reykjavík itself. The first stop on this tour will be to an island that is close to the harbour where you'll get to see puffins in their natural habitat. Then you'll head out further to begin the search for whales and dolphins before returning to Reykjavík and admiring the city views from the water. You'll get a whole new perspective of the Sólfarið viking ship sculpture and mesmerising Harpa Concert Hall.

What to remember

This tour has a 2 passenger minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be able to reschedule or receive a full-refund

You must be able to stand in your seat (minimum height of 145cm or 4ft 9in) and fit into one of the overalls to participate (maximum size available 3XL)

This tour may not be suitable for seniors (over 65 years old), pregnant women or those with a history of heart or back problems

Participants will need to sign a waiver upon arrival in order to join the tour

Please arrive at the Old Harbour at least 30 minutes before the scheduled starting time

If you don't se any whales or dolphins on the tour, you'll be offered a complimentary ticket that is valid for 2 years

Excellent

We had a great time! The guides went above and beyond as firstly we arrived early hoping to join the earlier tour which luckily there were space so we was able to do and at the 2 hour mark we were meant to head back but unfortunately hadn't seen any whales. They then had a call to say whales had been spotted and so we stayed out an hour longer and had a great time watching the whales!
