What to expect
Visit the legendary city of Venice with an expert guide. Your journey will start from the famous St Mark's Square, where your guide will tell you how Venice built a mercantile empire that once spanned the Mediterranean. You will then visit St Mark's Basilica, with its famous mosaics and treasures. Here, you'll have special access to the terrace, from where you can see the famous horses stolen from Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade, as well as amazing views over St Mark's Square and the city.Next, it's off to the Doge's Palace, where you'll have skip-the-line access. You'll get to visit the Doge's flats and the Hall of the Great Council, where the fate of the state was decided. See the beautiful frescoes by Veronese and Tintoretto, the Armoury, and the new prisons, where you'll learn about the lives of the prisoners.Finally, you will cross the Bridge of Sighs, discovering the melancholic side behind this romantic symbol.

Due to the religious nature of the Basilica, all individuals, regardless of gender, must cover their shoulders and knees. A scarf or shawl is acceptable. The local operator cannot be held responsible for those denied entry
Exclusive Early Entry to Doge's Palace is only possible with the 8:00 am booking time
If access to the terrace at St. Mark's Basilica is unavailable due to limited ticket availability, access to the Pala d'Oro (Golden Altar) will be offered instead. This adjustment ensures you avoid long queues during peak travel seasons and still enjoy the basilica’s most treasured highlights
If the local municipality restricts access due to high tide and there are no walkways available, the guide will modify the itinerary to include alternate dry paths whenever possible
No refund will be provided if high tide prevents certain parts of the tour, but adjustments to the route will be made for your safety and comfort
If access is restricted due to private events inside St. Mark's Basilica and/or Doge's Palace, the local operator cannot be held responsible, and no refund will be issued
All guests must supply their full name that matches a valid ID at the time of the booking. Should you fail to provide these, your reservation will be cancelled. Please note that a photo ID is required to visit the St. Mark's Basilica. Name changes are not permitted
St. Mark’s Basilica can be subject to closures due to particular liturgical celebrations, especially during major religious holidays such as Easter or Christmas. In the event that the Basilica is closed, explanations will be provided from the outside

This tour included access to the balcony overlooking St Mark’s Square and the chance to go thru the Bridge of Sighs into the prison. As well as skip the queue tickets for the Basilica and the Doge’s Palace our guide Tulia was so inane fed us information for the whole 3 hours the tour lasted.

This was a great tour and made much better by having access to the Doge's Palace an hour before official opening. The guide, Guiliano, was excellent. Great knowledge with clear explanation and some humour. Really worthwhile. Can't overstate how much we enjoyed this.
