What to expect
Discover the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Nile onboard a traditional Egyptian wooden boat on this six-hour tour with an Egyptologist.Starting from meeting your guide, you'll drive to Luxor West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings. You'll learn why it was once called the “Gates of the Kings” or the “Place of Truth” and the mighty kings who once lay there in stone sarcophagus, awaiting immortality, including Tutankhamun. Then, you'll explore the temple of Hatshepsut, rising out of the desert and hear how, in 1876, the greatest mummy find in history was made. Next, before crossing the River Nile to Luxor East Bank, you’ll stop off at two 60-foot stone statues that have stood for more than 3,000 years. You'll then relax onboard the felucca for an hour sailing along the Nile, observing Luxor City.

Our tour giude, Magda, demonstrated an exceptional passion for her job and this was reflected in the knowledge she imparted to us. She was engaging from the very beginning and she brought us along on a fantastic tour through history. The whole tour was a very calm and enjoyable experience. We were sorry the tour had to end and would highly recommend Magda to any person looking for an exceptional Guide.

I didn’t like going to the alabaster workshop as I was pressured to buy from the shop. The Valley of the kings was great as was Hatshepsuts temple, but the Colossai were not impressive.

This was a fantastic trip with a great guide Mohammad , although the Valley of the Kings was very busy we still got to see some amazing tombs. The only fly in the ointment was the trip to the alabaster workshop , we felt pressured to buy. I would ask your guide to avoid it if possible.

I had read reviews that mentioned customers had been disappointed that there was no felucca cruise. Our guide also wasn't aware that this was included so I suggest this is always clarified at the start. Our excellent guide Mohamed tailored the programme to our wishes so we skipped the alabaster workshop visit and enjoyed the felucca trip instead. He expertly navigated us through the crowds at the Valley of the Kings and provided an informative and entertaining narrative. Thank you Mohamed! :)

The trip was well organised with a good, well read guide. However, we did not have a felucca ride as expected. The details provided to us when I booked, did clearly say the felucca ride was included. I would have made a complaint immediately but had no WiFi available to me.

Very enjoyable and interesting trip. The felucca cruise was the only disappointment due to the lack of wind and it would have been better simply to cross the river by boat.

Ikram our guide was first class and explained everything that we need to know on the way, so we could understand what we were looking at when we got to Valley of the Kings etc. the boat ride was again really good.. would fully recommend at this tour.. the mini bus driver was great as well literally door to door at all of the sights.
