With some of the highlights of Kos wrapped up in one day out, this adults-only tour showcases the variety of the island. Together with your guide you'll explore Kos town, the Asclepeion ancient site and the village of Zia. A visit to a wine factory and a viewpoint round off the day. Sophia, one of our expert local guides, says "the Asclepeion of Kos was dedicated to Asclepius, the Greek god of healing and medicine, and it was known as a healing sanctuary in ancient times. The peaceful surroundings and the extensive gardens were soothing for patients."Start off with a guided visit to Kos town and its eye-catching harbour with bobbing boats lined up. Next, step back in time at ancient Asclepeion, which remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. Here, you'll have free time to explore and imagine Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, undergoing his medical education at the Asclepeion. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and studied how to treat disease. You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. After lunch in a typical restaurant, it's on to taste local wine at a wine factory, and honey in a honey factory. Then, at the end of the excursion, you have the chance to capture amazing photos at Kefalos village at the south part of the island. What is the itinerary for this experience? Ein Tagesausflug mit vielen Erlebnissen und absolut das Geld wert. An manchen Orten hätte man vielleicht gerne ein klein wenig mehr Zeit gehabt. Die Technik der Tablets im Asklepeion ist noch ausbaufähig, so sind sie nett aber nicht unbedingt notwendig.

Everything felt a little rushed , the Kos town trip could have been omitted to allow more time for the other stops, the lunch seemed very rushed leaving little time for a leisurely lunch . The achephellion was good the guide was very knowledgable! The wine visit was ok we had been there the day before but still learned something new ,the honey factory which I was particularly interested in ( as I am a beekeeper) was very rushed with a very short demonstration on bee keeping to move to buying .

Es war sehr angenehm Frau Doris hat sehr sehr gut erzählt und erklärt haben von der Kultur und Kos allgemein vieles erlebt die verschiedenen Aufenthalte waren nur ein bisschen kurz das schade war aber wie gesagt wir hatten einen sehr tollen Tag.👍🏻

Outstanding guide, brilliant knowledge and extremely articulate. One suggestion, more time in Kos Town and skip the rushed, over populated, meaningless visit to the honey production and the last trip to the bay for views which is now obstructed by a large hotel.

Trip content and guide good. However wewere to be picked up at the end of the one hundred yard hotel drive and as there was a torrential storm, the coach was 15 minutes late there and no bus shelter we were like drowned rats. We could see the coach standing at the adjacent hotel waiting for some who had forgotten his camera. The driver could see us getting soaked as o why didn't he come along and pick us up and return for the clown who had left his camera. A bit of common sense needed.

Das komplette Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es wurde versucht ,jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Das Personal hier ist sehr fleißig. Danke dafür. Der Strand hat uns nicht so gut gefallen durch die vielen Steine am Ufer die man überqueren musste um ins Meer zu gelangen. Aber die Quälereien an den Füßen wurde dann mit herrlichem türkisfarbenen schon warmen Wasser belohnt Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub

Lovely hotel, great facilities including number of swimming pools with sun beds, SPA team ready to help to relax! lovely rooms, all place very clean and well maintained. Staff attentive, polite and very helpful. Good choice of food - fresh, a little bit repetitive, didnt notice fresh juices. Hotel very well equipped for families with children and entertainment mainly aimed for that group of guests with great selection and running all day till late. 10 min walk to lovely town- a must to visit.

Paid for a TUI excursion which didn't go through due to a poor communication system on the day. Now have to wait 30 days to get a refund after being informed it would take 1 day, then 5 days and finally 30 days. Do I have confidence that I will get a refund???

Guido " Madonna " 26 Jahre bei Tui, sehr gut viel wissenswertes über Land & Leute berichtet. Weinprobe zu kurz. Mehr wissenswertes von der Familie vom Weingut und deren Herstellung wäre schön gewesen. Mittagessen im Bergdorf war gut und schön. Ausflug zur Honig Herstellung zu kurz.

The bus did not stop for us, despite us being 15 mins early for the 0830am pick up. Our rep Christos arrived as we were trying to sort it out & confirmed with reception we were waiting at front of hotel as directed. He called the driver who lied & said he stopped but we weren't there. I do not appreciate being called a liar. Christos was amazing and drive us to meet the tour bus in Kos so we could join (we could not reschedule)but we missed 1 hour and 40 of the tour & had almost no time in Kos.

Zu wenig Zeit bei wichtigen Hotspots! Wir haben 3 Reisen über TUI gebucht und immer das gleiche, die meiste Zeit wird gegeben um in irgendwelchen Restaurants, Kaffees, oder verlassenen Dörfern mit Souvenir Shops zu verbringen! Gesagt wurde uns, die einheimischen müssten ja auch von etwas leben. Ich werde in Zukunft solche Reisen vermeiden! Ich möchte die angegebenen Hotspots erkunden und etwas erfahren! Besser ihr bucht bei einheimischen eine bootstour oder ähnlich und erkundet auf eigene Tour

There's not enough room to say everything. But Manos our guide was great, informing us of history and mythology. So interesting and entertaining, giving us free time advising the group. The various stops were great town of Kos Ascapelion using visual aids. The vineyard, honey factory Kia fabulous food. Just the best tour ever and we'll worth doing. Thanks

Door het slechte weer die dag, veel regen, was alles een beetje in vertraging, waardoor we voor sommige activiteiten redelijk beperkt waren in tijd. De vrije tijd in Kos, het wijnproeven en het honingproeven. 5 verschillende wijntjes proeven op een 20tal minuten is kort. Onze gids Vera heeft ons wel de hele dag geboeid gehouden door haar manier van vertellen en alles wat ze wist over Kos.

Ich empfand die Tour als reine Verkaufsveranstaltung. Wir wurden von der Wein zur Honigverkostung etc. gekarrt und alles unter Zeitdruck Die Reiseführern hatte ein immenses Fachwissen, was unreflektiert über die Kopfhörer an due Touristen so schnell und in einem schwer verständlichem Deutsch wiedergeben wurde. Interaktion zu den Kunden ...Fehlanzeige

Es waren viele Eindrücke innerhalb kürzester Zeit. Vor allem die Zeit in Zia war allerdings zu kurz. Hier würden wir uns einen etwas längeren Aufenthalt wünschen. Der Fotospot in Richtung Kefalos war aus unsere Sicht unnötig (die ganze Insel ist einfach insgesamt wunderschön). Die Zeit in Zia zu verbringen, wäre stattdessen besser genutzt .

Die. Abholung am Hotel erfolgte 30 Minuten später, diese Zeit müsste wieder eingeholt werden, es war ein ständiges Antreiben, keine gemütliche Tour fast wie eine Verkaufstour. Keine Zeit in Zia das Dorf anzuschauen. Stadtführung in Kos Stadt, war nur auf einen Platz mit viel geschichtlicher Information. Sprache schnell mit Akzent schlecht zu verstehen. Preis, Leistung ganz schlecht. Kann die Tour nicht empfehlen. Seit Jahren die schlechteste Tour bei der ich mit gibt. Schade für die Zeit und der

Guide on coach was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Too many quick stops to places that felt like tourist traps rather than genuinely interesting places to visit. Lunch was very disappointing. Asclepeion visit was the highlight of the trip.

The guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. What you need to do when we first get on the coach is explain what will happen when we get to Kos. I thought there would be a guide from the outset but there was no one, it was just a coach full of people with no guide. And when someone eventually got on we were nearly there and I couldn’t understand a word she said. It was very confusing

Die Reiseleitung war super, wusste unheimlich viel und hat mit Leidenschaft ihre Insel präsentiert. Der Tag aber war viel zu voll, man ist sowohl durch Kos als auch Asklepios durchgehechelt. Die Weinverkostung war ein Schnelldurchlauf im Stehen ohne wesentliche Infos oder Zeit für Genuss. Die Honigverkostung bestand darin, in einer Schlange zu stehen und Holzspatel zu bekommen. Absolute Massenabfertigung, obwohl die Läden liebevoll geführte Familienunternehmen waren. Wirklich schade.

Gut geführte Tour, die Tourführerin hat ein enormes Wissen, an dem sie uns hat teilhaben lassen. Wir konnten viele interessante Dinge über Kos erfahren. Nicht nur die Sehenswürdigkeiten wurden uns erklärt, auch die Botanik kam nicht zu kurz. So erfuhren wir durchaus Wissenwertes für die Pflanzen und Bäume und die klimatischen Verhältnisse. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Tour, obwohl in der Kürze der Zeit, die zur Verfügung stand, immer wieder auf die Uhr gesehen werden musste.

Ik vond de dag overvol en daardoor was er echt te weinig tijd om (Max 45 min)het deftig te bekijken,bv ascleipeon kan je niet op 45 min bekijken,je kan juist helemaal naar boven gaan en snel terug naar beneden om op tijd bij de bus te zijn. Ik zou minder stops plannen zodat we alles deftig in ons kunnen opnemen. Ik vond 98 euro dan ook teveel om de hele dag van het ene naar het andere te spurten.

Der Ausflug war insgesamt sehr gut geplant., die besuchten Orte waren interessant. Rundum: ein schönes Programm. Für uns war die Dame, die die Reiseleitung machte leider nicht so gut. Sie erklärte viel zu viel, viele Mythen, sprang durch die Geschichte, so dass uns immer wieder der rote Faden fehlte. Das war sehr schade. Die Betreueng vor Ort war super! Sowohl von TUI, als auch vom Hotel selber! Freundlichkeit von allen Mitarbeitern (von der Reinigungskraft, bis hin zur Managerin, besonders nett war der TUI Mitarbeiter Ingo Wiegel) Die Sauberkeit der Anlage, die Hotelanlage selber, das Freizeitangebot, als auch das Essen waren für uns 5 Sterne von 5! Ein super toller Traumurlaub, der keinen Wünsche offen ließ! Wir hatten jederzeit, egal worum es ging, immer eine kompetente Ansprechstelle vor Ort. Alles supi!

This was the only tour I managed while recovering from cancer, and I’m so glad I went. My rep Justine recommended it, and she was quite right. The guide was marvellous and had us all laughing. The food was fine, though nothing special, but the village was utterly charming. I’d certainly recommend it.

Vrij lange busrit. Wijnproeverij was helaas te kort, misschien de uitleg van het wijn proces tijdens de proeverij ipv ervoor. Foto moment was helaas matig, er staat een groot hotel voor de rots in zee. tour begeleiding was geweldig!
