With some of the highlights of Kos wrapped up in one day out, this adults-only tour showcases the variety of the island. Together with your guide you'll explore Kos town, the Asclepeion ancient site and the village of Zia. A visit to a wine factory and a viewpoint round off the day. Sophia, one of our expert local guides, says "the Asclepeion of Kos was dedicated to Asclepius, the Greek god of healing and medicine, and it was known as a healing sanctuary in ancient times. The peaceful surroundings and the extensive gardens were soothing for patients."Start off with a guided visit to Kos town and its eye-catching harbour with bobbing boats lined up. Next, step back in time at ancient Asclepeion, which remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. Here, you'll have free time to explore and imagine Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, undergoing his medical education at the Asclepeion. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and studied how to treat disease. You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. After lunch in a typical restaurant, it's on to taste local wine at a wine factory, and honey in a honey factory. Then, at the end of the excursion, you have the chance to capture amazing photos at Kefalos village at the south part of the island. What is the itinerary for this experience? de tijd vanuit Akti Beach Hotel om langs alle lokaties te rijden om klanten op te pikken neemt veel tijd in beslag, voordat je uiteindelijk richting reis(excursie)doel vertrekt.

Die Betreueng vor Ort war super! Sowohl von TUI, als auch vom Hotel selber! Freundlichkeit von allen Mitarbeitern (von der Reinigungskraft, bis hin zur Managerin, besonders nett war der TUI Mitarbeiter Ingo Wiegel) Die Sauberkeit der Anlage, die Hotelanlage selber, das Freizeitangebot, als auch das Essen waren für uns 5 Sterne von 5! Ein super toller Traumurlaub, der keinen Wünsche offen ließ! Wir hatten jederzeit, egal worum es ging, immer eine kompetente Ansprechstelle vor Ort. Alles supi!

This was the only tour I managed while recovering from cancer, and I’m so glad I went. My rep Justine recommended it, and she was quite right. The guide was marvellous and had us all laughing. The food was fine, though nothing special, but the village was utterly charming. I’d certainly recommend it.

Vrij lange busrit. Wijnproeverij was helaas te kort, misschien de uitleg van het wijn proces tijdens de proeverij ipv ervoor. Foto moment was helaas matig, er staat een groot hotel voor de rots in zee. tour begeleiding was geweldig!

Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Tour, ein gesunder Mix aus gemeinsamer u. eigener Erkundung. Tourguide Doris war eine Kölsche Frohnatur, locker und leicht mit viel Wissen über die Insel u. ihrer Geschichte. Das Einzige, was vllt. etwas ruhiger sein könnte, das Mittagessen. Hauptgang kam schon, als noch Vorspeise gegessen wurde. Aber: sehr lecker! Und vllt. etwas mehr Kefalonia besichtigen (persönl. Meinung).

Der Guide wusste sehr viel über die Geschichte aber es waren zu viele Informationen. In Kos Stadt hätte ich es noch schön gefunden wenn wir in die Burg gegangen wären wie nur vor der Mauer all die Infos zu erhalten.

Our tour guide was fantastic (Manolis) - witty, very knowledgeable & charismatic. His descriptions and historical information throughout the whole day were excellent. Vor allem die sehr gut Deutsch sprechende Reiseführerin stach hervor. Sie hat uns viel über die Insel, die Innenstadt von Kos, das Asklepion erzählen können. Wir fühlten uns jederzeit gut informiert und aufgehoben. Etwas muss man auf den recht hohen Preis für diesen Ausflug hinweisen, aber das ist man ja für Ausflüge, die von den Reiseveranstaltern organisiert werden, gewohnt. Die herausragende Reiseführerin hat dies auf jeden Fall wettgemacht und der Ausflug war zweifellos optimal organisiert!

Essen sehr gut. Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und nett. Wunderschöne Anlage. Das Wasser im Schwimmingpool war viel zu kalt, ging deshalb nicht schwimmen. Außerhalb der Anlage liegt überall Müll, das finde ich schrecklich und abstoßend

Unsere Reisebegleiterin Monika war super, auch der Busfahrer ,das Essen hätte besser sein können, war einfach Massenabfertigung. Das haben wir schon besser erlebt. Das die Tickets und das Essen im Preis mit enthalten waren, ist in Ordnung. Die Weinverkostung war jetzt nicht sonderlich gut. Weine einfach hingestellt und man konnte alle probieren, das war's. Keine ausführlichen Erläuterungen oder Unterschiede zwischen den Weinen. Kann man auch weglassen.

Unsere Reiseleitung Lydia war klasse- sehr fachkundig, geradlinig, hat uns sehr angeleitet dass der Ablauf stimmte, und die Zeit eingehalten werden konnte. Sie hat jede Minute genutzt um von der Geschichte der Insel zu erzählen. Es war sehr spannend. Vielleicht könnte die Zeit für den Ausflug noch um 1-2h verlängert werden, da es so viel zu sehen und zu erkunden gibt.

What made this trip even more special was the knowledge and sense of humour that the guide had, he was excellent, introduced himself as Dave however does have a greek name which I am unable to give. he was also the guide on the valcano visit that my husband and I did.

Uns hat es gut auf Kos gefallen, 1 Woche ist ausreichend für die kleine Insel. Die Unterkunft und der Service waren auch gut, beim Essenangebot war für jeden etwas dabei und auch schmackhaft. Sehr freundliches Personal im Hotel und auch bei der TUI Reiseleitung. Wir hatten ein Problem, das sofort gelöst werden konnte. Die Woche war für uns sehr entspannt, auch die Ausflüge waren gut organisiert....

Pour chaque visite, nous n’avions pas le temps de visiter, chaque fois on nous disait si vous voulez voir plus il faudra revenir. Au restaurant, c’était très bon, mais aussi très très rapide, on n’avait pas le temps, dommage, nous étions à Zia. Après nous sommes allés à Kefalos, juste pour faire une photo du paysage, donc on est descendu du car et remonte tout de suite, on devait être rentré pour 17h. Bref je ne recommande pas

Abholung an Taverne hatfunktioniert, ebenso Transfer ohne Reiseleitung bis Hafen Kos. Dort von Katharina mit Audioguide ausgestattet nur bis zum Marktplatz, Rest der Stadt mussten wir selbst erkunden ohne Reiseführer. Transfer nach Asclepeion ok, dort nur Info am Eingang, Gelände wieder selbst erkundet da Reiseleitung unten blieb. Weinverkostung ist ein Witz von 10min, ebenso Honig. Mittagessen in Zia ohne sonstige Führung, sonst nur Bustransfer. Wir hatten mehr erwartet, waren sehr enttäuscht.

Lovely tour. The guide was excellent: very knowledgeable and she was also very accommodating of ourselves as my daughter has Long Covid/ME/CFS and cannot go far. The tour was excellent as it meant we got to see a bit of Kos and it's history. We were able to sit and have a coffee in the free time allotted, when we were unable to explore. I'd definitely recommend it as a chance to see and learn a bit more about Kos.

Really enjoyed the day. Nicely spaced. Kos Town visit was a bit short. Suggest you drop the final ‘photo op’ stop (waste of time) to give more time earlier in the day in Kos Town. Guide was excellent.

Gut gefallen hat uns das Hotel sehr Sauber; Personal sehr freundlich; Verpflegung da gibt es nichts zum Aussetzten; Transport von Flughafern zum Hotel und zurück Pünklich; Ausflug nach Kos City Nachts war sehenwert; Allerdings die Abholung mit einem Bus zu diesem Ausflug war weniger gut; Mehr als 45 Minuten Wartezeit auf den Bus noch dazu an der Hauptstraße - wir wollten schon zurück in Hotel gehen- dann kam der Bus doch noch. Ohne Benachrichtigung; Hier ist noch viel Luft nach oben.

Unsere Reiseleitung Monika war wirklich super. Sie hat uns gut über alles aufgeklärt und erklärt. ?? Das Essen in der Taverne hätte besser sein können. Die Seezunge war zu fettig und das Souvlaki leider zu trocken. Die Pommes waren zu kurz in der Friteuse. Der Reis dafür perfekt. Der Rest des Ausfugs war super gelungen.

Mooie dagtocht per bus met een vriendelijke, Nederlandssprekende gids, Dania genaamd. Zij wist heel veel te vertellen over de plekken die wij bezochten en konden alles goed volgen middels de audiotour (botgeleid oortje). Alles was goed georganiseerd en de activiteiten waren leuk en interessant. Ook een lekkere lunch. Geeft goede indruk van het eiland. Ècht een aanrader:-)

Die Reiseleiterin war absolut toll. ABER man kam sich wie auf einer Verkaufsfahrt vor. Honig, Wein, in Zia..... Es wurde so angeboten, dass wir auch nach Kefalos fahren.... Aber nur ein kurzes Bild von oben, und das von der Straße aus. Absoluter Nepp und das für 100 € pro Person

Katharina ist eine prima gut informierte Reise Leiterin! Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Selten, dass ich nicht lm Reiseführer nachlesen musste. Die Dame hat Erfahrung.

I enjoyed the service in the Yacht Restaurant Lily always made us feel welcome and had great meal when she was there making sure that we were being taken care of and that we had everything that we needed. I didn’t like the attitude of how I was I treated from the main person taken the bookings in the Yacht Restaurant they are down right rude an uninviting, it was worst part of my stay, the Entertainment was great the food was amazing and I hope to be back again, and service at pool bar amazing

Die Besichtigung Kos Stadt war viel zu kurz. Weinverkostung zu kurz und und damit ungemütlich es wurde nur auf die Uhr geschaut, beim Imker Massentourismus kann man sich schenken. Das Dorf Zia nett aber auch nur Massentourismus. Das Essen mittags nicht besonders. Für 100 Euro pro Person könnte man mehr verlangen und nicht alles zu schnell erledigen. Die Reiseführerin Monika war ausgesprochen gut, hat viel über Kos erzählt. Die Fahrt im Bus war angenehm.

The tour guide was excellent, and was the making of tge tour. The number of visits was just right, although a couple were a bit rushed. I actually thought the cost of the tour was fair, value for money.
