It’s expensive, but it’s a good course in the middle of a desert. The greens are not European standard, but the fairways are fantastic and it’s an experience you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. The clubs aren’t the greatest but they provide ********** and tees. If you love golf then I really recommend it. The wind is brutal though!! If not sure then do the front 9 at least. Buggy recommended, there are some distance between tees on the back 9 especially. Add in 20 euro for taxi, 10 each way.

Very expensive. No map of the course given and a very small piece of fake grass given for when not on the course. I would definitely played more but not for the price

A unique golf experience testing the best skills in very windy conditions. The greens and areas of grass were in excellent condition. You carry around a piece astro turf in case you stray off the grass fairway, worked just fine. Equipment was in good condition, putting green and range was sufficient to get you warmed up

Course really good for what they had to work with. Downside way too expensive. Buggies to expensive. Ripped off with taxi. ( not your fault). It’s the only course on the island just can’t see it taking off. We were offered our next round half price.??????????. Shame it wasn’t that price start with.

Amazing course and they have just opened the back 9 holes. The course is beautiful and very well maintained The staff were friendly and so helpful plus they have a good choice of equipment to hire. The only thing that you have to consider is a taxi to and from the course.

It’s your only option if you want a game of golf. The course is half cinder so you get a piece of astroturf for when you are in the cinder, and the tees are Astro. Clubs weren’t too bad, old but good makes, callaway, Taylor made etc. greens not too bad, they do a great job considering the scarcity of water but my! The round cost £240 with a buggy(£50). This is seriously poor vfm. Wouldn’t pay that again I’m afraid no matter how much I wanted a round of golf.

This was a very enjoyable experience to Viveiro Golf Course during our stay in March 2024 - all the staff were very friendly and extremely pleasant from start to finish - I would defiantly revisit if we are in Sal again

Charming 9 hole course with grass footprints in the desert for each hole. Staff were helpful and polite. The hired clubs were well used but fit for purpose. The 1 mile walk to the course was a bit of a concern due to the lack of decent footpaths on the busy roads. Over all an enjoyable experience but the most expensive 9 holes we’ve ever played anywhere.

You have to accept that the couese is built on a desert like landscape.It is a well laid out corse with plenty fairway grass and greens are excellent.Management and staff (Eddy)were brilliant,well mannered and even came out on the coure to see how we were getting on. Great service.

Na contact met de reisleiding werd mij verzekerd dat het basic pakket bij de golf excursie inclusief 9 holes was, dit bleek onjuist te zijn waardoor ik op de golfclub zelf nog ruim €140 moest afrekenen!!! Boven op de €110 die ik betaald had. Als ik dat van tevoren geweten had dan had ik niet voor deze excursie gekozen!!

Viel ons mee! Prima 9 holes baan pas een jaar aangelegd op een eiland met alleen zand, stenen en zee. Vooral de wind, zand en lava maakt het een uitdaging om naar de groene vlaktes te spelen. Vergeet vooral niet de stukjes kunststof gras mee te nemen (waren ze bij ons vergeten te geven) dat slaat makkelijk als je op het lavazand terecht komt. Geen mooi clubhuis maar een prima alternatief met heerlijke koffie en dranken.

Gepflegte 9-Loch Anlage. Zuvorkommendes Personal. Ist kein Golfplatz für hohe Ansprüche, aber absolut empfehlenswert. Sehr interessant zu spielen bezüglich Fairways und Greens. Der Wind ist aber absolut unberechenbar, aber macht das Ganze auch spannend. Ein schönes Erlebnis. Ich würde diesen Platz wieder spielen und empfehle ihn gerne weiter.

We went to play the new golf course in Sal, Cape Verde. It’s only just being developed with nine holes in play and a further nine under construction. As you might expect at this stage in development the course is still settling down, however we enjoyed the challenge and the views. The staff at the course were really friendly and helpful and the facilities were rustic. Price at 150 euros per person including club hire for 18 holes a little expensive but overall a good day out

Ein außergewöhnlicher Platz. Mal was ganz anderes. Hat mir wirklich große Freude gemacht den Platz zu spielen. Tolles Personal, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Den Preis für 9 Loch empfinde ich aber dennoch als etwas hoch.

Anspruchsvoller Golplatz, der uns aber viel Spaß gemacht. Sehr nettes Personal !!! Die Preise sind aber zu hoch, teurer als in Deutschland. 75,00 € wären für 18 Loch realistisch. Insgesamt kann ich aber den Golplatz weiterempfehlen.
