Venetië is gebouwd op meer dan 100 eilanden. De stad is vooral bekend om zijn netwerk van donkerblauwe kanalen, omzoomd met historische architectuur en sierlijke stenen bruggen. Tijdens deze dagtrip van Istrië naar Venetië steek je met de boot de Adriatische Zee over en krijg je de kans om in je vrije tijd deze romantische Italiaanse stad te verkennen.Je komt in stijl aan bij de pier van San Basilio, midden in het centrum van Venetië. Vanaf hier begin je je ontdekkingstocht door ‘La Serenissima'. Terwijl je door deze legendarische plek slentert, heb je genoeg tijd om een paar highlights van de stad te ontdekken. Absolute topper is het legendarische Piazza San Marco, een plein dat wordt gedomineerd door de Byzantijnse basiliek van San Marco en zijn klokkentoren.Hoe kun je je tijd in deze fascinerende stad verder besteden? Maak een gondeltocht, wandel over de bruggen en strijk neer in een klassieke eetgelegenheid – er is hier van alles te doen. Tenslotte ga je op eigen gelegenheid naar de haven om Venetië in de vroege avond te verlaten en terug te keren naar Kroatië nadat je een van de topsteden van Italië hebt gezien.

Let op: je paspoort is echt belangrijk. Tijdens deze trip gaan we de grens over van Kroatië naar Italië. Venetië heeft een toeristenbelasting van € 5,00 per persoon ingevoerd om de stad binnen te komen. Deze moet minstens vier dagen voor je bezoek worden betaald, anders wordt het € 10,00. De belasting geldt voor bezoekers ouder dan 14 jaar van 8.30 tot 16.00 uur en kan alleen online worden betaald via de website van het toeristenbureau van Venetië: https://cda.ve.it
Tot nu toe zijn de datums waarop de toeristenbelasting in Venetië in 2026 geldt: elke vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag in april, mei, juni en juli, plus 6 april, 24 april - 3 mei en 1 juni - 7 juni
Je moet deze toeristenbelasting betalen op de gekozen datum. Als je dat niet doet, mag je Venetië niet in

Om dit zo soepel mogelijk te laten verlopen, vragen we je om de voor- en achternaam, geboortedatum en paspoortnummer/ID-nummer, uitgevende instantie en vervaldatum van iedereen die bij deze boeking hoort, door te geven

I Think it would be beneficial to have some explanation of what’s on offer from the ferry company and also where it docks in Venice to make it easier to plan.It was expensive to add on the 2 boat trips and without prior knowledge difficult to organise the day . The pick ups went well. I missed the email from tui with the ferry tickets. Some prior email to look for them would be good.

Trip was well organised, we paid extra for the full experience and every part went well, all in all a great day out. The only downside was the return crossing which seemed to drag a little so maybe some entertainment would help but only a small niggle and probably not helped by poor weather and sea condition.

Very good trip lots to see and falue for money. Unfortunately as the English were the smallest group we seamed to be not a priority there was confusion about what boat we should be on and on the way back we were placed in a line to board a boat then left alone we had to move to another line to get on boat . Also late back so missed our evening meal

The transfer from the hotel was good and boarding the catamaran was easy. The vessel was comfortable and the presentation by the guide en route was very interesting. Although the optional extra package sounded very good, we opted to make our own way around Venice and found most of the major landmarks and a handy local supermarket at the port to pick up refreshments. Plenty of opportunity for photos as we left port slowly. The return journey was quite long and docking instructions weren’t clear.

Great day and definitely value for money. The guide was amazing with lots of knowledge to share. The only part that let's this trip down is that there are not enough seats for the 3 hour journey making it a very long day, having to sit outside on plastic what can only be described as old school chairs for the return journey put a damper on was an amazing day.

This was an amazing day out. My husband, me and our daughter had a lovely time. The guides were really friendly, informative and so helpful. The boat trip from Porec to Venice was a lovely experience and the guides made it fun by telling us the history of Venice, which was really interesting. The 4 mini trips during the day were well worth the €110 we paid and would have cost us a lot more if we had done them separately ourselves. We had time to ourselves in-between so also hit the shops.

We enjoyed the knowledge and history of the city would have liked the tour to be a little slower as found I was concentrating on where the blue umbrella was instead of looking at the magnificent buildings . Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience and would recommend the tour as a way of exploring this beautiful city

Information on the boat before reaching Venice. Live voice App on your phone, but I couldn't!! So didn't hear anything. All tours were well planned, with meeting up afterwards.. any problems they would try and help.. The meal for wasn't for me , but that's because I'm a fussy eater, A very long and exhausting day , but I'm glad I did it. Everyone has there own experience of there event's. We left the hotel at 7:15am and returned back 8:30pm.

Enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely day and met some great people. The only negative is the last boat taxi decided to drop us off at the wrong stop. We all had to walk and find our way back to the terminal.

Voucher van TUI was niet genoeg. Er moest eerst nog een ticket worden uitgeprint door de organisatie voor dat we aan boord konden. De helft van de mensen die mee wilden hadden hier last van. Ik neem aan dat niet iedereen via TUI de excursie hadden geboekt. Wat hier mis ging weet ik niet. Verder hebben we een leuke dag gehad.

Had the most amazing Guide whose knowledge was beyond compare. Was extremely lucky as there were only 4 British visitors in our Group and had the benefit of a lovely Slovenian Guide that spoke perfect English. We all felt that we experienced a first class service. We took advantage of the full package available and saw Venice in all it's glory that we would not have seen without our Guide had we gone on foot ourselves. It included a lovely meal in an authentic restaurant and gondola ride

Venice was really busy and expensive , the guides were very knowledgable but perhaps take smaller groups as you have to rush to keep up and have difficulty hearing what they are saying. On the ferry we were told if we wanted to do the water taxi, a gondola , go through the Grand Canal and lunch with the guides it would be a further 105 euros each and they required cash so we did 3 out of the 4 and had to find a cash machine and pay once back on the ferry. Weather was bad on Grand Canal

Good information on the boat and transfer into Venice. Difficult to keep up with guides on foot. Groups not effectively split into language sections Very poor gondola experience and bad value for money Water taxi transfer back to boat was satisfactory but cramped with 12 passengers I one boat

Great tour done by Kompas (company that provides the tour - not done by Tui) Catamaran was amazing, big boat but was very full, (not enough seats inside for everyone so thought this was too cramped especially that we had to sit outside with a child in the sun) Option of adding extra to basic trip - transfer via boat, restaurant and food/drink, gondola ride, taxi boat. Was €100 for adults, €60 for children (age up to 14) - was well worth the money Venice was amazing and a beautiful city ???

The whole day was fantastic and unforgettable. We chose to take part in the guided tour which was an extra €100 each. This included water taxi to St Mark”s Square, lunch with wine, gondola ride and tour of the lagoon and islands, definitely worth it. Just wish we’d had more time to spend there. The guides were great, very knowledgeable and friendly. Ferry trip from Porec took approximately 3 hours, but what a wonderful way to arrive in Venice. Would highly recommend this trip.
