Wat te verwachten
Ontdek de Costa del Sol te land en ter zee met deze leuke namiddagtocht. Pak de comfortabele snelle ferry van Fuengirola naar Benalmadena, ga dan landinwaarts voor een bezoek aan Mijas – het populairste witgekalkte dorp aan de kust. Eenmaal daar shop je naar hartenlust of ga je op verkenning.Om op te warmen voor het hoofdevent reis je naar Fuengirola en stap je aan boord voor een tocht langs de kust naar Benalmadena. Als je weer aan wal bent, stap je in de bus en rij je naar Mijas in de heuvels. Eenmaal aangekomen wacht je een glas lokale wijn en een tapa in een nabijgelegen bar in het hart van het centrum. Daarna heb je vrije tijd om de kronkelige steegjes van de stad in je eigen tempo te verkennen. Zo shop je voor typisch Andalusische producten zoals lederwaren en keramiek, bekijk je de kapel in de rotsen of maak je een ritje met de beroemde ezeltaxi's - de kinderen vinden dit geweldig.

Mijas is lovely to walk around. We stopped at a lovely coffee shop which was really reasonably priced. The boat trip was fine. Just a trip across the harbour.

The boat trip was enjoyable and so was the visit to Mijas. Plenty of time to explore the tapas and wine was good too.Nearly didn’t take this because of the negative comments I read before booking but we all enjoyed the experience.The bus was on time and the guide was very good.

De excursies zijn prijzig, zeker als je met drie op reis bent. Maar al bij al was het een goede beslissing om Mijas te bezoeken als excursie. We hadden een fantastische begeleiding van Fred uit Charleroi. Hij heeft dat prima gedaan zodat we alleen maar moesten volgen en 'ondergaan'. Alleen jammer dat we altijd moesten wachten op een dame die met een rollator mee was en absoluut niet mobiel. Het was ook erg voor haar volgens ons was ze niet op de hoogte van het verre wandelen tussenin.

Die Tour hat uns an sich gefallen, also die Stadt und die Bootstour. Das vorher erkundigte Tourversprechen wurde leider nicht eingehalten. Wir kommen aus Deutschland und können wenig Englisch. Uns wurde versprochen das der Guide Deutsch kann. Leider war dies aber nicht der Fall. Wir wurden direkt angepampt das er kein Deutsch könne, hat sich überhaupt nicht auf uns eingelassen und uns nicht ausreden lassen. Durch die nicht deutsche Reiseleitung gingen uns viele wichtige Informationen verloren.

Wij vonden Mijas geweldig, maar te weinig tijd om het plaatsje te bezichtigen. De boottocht had voor ons geen toegevoegde waarde. Hadden liever meer tijd doorgebracht in Mijas.

Coach and boat trip went well. As a person with walking issues we were told when booking that we should be ok. Well we were until we reached Mijas and the guide took us for a ‘drink’. We followed the group until we reached the bar which happened to be up 3 flights of steps. Needless to say we didn’t go and remained in the centre which is lovely with bars, restaurants and shops. People booking should be advised of the ‘drink’ when booking. Good day otherwise.

The boat trip could have been better stopping couple times to maybe use the bar . You really need a whole day in Mijas to see everything ,such a beautiful place . Was never told how much of a climb Mike's would be , said there was a bit of walking but not stairs forever .

I am very upset with the way your tour representative deliberately misinformed me of the amount of walking involved. I rechechecked with him and was assured there was not much walking at all. Our day was ruined because I had to be left in the square on our own, unable to climb the many many steps to see the things we paid for. I paid 116 euros . £62.45.. for the trip that was a none event for us. I am so upset that he deliberately misinformed me about the amount of walking involved

Would say that the ferry ride was totally wast of time. The ferry just simply passed through a pod of dolphins took aprox 2 mins. ?? what a wast of 1 hour on a ferry. The tour would have been better if you had more time allowed in Mijas as there is s lot more to see & photograph given more time. The tappas & drink was totally a wast of time & money. If people had more time they could enjoy a proper meal & decent drink. This trip needs a good overhaul & just seemed very rushed.

The trip was on the day the power went out. We received a message from TUI when on the coach saying not to leave the hotel but the trip continued the boat trip was dangerous unsafe the waves leaving the port were over 3 metres and then 1.5 - 2 meters for the remaining trip. Once we arrived at Mijas there was not the tapas we had paid for as they were not expecting us and shops unable to take card payments. The trip should have been cancelled and refunded but money was more important than safety

Boat trip was ok but a bit pointless time would be better spent in the town. The real down side of the trip was the unnecessary marching disabled people the steep stairs when they could have used the lift. As one disabled person slipped and hurt them self this could have been avoided simply by pointing out that there's a lift for anyone that has problems with stairs.

Informatie vooraf over de loopafstanden had beter gekund. Wij waren op een gegeven moment de groep kwijt een konden nog net de Bus van TUI, die ver weg geparkeerd stond. Aangezien ik 10 weken geleden een nieuwe knie heb gehad en nog aan het revalideren bent was dit voor mij een hele toer om de bus te bereiken. Ik had de gids geïnformeerd, Er waren ook veel ouderen waarvoor de gids ook te snel liep. Gelieve bij boeken vermelding dat dit geen excursie is voor mensen slecht ter been.

Mijas was really lovely and wish we had longer than 90 minutes there. The boat trip seemed an unnecessary extra. It would have been better to just have the trip to Mijas and a longer stay to really explore it and enjoy it.

With hind sight I would have just taken a taxi to Mijas. The town was so lovely and well worth visiting but the ferry and coach trip was a waste of time. It was unfortunate that the ferry arrived 20 minutes late so we were standing in a queue in sweltering heat for over 45 minutes. Then on the way back from Mijas the coach broke down so we waited an hour for a replacement which we were told would be 15 minutes.

I enjoyed this trip especially to Mijas. Could have done without the boat trip on reflection, but just because the Costa del Sol is just all buildings. Nothing much to look at. The sea was also rough and so the ferry was not a smooth sailing and no information given about what we were looking at. The guide Fred was lovely. Very informative and friendly. He looked after everyone well. The coach broke down on the way back and he did his best to keep everyone updated whilst new coach was arranged.

No time in Benalmadena,felt rushed getting on coach in Fuengirola, rushed to Tapas bar once arriving in Mijas, food recieved was inedible, cold and uncovered,thought it was a starter, was given a choice of the smallest glass of beer or sangria, was told to sit on terrace, no service and tour guide came out with a full glass of beer,said cheers and meet you at the coach later, gave us a few pointers early on but again very rushed. Would not choose this tour again, but go independently.

Nous aurions aimes avoir notre guide avec nous pour toute la visite au lieu de la balade en bateau. Aucun dauphins ?? à l'horizon. Pour nous,cette balade en Mer était superficielle. L'excursion était à faire malgré ce point. Le village de Mijas est magnifique. Nous avons eu un guide exceptionnel. Merci à lui ainsi qu'a notre Chauffeur.

Lovely place but the tour needs the timings changed . We got to mijas at siesta time so many restaurants closed . Would be better going to Mijas first and going back by boat . More time needed in Mijas.

This is an excellent trip which I highly recommend! Bus picked up on time and it was an hour to the port. Time went so quickly as Fred the guide was so informative! A little free time to grab an ice cream then an hour boat ride. A short bus ride to Mijas which is beautiful! Sangria was welcomed although the ‘tapas’ need improving. Then 2 hours free time in Mijas to enjoy at your leisure. Trip was 6 hours long - well worth the money! Sadly, not a trip for those who can’t walk short distances.

Gids totaal niet geschikt, konden hem amper verstaan, na dit aan hem gemeld te hebben zei hij dat hij zijn stem wou sparen, liet moeder en kind achter maar werd nog op tijd opgemerkt gelukkig . Hebben dus weinig informatie gekregen van omgeving, verder de heerlijke tapas bestond uit een beetje chips en een sneetje stokbrood met beleg,dus in totaal het uitstapje veel te duur voor wat we geboden kregen. Paar dagen later een excursie geboekt via andere organisatie en die was perfect

Bus 25 minutes late to pick up. Couldn’t hear guide, didn’t seem to have microphone on all of the time. Boat ride was very good. Nice having the drink and tapas in Mijas and plenty of time to look around.. Overall a nice trip.

Brilliant trip, boat a little rough as windy, but lots of fun. Only downside is people with mobility issues, Mijas is very hilly. Yes not so many steps but the the walk from the bus park was an incredibly steep hill. We saw the chapel, had a nice tapas and drink, and about an hour to ourselves to explore. I sat on a bench with a lovely mountain view as it was a bit hot for me. Very enjoyable day though

Negatives: Would have liked a return boat trip. Felt rushed, was originally told wasn't enough time for children to go toilet. Guide did rethink and stop to allow for toilet break. Only an hour (after Tapas) at Mijas to explore the town, which flew by. Spent more time on the bus (total of three journeys) then we did on the boat and in Mijas. Positives: Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Driver did well to avoid traffic and road closures. Boat trip was enjoyable. Mijas was lovely.

1. we were picked up at a bus stop rather than at hotel. Problem is that there is no physical bus stop, the bus just stops there! Thus concerned that we were at correct place. I only found out location after talking to hotel staff. I could easily have been waiting on the wrong side of road and that stop is not visible from other side of road, thus we would have not been seen by someone looking from bus.

Leider keine Abholung direkt am Atalaya Park Hotel, daher nur eine 8 bei Service. Auch wäre eine deutschsprachige Reiseleitung nicht schlecht gewesen. Der Guide hat viel erzählt, aber leider nur in Englisch und Französisch.Alles Übrige war sehr schön und besten Organisiert.

Mijas Is a beautiful place so rich in tradition and culture and getting to see it was amazing. I personally would recommend taking a tuk tuk tour once there if you would like to see as much as you can in a short space of time. The trip was amazing

pluim voor de gids; echt prima en vlot meertalig en enthousiast ; helaas net die ene dag mist over de kuststreek zodat we vanaf de boot niets zagen van kustlijn of enige dolfijn ;)
