Being mislead over the time in the bus. It was 2 hours to get there and 90 minutes back. Anyone with IBS or bowel problems would have an accident on the bus. You need to use a bus with a toilet or be honest with travel times.

This trip was excellent. Our guide, Salah, was incredible with a vast knowledge on a number of topics. Lovely to explore El Jem and the museum. Coach driver (Yassin) was also excellent and you felt very safe when being transferred there and back. All in all, would highly recommend this trip for people wanting to learn more about Tunisian history.

Guide and driver were brilliant with my elderly father and his walker. A bit of a walk from.the parking to El Jem and ramp was a little steep but better than alot of stairs. Mosaic museum was interesting. Great half day trip.

We really enjoyed our visit to El Jem. Our guide, Salah, was very warm, personable and knowledgable. It was good that he didn’t mind people seeing the sights at their own pace instead of just being guided. My only recommendation is that, given the tour has an early start, it would be better leaving most of the coach-journey talk (intro to Tunisia etc.) for the way back, as lots of people wanted to sleep on the way there.

The tour guide Salah was excellent, supplying lots of background information and answering every question given to him. El Jem coliseum is so worth visiting, better than Rome because it's pretty much access all areas (unlike Rome when I visited). My only very slight criticism is that although we were advised the trip was not suitable for people with mobility issues it should be underlined. The steps are very steep indeed.

Salah was an excellent guide who was very informative and personable. He was good with children and adults alike and had an encyclopedic knowledge of El Jem and the mosaic museum. We wished we could have had more time at the museum but we were happy to be back in the hotel for lunch.

Great place to see and well worth it. One of the few places to see in this area. Rest including the bizarre or medina etc not really our cup of tea. Half day is plenty. On the down side, the rep told us breakfast would be continental and available at 0630, as the bus arrived to collect us all at 0700. This wasn’t the case. Dining staff didn’t open till 0700, and naturally, the driver of the coach was a bit annoyed and was almost drumming his fingers on our table as we bolted down our breakfast.

The guide was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable and chatty. It wouldn't have been as good without his expertise. We saw the coliseum in Rome in the summer so this was a treat, such fabulous history. The toilets were horrendous. This was a shame, as everyone needs them, but I know that's not the tours fault.

We absolutely loved visiting El Jem and the local museum. The local museum was amazing seeing all the mosaics and Roman villas. El Jem Colosseum was honestly one of the best things & the access you are allowed everywhere is just great. Our guide was great. We would of liked our time around the museum rather than being taken around then straight out to the coach. However the two hours of picking up other guests from as far as Monastir was ridiculous and was a huge waste of time and money

There are tour guides who do the job for money. However Faris went above and beyond and you could sense he actually enjoyed being the tour guide and giving all this information and how proud he is of his country. He made the tour. Simple as that.

A very knowledgeable and friendly guide who was able to provide insight into not only the Cooliseum and its history but also Tunisian cultyre more widely. This tour was good but woupd benefit from more time at the site, not easy to appreciate all that history in such a short space of time. I'm aware of the limits but even another 45mins would make improve the experience greatly.

El Gem was fantastic. Museum likewise. Guide was informative and amusing. Picked up 0720 hrs.returned just after 1300hrs Spent 1.5 hours in amphitheater and and just under 1 hour in museum. Out of a total trip of 5 hours 40 minutes we spent approximately 2 hs 30 mins at the sites and 3 hrs 10 minutes on pickups from other hotels or on the road somehow. Furthermore the trip cost 240 dinar . Entry to the sites were included but the cost would have been 18 dinar had we made our own way there. .

El Jem and the museum are truly amazing and are well worth seeing. We were picked up late, had less time at the sites and felt v rushed and in extremely hot weather. Although staying in Monastir had to drive to Sousse to get a separate bus back. Advice- pick up earlier or don’t combine pick ups from both places. Trip length should also not be compromised for lateness. Felt the rep misadvised on length of the trip to sell it.

Very good tour and our guide Aida was very informative and knowledgeable. Although it was a half day trip I felt we spent a good bit of the day picking up people as full coach and then the same with dropping off. I felt if we had gone in smaller mini buses and met guide at the place it would have allowed for more time at both locations we visited.

Positif : - guide : la guide "Farès" (si j'écris correctement) était incroyable, extraordinaire et d'une gentillesse comme j'ai rarement vu. Nous avons eu des explications sur l'excursion mais aussi sur l'histoire du pays. Un guide que TUI doit absolument garder !!!! - le colisée est magnifique ! Comme annoncé ! A faire absolument ! Coach pickup was exact time specified. Tour guide gave a brilliant well informed talk about the colosseum and Tunisia in general whilst inbound on the coach. Enough time to explore the site and allowed to see as little and as much as we wanted too (as much as possible for us). Grabbed a pastry and cold drink in the local patisserie before a quick look around the museum then transfer back to hotel. Enjoyable 1/2 day trip ????

Ik vond de Colosseum zelf erg leuk om te ervaren, maar de reisgids was erg irritant. Gedurende de hele heen weg bleef hij heletijd het zelfde verhaal herhalen en dan ook nog eens boos worden dat mensen aan t slapen waren, omdat niemand luisterde naar hem. Heb echt zeker 20x gehoord: ladies and Gents as I said before el Jem… op gegeven moment is het ook wel klaar met het zelfde verhaal vertellen

The colosseum is remarkably well preserved and the mosaics were outstanding. You’re able to walk freely around El Jem, through the same tunnels as the gladiators! Wow! The guide was a lovely and helpful guy. Very knowledgeable and helpful and put a lot of effort into making sure we leaned as much history as possible. HOWEVER! The trip was very rushed. We were only given 20 mins at the museum and 40 mins to walk around El Jem. More time was spent on the coach - expensive and disappointing.

This tour was fantastic, the colosseum was amazing and we were able to see much more than when we had visited the famous one on Rome. I also especially enjoyed the stop at the museum beforehand where we got to see some spectacular mosaics. Our guide Fares was amazing, very knowledgeable and engaging. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great place to visit. Just felt we spent more time on the bus than visiting the attraction. I understand we were a distance from El Jem, but would have been nicer to spend maybe up to an hour extra there. An information leaflet to tell us more about the amphitheater and the different parts would have been good. Guide did inform us of the basics. Saw the mosaics prior which were amazing.

The site itself was amazing. Would have liked more information on El Jem, such as information on boards around the site and/or from the guide. The museum visit was excellent but would have liked more time there. Even though we were the last pick up going to the site on the coach, we were also the last drop-off, despite being the closest hotel to the site, which meant our journey home was very long (an hour extra than it needed to be- and we drove past our hotel on the way back).

Trip was rushed . Had 30 minutes in museum and 1hr at ampitheatre. The ampitheatre 1hr also included walking back and too from coach which was 10 mins each way . So just 40 minutes inside Guide apoke alot on the coach about the area but disnt teally give much information at ampitheatre

This was a good half day tour. Visiting the museum of mosaics at the start of the tour was very interesting and the mosaics were fabulous. The guide was very knowledgable but delivering the info in multiple languages made it difficult to follow at times. The Tunisian authorities could do more to improve the visitor experience with information boards and a model to show what the amphitheatre looked like originally.

Really good trip. Guide was very informative. Bus developed a fault, but this did not impact upon the visit as a replacement arrived whilst we were in the museum.

Die ganze Tour ging 7 Stunden anstatt angegeben 2-4 Stunden. Das war leider ein bisschen mühsam bis alle im Car waren in jedem Hotel die Leute abzuholen, allein dadurch war die Reise sehr lange aber das Erlebnis El Jem zu besuchen lohnt sich alle mal.
