Fatima, una delle nostre esperte guide locali, dice: "Per entrare nel centro storico di Mahdia, si passa attraverso un'antica porta, Skifa Kahla, alta 33 metri. Il nome significa "porta nera" e si trova qui dal 916, quando fu costruita come parte della fortezza che circondava la città originaria. È di grande importanza storica".La prima tappa è l'elaborato mausoleo di Bourguiba a Monastir. Questa grandiosa struttura dalle cupole dorate è il luogo di riposo del primo presidente della Tunisia Habib Bourguiba, noto anche come il padre dell'indipendenza tunisina, ed è stata costruita su suo progetto durante la sua vita. All'interno, potrete vedere alcuni dei suoi oggetti - la sua scrivania, i suoi libri e persino i suoi occhiali - conservati in sua memoria. Potrete anche ammirare la fortezza di Ribat, costruita nell'VIII secolo durante il califfato abbaside, affacciata sul mare.Percorrete la costa mediterranea fino a Mahdia, dove potrete ammirare le attrazioni culturali come l'antica fortezza di El Kebir. Disorganised, turned up to mausoleum before it was open. Very small medina and nothing much to see. In 8 hours, only a visit to mausoleum, small medina and Fort then lunch at the end. Lunch was good but olive oil overpriced, especially compared with what Alladin had advised. Overall very disappointing.

Guide knew lots of information and very friendly. More information on the timings of the day would have been helpful as about half of time was travelling which I was not expecting. Did not like being dropped in the medina as a single woman travelling and told to meet at bus later, I felt very vulnerable as not aware that was happening. Historic sites were great. Fish and meat markets were an acquired taste and smell. Restaurant had lovely food and lots of it. Fixed menu.

Tour guide and driver exceptional! visit to the olive farm and food 10/10 - knowledge of the guide made this tour for me . The only reason I gave 9 not 10 was that we only saw outside of the mosque and I think this should have been mentioned before booking. Overall the tour was exceptional but if you are older or have mobility issues it is a lot of walking and a few stairs . Well done Tui - great trip

Wenn ich einen Tagesausflug buche,dessen Inhalt nur 2 Städte und Lunch beinhaltet und ich dann in madhia nur 45 min.zeit bekomme,wovon mit hin- und Rückweg 30 min. draufgehen,bleibt in 25 min.keine zeit,den bedeutenden rabatt zu besichtigen,sich das erste schöne hafenviertel das ich bisher sah anzusehen. Ätzend! Habe bereut, die 22 km.nicht mit den öffentlichen.verkrhsmitteln gemacht zu haben.wesentlich günstiger und auch Zeit für eine stadtbesichtigung. Dann aber in der 2.stadt Zeit für eine

Wir wurden pünktlich vom Hotel abgeholt und etwas später ist die restliche kleine Reisegruppe mit unserem TUI Guide zugestiegen. Unser Geist hat uns sehr viel erzählt und somit den Tag sehr interessant gestaltet. Das Mittagessen, dass wir in einem Olivenhain zu uns genommen haben, was sehr gut. Wir konnten vor Ort auch Olivenöl kaufen. Die Städte waren nicht sehr interessant, aber die alten Burganlagen waren schön anzuschauen. Leider sind die Märkte nur auf touristischen Ramsch ausgelegt.

Lange Busfahrten, wenig interessantes gesehen. Das Restaurant war sehr schlecht. Essen kalt, Getränke warm, Toiletten eine Katastrophe, Bedienung aber freundlich. Außer lange Busfahrten und schlechtes Restaurant wird von dem Ausflug nichts in Erinnerung bleiben.

Uitstap van 8 uur waar je 5 uur in de bus zit , en maar max 40 minuten vrije tijd hebt om even rond te wandelen laat staan in de winkeltjes te kijken . Geld niet waard en vooral een verloren vakantiedag

We enjoyed the whole experience the lunch was very good our guide Mohamed was excellent! The only thing was perhaps a little more time after the morseleum for shopping or refreshment I would have thought another 30 minutes was comfortable!

afstanden waren te lang tussen de bezienswaardigheden de eigen vrije tijd was zeer kort de boerderij was zeer primitief de maaltijd was goed maar niet bijzonder ging ook allemaal erg snel borden werden al weggehaald terwijl je het nog nauwelijks op had de beste man deed erg zijn best daar lag het niet aan Ik heb de indruk dat de reistijd meer bedroeg dan de mogelijkheid om rustig te kijken en te ontdekken

Transportation vehicle was in very poor condition, internally it was in a poor state of repair with windows that were insecure, fixtures that were hanging loose due to missing screws and seats that were badly stained. It even had chewing gum stuck on the window frame left by a previous occupant of my seat.

We were home mid afternoon on what was a day tour (1/2 hour later than a day tour and we left earlier???)We did not go to the Medina in Monistair and I only booked the tour as I thought we would be going there. Just feel we could have seen a bit more. Truely felt like an 1/2 day tour with a main bit missed out. The tour guide was excellent though.

I didn’t enjoy lunch. There was also no need for lunch as there was nothing afterwards, so it would be better if it was a half day trip. It isn’t suitable if you have difficulty walking

De lange rit op de bus ( wat voor mij geen probleem was , maar voor sommige) . Te weinig tijd in Monastire . Maar het lokale bezoek in Mahidi was super Maar vooral het bezoek ( eten) aan de boerderij was voor mij een schot in de roos .

Fantastic trip guide was very friendly. Only 6 of us on the trip so you did not get lost in the group the guide made time for all of us. Bus was comfortable with air-conditioning. Toilets at 3 of the stops. Meal at the end was beautiful very filling.
