Lanzarote's mineral-rich volcanic soils are the key to its excellent wines. This morning tour takes you to three wineries to sample some of their award-winning organic wines. Plus, you'll also visit the Monumento del Campesino to see the famous farmer's monument. Teresa, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Our island's wines are the fruit of our ingenuity in harnessing the destruction wrought by Mother Nature into an art – a common thread that weaves together islander and landscape.'After pick-up, you'll head straight for the Monumento del Campesino, designed by legendary Lanzarote architect Cesar Manrique. Built in his trademark style that fused whitewashed structures with volcanic bubbles and exotic plants, it's a joy to explore. Then, it's off to the family-owned Bodega La Geria. Here, vines are shielded from the winds by horseshoe-shaped stone walls, while the humidity retained by the ash helps them grow in this harsh climate. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and taste some of its prized Malvasia wines.Next, nestled at the base of the Juan Bello volcano, you'll visit Bodega Los Bermejos. This boutique winery is famed for its artisanal approach, crafting exceptional wines from indigenous grape varieties like Malvasía Volcánica and Diego. Rounding off the tour is Bodega Suarez, a charming winery that offers visitors an authentic taste of the island's unique wine culture. We were hoping for an experience which included information on the local wine industry and the local traditions in terms of the growing and harvesting of the grapes - and then how the wine is processed, bottled etc. Plus info on local grapes, where the wine is sold etc. Instead, the trip simply consisted of drinking a glass of wine at three different bodegas, and nothing else. It was pleasant and fun, but could have been a lot more.

Diese Tour kann ich unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten einen Kleinbus mit 7 Personen. Es war alles super organisiert, die Verkostungen, der Wein, die Fahrt und viele Erklärungen zum Thema Wein und ebenso über Land und Leute. Bekommt von uns die Bestnote

Unser Guide war prima! Er hat uns viel Interessantes erzählt, uns wurde genügend Zeit zwischendurch gelassen, alles anzuschauen und auszutrinken. Der Preis erschien uns am Anfang sehr hoch, doch im Nachhinein gerechtfertigt bei den Weinpreisen der einzelnen Bodegas. Wir hatten viel Spaß, haben es genossen und können die Tour nur weiterempfehlen.

Comfortable and interesting. 8 in group, 4 couples. Really great guide, Yannik. Informative but not too much information and he was helpful in answering any additional questions from everyone. Learned about the island and geography as well as wine. Nice wine tastings, enough cheese nibbles to balance wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Took about 4 hours which was nice. Für mich war es ein super Ausflug, mit netter kleiner Gruppe und versiertem Guide zu Weingütern, die man auch alleine nicht entdeckt hätte. Viele gute Tipps und Infos für Leute, die die Insel schon kennen. Für mich hat das alles so gepasst und Spaß gemacht. Könnte mir nur vorstellen, dass manch anderer sich die Weinprobe anders vorstellt, daher evtl klar machen, dass es mehr um die Weingüter und deren Geschichte auch geht. Ansonsten vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

For £75 per head we expected decent transport, which unfortunately the van was not easy to get in and out of. the guide although very nice had no knowledge of the tour and was unable to answer any questions or give us any information about the wine we were tasting or how the wine was made. Etc etc.

Our guide, Jose-Manuel was excellent - his knowledge of the wines and the processes was excellent. It was also great to be in a small group of just 8 people. Only thing that could be improved I would suggest is to spend a bit longer in the tour round El Griffo, that felt a bit rushed.

On the plus side the guide was brilliant. But…..,Described as including a tapas lunch - which was what we got in April 2024. This time we got three tiny slivers of goats cheese, three crackers and half a dozen olives. So we paid £74 each for three half glasses of wine essentially. Not value for money and as a long time TUI customer, extremely disappointed and won’t book excursions again.

8 personer (plus guide) i en minibuss blev mycket trevligt. Guiden var bra och kunnig men i första hand var medresenärerna som gjorde det största intrycket. Det kan ju TUI inte göra mycket åt. I vårt fall blev det perfekt men det kan ju också bli tvärt om.

Reportage från en vinprovning: VIP-provning, Max 8 pers, vi var 4 + chaufför i en VW-buss. Chauffören köpte en pava vin och ställde fram till oss , sedan försvann han en kvart och jagade sedan på till nästa bodega. Efter 3 bodegor fick han bråttom hem (?). ?? Vi hade riktigt skoj men fick inte så mycket ny visdom. Betyg 3/5.

Przewodnik Yannic jest bezkonkurencyjny. To skarb, który nalezy pielegnowac. Podczas nastepnego pobytu na Lanzarote ponownie wybiore sie na te wycieczke, pod warunkiem, ze przewodnikiem bedzie Yannic. TUI powinna organizowac wiecej tego rodzaju wycieczek, np. po hodowlach kóz i wytwórniach kozich serów, najlepiej z Yannikiem, jako przewodnikiem.

Wir hatten einen tollen und sympathischen Guide, der viel erzählen konnte und sehr offen war. Die Abholung hat gut geklappt und es war besonders toll, dass wir nur eine kleine Gruppe (8 Personen) waren. Wir haben einiges gesehen und geschmeckt :), wobei wir nur 4 Weine probieren konnten und die "Tappas" nur etwas Käse, Oliven und Knäckebrot waren, hier hätten wir ein bisschen mehr erwartet, auch gerne mehr Weinproben für den Preis. Trotzdem ein schönes Erlebnis, das wir weiterempfehlen können.

Für unseren Reiseleiter Jannik geben wir 5 Sterne. Nun man wusste im Voraus wie so eine Tour verläuft. In einer kleinen Gruppe haben wir 3 Bodegas mit der Produktion und Weinmuseum besucht. Der Rotwein wurde uns nur einmalig angeboten. Statt versprochener Tapas gab es in einer Bodega streng abgezählte Oliven, Zwieback und Ziegenkäse. Die Tische in einer Bodega waren mit Müll und Essensresten von der Vorgruppe bedeckt, das Personal war freundlich aber schien uninteressiert zu sein.

Mooie bodegas en héérlijke wijnen geproeft en lekkere tapas gegeten. Onze gids Yannick wist veel te vertellen zowel over de bodegas als over de omgeving. We hadden iets te weinig tijd om alle winkeltjes en/of de workshops te bekijken. Verder leuke en gezellige tour gehad in een mooie omgeving.

Lanzarote wine has really progressed over the years and we got to learn a lot about new eco wine production techniques. Really nice wine in well established high end wine production facilities. We also enjoyed the tapas at the end by the ceased Manrique farmers boy statue. Great day out with very enthusiastic and knowlageble guide. Even the wine tasting as quality special reserve wines

Der Guide war super. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, dass wir nur in einer kleinen Gruppe unterwegs waren (6 Personen). Wir haben viele tolle Informationen erhalten (auf Deutsch und Englisch). Der Besuch der Weingüter war super und das Topas-Essen sehr lecker. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn wir in den beiden Weingütern nicht nur einen Wein probiert hätten. Statt einer ganzen Weinflasche für die Gruppe wären jeweils zwei kleine Gläser zwei verschiedener Weine besser gewesen.

Leo was such an enthusiastic tour guide and was so passionate about eco wine it would be impossible to have a bad time on this tour. Trip consisted of a trip to two bodega visits that produce eco-wine, sampling a different eco white wines at each. The last stop was a traditional tapas lunch with a glass of wine (picking from red, white or rose). We would have appreciated more than 3 glasses of wine but we had the option of buying a glass at each bodega. Overall highly recommend this tour!

La culture vinicole est très speciale et très interessant sur l'ile. Grace à notre super guide Leo, un enfant de Lanzarote, on a eu une experience qui a dépassée nos attentes. Passion and knowledge of the tour guide was amazing. He didn't make it just about wine, he also spoke about the history of the island and any points of interest we drove past. As nice as the little tapas options were, there wasn't a great selection, no fish or meat was a bit disappointing.

The scenery and the barbecue. My wife, a vegetarian was well catered for at the barbecue. A warning about route the bus took up the final volcano, it was daunting to frightening for some people, perhaps warn those of a more delicate disposition towards heights, precipitous drops etc.. Excellent driving.

Dit is nog eens een TOP excursie!!. Heel kleinschalig, onze groep bestond uit 7 personen. We werden rondgereden door een zeer enthousiaste en trotse gids. Leonardo Hernandez verteld in zeer begrijpelijk Engels alles over het eiland en de wijnen! De tapas was ook heerlijk en je krijgt genoeg tijd om alles te bekijken. Vooral de begeleiding maakte het dat we enorm genoten hebben. Je krijgt echt waar voor je geld.

Diesen Ausflug können wir sehr empfehlen. Es war sehr informativ, der Reiseleiter top. Es gab in 2 wekngütern je einen Wein zum probieren und im 3.Weingut einen Wein nach Wunsch und eine Kleinigkeit zu essen.(kanarische snacks/tapas)

Our Guide Leo, was exceptional, in the details, information of the wine from the vineyards we visited, history of the islands agriculture and the island, his homeland, his joy to to impart his knowledge to others makes the tour so enjoyable. Would highly recommend especially if Leo is conducting the tour.

The guide was really knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting. When we got picked up we were told by the guide we were 5 minutes late but we were actually 5 minutes early - Tui had not passed the message onto us to be picked up earlier, however we were made to feel like this was our fault. Only one taste of wine at the two vineyards, for £65 each I think it should include 2 at each. Also gluten free/vegetarian requirements not taken ahead of the trip.

Jannick our tour guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about island and the vineyards. Very enjoyable experience and nice small tour group. Only 7 on the tour so we could go at our own pace and ask as many questions as we liked.

This was a small group tour and there were 6 of us in total. The driver was very friendly and informative and knew a lot about the wine region (La Geria) for the tour. The three stops during the tour all had a wine experience (of course) with the final tapas as wine at the end - San Bartolomé. San Bartolomé restaurant was an experience in itself although after lunch we did not have as much time to look around as we would have liked

Wir hatten die Tour am Samstag mit einer kleinen Gruppe (6)…. einfach perfekt …Unser Guide ein lanzeroteño war einfach super …er war voller Motivation die Geschichte des Weines und der Insel wie auch den Umgang mit der Natur und Nachhaltigkeit mit viel Herzblut und Witz weiterzugeben !

Highly recommended! A great tour. We enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide Leo was very friendly, knowledgeable and he peppered our tour with very interesting facts. The wines we tasted were excellent and not at the cheap end of the range. The three bodegas offered superb service and the last one, a simple, but delicious tapas meal. The way they grow vines in this part of the world is like nothing we had encountered before and we will take home the memory of a marvellous experience.

Die Landschaft und die Weinberge waren sehr beeindruckend. Bei der Weinverkostung gab es jeweils nur ein Wein zur Probe. Die Auswahl der Tapas war er mäßig bis enttäuschend. Die Getränke bei der Verkostung waren minimiert auf ein Glas. Schade
