Questa gita in barca sul fiume Tempisque vi offre un assaggio del vasto Parco Nazionale di Palo Verde. Il fiume si estende per 144 km attraverso il parco ed è di gran lunga il più lungo della Costa Rica. Mentre navigate lungo le sue acque, la vostra guida vi indicherà la fauna selvatica, tra cui scimmie dalla faccia bianca, scimmie urlatrici, serpenti, iguane e pipistrelli. Cercate anche gli occhi dei coccodrilli che sbucano dalle acque torbide.È anche un paradiso per gli amanti del birdwatching. Nel parco sono stati avvistati più di 300 tipi di uccelli, tra cui fenicotteri, aironi, spatole, tucani e aquile. Visiterete anche una fattoria tipica e assaggerete una prelibatezza locale.

We paid to have availability of water, drinks and fruit which there were none. We were all hungry and thirsty so we had to back out of the "experience" tour so we could get back to the resort to eat and drink. The boat we rode in had many exposed wires and we had our 8-month-old granddaughter on that tour so we had to keep her away from all those risks. The boat captain was amazing and very knowledgeable despite speaking only spanish.

The river cruise wasn't worth the time nor money. It's 1.5 hour away from the resort and the cruise is about 45 minutes. Than another 1.5 hours back to the resort. The guide and boat driver were very nice. We did see 2 gators and lots of birds and monkeys. But not worth the time nor money. Would not recommend.

Thank you TUI for the Palo Verde River Ride on my families trip to Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica. I enjoyed the guide showing us the different types of bird species, crocodile sightings, closeness to whiteface monkey, Costa Rican Lunch with the pottery making session and the sugarcane demonstration/tasting. Booking was easy however I did receive an email stating my trip was for another day not agreed upon but it worked out the day my family showed up. Thanks again!!!

Our guide Carlos was fun, knowledgeable & made it a great experience viewing the wildlife. Both he & the bus driver ( sorry I forgot his name) stopped along the drive to show us macaws, a hawk, monkeys. The place we stopped for lunch & demonstrations of making sugar cane juice & pottery was interesting but we were getting hot & tired at that point & would've preferred skipping that. Otherwise a fun outing

The guide was excellent and the person driving the boat knew the best places to see the local wildlife. He called down the monkeys and pointed out bats roosting on trunks which we would never have seen.

With all such activities there is an element of luck as to what you see.our guide was brilliant and helped people get photographs of animals & birds using binoculars. It was lovely however to get out of the resort and have a gentle amble along the river. Shame that the two guides tried to outdo themselves.

Tagging along with avid birdwatchers from the Uk was fun and clearly the guide was right up there. Stopping at a local spot for lunch with the group would be a fine finish.

Overall thoroughly enjoyed the trip. However we were disappointed to find the visit to the ranch which we were told was included was on fact missed out. As was the taco making. We had a talk about the sugar cane instead and had a few sugar sweets. This was not as good as we expected.

Guide was fantastic - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We saw loads of wildlife. The Coyote Ranch visit was interesting but we felt that we spent a bit too much time there and would have been happy to cut that part of the trip short. Despite the trip description saying thst life jackets were included for the river ride, we weren't offered or provided any.

Particularly enjoyed the river cruise and the guides pointing out all of the wonderful wildlife. We were not expecting to then be taken to a sugarcane ranch, which was reasonably informative; but would have preferred more time on the river.

This trip was amazing just wish it had lasted longer as it was brilliant and so much to see. Our tour guide was lovely she spoke fantastic English and very informative would definitely recommend and we saw lots of crocodiles, monkeys and birds etc

Our guide Edwardo was friendly very informative and helpful. Took quite a while to get there as most of it was on a bumpy dirt road. Stopping at the sugar plantation for a loo break and refreshments was very welcome. The boat trip itself was very good and they turned the boat round several times so people on both sides of the boat could get photos. The length of the tour was just about right. But the seats on there were extremely uncomfortable. It would be much more preferable to go straight back to our hotel after this rather than go back to the sugar plantation. They did a short presentation but it was more like something for school kids. Everyone just wanted to leave. Overall though a good trip and saw plenty of crocodiles and wildlife.

All trips as far as I am aware go at 7.15. Breakfast at hotel starts at 7.00. Sports bar in hotel had sandwiches but these were very dry, We had one drink and could have had melon as part of the tour. If the breakfast buffet opened slightly earlier, even if it was s basic choice, this would have been much better or TUI could include breakfast as part of an excursion, On the boat a few people, myself included said they were thirsty. The boat driver went into a box and got s bottle of water which was noticed by the group. The guide picked up on this and asked if anyone would like a bottle, I believe that if the boat driver had not got s drink, we would not have done either, it was very hot and when on s boat we do not have the option to buy water, Water should be encouraged by the guide at all times. The trip itself was very enjoyable, both the sugar cane demonstration and boat ride On the boat both the driver and guide were very good in looking and identifying animals and birds, the guide was very informative. Pickups were on time and coach was nice, We would recommended this excursion.

Excellent half day. Experienced guide. On time with small group. Loved the farm and the river experience was amazing. Saw so much wildlife close up.. monkey'showker and white faced, crocodiles, iguanas, bird of paradise, herons , Jesus lizards and more !

The wildlife we saw was amazing. There was so much to see, to begin with it's hard to see, but you soon get used to looking and before you know it your seeing wildlife everywhere. You suddenly realise your in their home and your their guests. We were watching them, but they were watching us more. And the sounds of the wildlife was beautiful. Only one down side, as a treat, at the end, they stopped and took us to watch a demonstration of how sugar was once extracted from cane before machinery, this involved a bull tied up by its horns, and as much as the bull did look well cared for, with the bullring right next to us, and a rodeo with red rags hanging out of his pocket, i couldn't stop wondering what that bull may have been through or going to through. I know it's their culture and this was a in there eyes a nice thing to do and show us, but being from the uk, a nation of animal lovers, I didn't like it.
