Mount Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe and a true icon of Sicily. This is your chance to venture either 1,900 or 2,900 metres above sea level to check out the lunar-like landscapes of the volcano's craters.You'll be driven from Taormina up the slopes of Mount Etna, where – if you've chosen to go up to 2,900 metres – you'll continue further up the mountain to reach the main crater for a guided walk and some epic views. If you opt to stay at 1,900 metres, there's free time to explore the nature trails around the Silvestri Craters, along with souvenir shops, cafés and a small museum that tells the story of the mountain's past.Either way, you'll want your camera to catch shots of the snow-capped, steaming slopes of this giant.

Tog en hel dag i anspråk. Timslånga köer till kabinbana och bussarna uppe på Etna och därför hann vi inte gå runt vare sig på 1900 m eller vid övre delen av kabinbanan. Hann inte heller äta lunch. Intressant att gå runt på 2900 m höjd. Fick vänta länge på biljettrrna till kabinbanan. Enligt guiden för att de tryckte ut biljetterna en och en?? Stora grupper gick förbi oss! Absolut ingen förtur så nej tack till dagen☹️

Great trip, but timings were awful. Delayed by 30 mins at start with no knowledge of why (you insist on our emails and contact numbers but can’t update us with delay information!). So delayed by 30 mins due to a road accident and told we’d return at 1:15 instead of 12:30, only to leave at 1:45 because people returned so late to the bus. We got back to the bus station at 4:30 instead of 2:30! 2 hour delay! I appreciate there was an accident delaying the start but it just got worse after that!

Fantastisk sød guide og ganske fin oplevelse når man tænker på han ikke havde prøvet turen før. Vi kunne heldigvis selv finde ud af at komme rundt og havde en super fin oplevelse.

Förberedelse på vilken turistfälla det är. Om man pga av skäl inte kunde/ville följa med upp på toppen så finns inte mycket att fördriva tiden med. Det skulle kunna vara en annan tur som inte tar så himla lång tid, mycket dötid. Souvenirbutikerna innehåller alla samma souvenirer och det fanns ingen info man själv kunde förkovra sig i. En rekommendation att ta med eget toapapper är verkligen på sin plats. Ska man gå på toaletten är det bäst att göra det på betaltoaletterna där papper kan finnas.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Herr Fabio ist ein sehr guter und ein sehr angaschirter Reiseleiter. Seine Berichte waren lustig und informativ. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Het was duidelijk en goed georganiseerd, ook de reisleidster vertelde veel over de Etna en over de omgeving. Het was een bijzondere ervaring.

wandelen tussen muren van sneeuw op de flanken van de Etna is wel indrukwekkend en zeker een aanrader om achteraf thuis over te vertellen

Ein imposantes Erlebnis, für uns hat die Basistour 1900Meter völlig gereicht um das Vulkanfeeling zu erleben. Was man unbedingt machen muss die beiden angrenzenden Krater für 5€ pro Person. Tolle Bilder.

Gids vertelde veel. Jammer dat we op 2500m niet hoger konden. Nadat we uit de Unimog stapte (kabelbaan was in onderhoud) werden we aan ons lot overgelaten Had gedacht met een gids naar de top van de Etna te gaan

Site extraordinaire. Vaut la peine d'être vu mais quel dommage toute cette pollution de déchets partout ! De plus, il a fallu payer 5 euros supplémentaires par personne pour accéder à un cratère. Très belle vue (dépend du brouillard). Le transport jusque là n'a pas été facile (mais je souffre du mal des transports) : trajet ? État du car ? Chauffeur ? Pas de ventilation et car rempli.

Het is net alsof je in een filmdecor loopt, bijzonder om mee te maken. Echter waren we maar erg kort op het 2500m punt, mede vanwege wachttijden om naar boven te mogen. Ongeveer 30 min zijn we bovenop geweest. We konden niet hoger de vulkaan op vanwege slecht weer de dag voor de excursie. Gelukkig hadden we een gids die erg veel goede verhalen had tijdens de trip. Wij hadden verwacht meer zelf te moeten lopen, maar eigenlijk hebben we vooral gezeten.
