First up is a coastal tour of Cotubanama National Park, then you'll stop at a natural pool for a dip before heading to the beach for lunch and free time. We were the first country to protect manatees by law, and we have a turtle conservation programme here on the island, too.'After a relaxing cruise over to Saona, the sightseeing can begin in earnest. You'll cruise the shoreline of the Cotubanama National Park while your local guide points out the island wildlife. See the rocks of El Peñón, and then glide through the Catuano channel. Next, it's time to cool off in the azure water of the natural pools, formed by sandbanks in the open sea. The water is such a tempting shade of blue you won't be able to resist.Docking at one of Saona Island's fabulous beaches, you'll step off the boat for some beach time. There's the Caribbean for paddling, soft white sand to dip your toes in, and a volleyball pitch to play on. Or you could take the simplest option and just stretch out in the sun. De eerste stop bij het natuurzwembad was erg leuk en mooi (wel massaal). De stop op Saona was niet zoals ik had verwacht. Er stond enorm luide muziek op, ligbedjes stonden tegen elkaar aan en mochten niet verplaatst worden en er liepen gigantisch veel strandverkopers rond die je niet met rust lieten. Het strand was zeer massaal. De terugreis op de Catamaran was leuk, maar het animatieteam was opdringerig. Als je van relaxen houdt, is dit niet de ideale activiteit

Der Ausflug war toll. Als wir in Bayahibe angekommen sind, um mit dem Speedboot zu starten, mussten wir leider ca. 45 Minuten in der Sonne warten, bis unsere Gruppe endlich einsteigen konnte. Die Guides waren sehr nett und immer sehr bemüht. Saona ist wirklich traumhaft schön und als wir da waren nicht überlaufen. Natürlich kamen mit uns mehrere Boote an, aber es war nicht überfüllt. Das Mittagsbuffet war sehr gut. Insgesamt kann ich den Ausflug sehr empfehlen.

Didn’t like - picked up late. Waited 30 mins at halfway point awaiting coach Taken almost to Samoa by a large water taxi then had to paddle about in the water for an hour awaiting our turn to go to island. Went onto island told not to wander off told we would have around 2 hrs there. They try to sell you massages at £150 dollars but that would mean missing your lunch slot. No water available on trip please everyone take some with you. Told we could snorkel there and yes not worth it

No water on bus and on speed boat the bus driver and guide got water when we stopped at HQ the guide failed to introduce himself we had a disabled lady with us and we had to shout out to get the guide to slow down 3 times when getting from the bus to the boat I’ve been on this trip 5 times before and I’m afraid to say that this was as the worst experience I’ve had it’s a shame because the guide didn’t explain anything they didn’t hand out drinks onboard and it was supposed to be a sail boat No!

Slightly disappointed that was sold as unsuitable for children under 13 and there were 2 children under 5! Very busy and got constantly hassled for massages and to buy from the various sellers on Saona Island. Tour guide was excellent though

The guide was rude. The speed boat was NOT a speed boat we were packed like sardines with life jackets. No idea where was the national park??. We stood in sea for a bit before heading to island. Locals were vultures we were lucky it didn’t get violent. Supposedly all drinks and food included, came home starving and thirsty. Boat ride home was fun credit to staff on that day. Tui should NOT sell this trip.

Der Guide hatte die Gruppe super im Griff und sprach viele Sprache. Allerdings waren seine ersten Worte trinki trinki und shopping. Mit vielen Touristen haben wir gerechnet, so weit OK, aber dass wir auf einem Dico Boot sein werden und uns 8 Stunden Musik mit einer Lautstärke die einen Flieger als leises Gerät erscheinen lasst, damit nicht. Durch die Ohrhörer mit Nice Reduction konnte eine Gehörschaden verhindert werden. Nirgendwo steht etwas von Musik und schon gar nicht von extra lauter Musik.

Zu viel ,,upselling" Verkäufer auf dem Insel fast zu lästig. Total überteuerte Fotos Angebote. 150 Dollar für ein paar Fotos die nicht mal schön sind. Auf Rückreise nicht erwartete Stop in Suvenierladen. Direkt auf dem Insel sehr lange Wartezeit bis das Essen fertig war. Der Reiseleiter war sehr gut. Sympathisch und hat auch sehr viel Kenntnisse über der Ort selber. Die schiffbesatzung war sehr lustig und hat für gute Laune besorgt. Der Insel und Umgebung ist mega schön und eine Reise wert.

Our guide Oscar was very informative and nice. We enjoyed all aspects of the tour, although it did get crowded on the Island and there wasn’t much to do there although we expected that. The food was ok, and there was only rum and coke on offering drinks wise. The speedboat ride was fun, and the catamaran was also a nice end to the tour. There was a photographer taking pictures in the natural pool and on the island but they were quite expensive to buy, and out of our price range. Overall good fun

Journey to the boat took around 4 hours as had to change coaches due to over booking (guide claimed it was due to coach breaking down) . We were all squashed in the catamaran on the way to the island. Don't feel is was value for money. Spent 1.5 hours on the island. Not much to see. Very crowded and full of people.l pushing to sell you things.

Guiden Mesa va fantastisk Allt tog lång tid, vi ca hemma 12 timmar senare Maten va knappt värd att kalla mat Vi bokade med endast motorbåt, får ändå åka Katamaran hem vilket vi hade valt bort pga tid Rekommendera gärna kommande gäster att ta med badskor, gick knappt att gå ut i vattnet pga av en massa stenar och annat skräp Bussresan till och från hamnen tog sjukt mycket längre tid än det från början var sagt Allinclusive bar består endast av Rom och Cola

Byliśmy drugi raz na Saonie. Pierwszy raz w 2024 roku z Itaką. Bardzo chcieliśmy powtórzyć wycieczki Saonę, Samanę i Cocobongo. Rozczarowanie nastąpiło już na pierwszej wycieczce na Saonę i nie będę owijać w bawełnę, że kolejne, zaplanowane wycieczki przez nas odbyły się już przez inną firmę. Już wyjaśniam: Dominikana i przeżycie na tej wyspie to jedno i raj dla oczu, natomiast pani przewodnik i nasza rezydentka Patrycja to jedno rozczarowanie. Brak wiedzy i profesjonalizmu.

Guide was not very informative island was beautiful but lack of communication both ways and don’t feel it’s required to stop so long at the shop on the way back . Speedboat was overcrowded less numbers for a more comfortable ride esp with life jackets on. Catamaran on the way back felt the same and didn’t like the party vibe wanted more relaxed not loud music

Organisatorisch leider nicht gut, wir haben so viel Zeit mit warten verschwendet. Bei der Insel haben wir über eine halbe Stunde in der Sonne am Boot warten müssen damit uns ein kleineres Boot zur Insel bringt, dasselbe bei Abholung. Essen war schrecklich, auf der Insel wirst du alle 3 Minuten von den selben Verkäufern angesprochen. Es hätte besser kommuniziert werden können auf was wird gewartet / wie lange dauer

It was a very long day picked up 07:25 dropped od 20:00. Not impressed with buffet lunch.. Mid ocean swim stop brilliant Staff fantastic on boat and catamaran. At Island Sea shoes are essential to enter water as very much sharp shingle. Would I do again yes

Ich fande es sehr schade wie unorganisiert das ganze war und auch man hat nicht mal 5 min ruhe gehabt auf der Insel. Jemand der ruhe sucht sollte nicht dahin gehen und bitte bitte die nächsten gut auf Sonnenschutz schauen und je nach dem ein zweites T shirt.

This trip was not enjoyable at all. The travel time was 2 times what we were told, and we were totally disappointed with the experience on Soana Island - I feel like we did not even go to Soana Island. We were taken to a dirty crowded beach, full of people trying to sell us things. The food was terrible, the drinks were bad, the eating area was dirty and full of flies, the beach was crowded and there we not enough chairs for everyone.

The staff who picked us up and those that were on the boats were great, especially on the way home when they got involved with everyone up and encouraged us all to get up dancing. The food was okay but a little too basic, eg bread cut into thin slices rather than a bun, limited salad selection and pork with a lot of fat and bone, but there was plenty for everyone and it was well cooked

Der Tag war so wunderschön. Wir sind hier in unseren Flitterwochen und es war eine tolle Erfahrung. Die Insel ist soooo schön, das Personal mega freundlich! Essen und trinken lecker. Man hat sogar auf dem Boot Rum etc. richtig cool.

The trip was not clear how much of the day I would be on a coach. The “guided tour” was basic information but most annoying was how cramped the speed boat was. It was not safe as I was on a small bench with 4 adults as were all the others and there was not enough room to get the life jacket on. The catamaran return was the worst I have experienced. There were no mats and the netting was tiny , tied together and no one was brave enough to see if it held weight of an adult.

The Taxi driver at the start, drove incredibly dangerous.. pulling out head on, with cars coming the other way.. As you are an established holiday company, this was unexceptable.. Then the food was very average, with both of us now have stomach issues.. Its now 1950, and my wife has gone to bed with stomach cramps.. When we met at the checkpoint, for the last part of the journey, my wife refused the minibus home. So did another couple. Therefore we got a 40 dollar Uber home.. very disappointed..

Oppaamme (Obama) oli aivan loistava ja muukin henkilöstä todella hyvä. Erittäin kaunis paikka -- loistava kokemus. Ainoa ehkä pieni miinus, päivä oli todella pitkä ja ihmisiä haettiin monesta erinpaikkaa kyytiin, joka vaikutti aikatauluun.

die Tour begann pünktlich mit der Abholung im Hotel. In Bayahibe wurde man zu Gruppen zusammen geschlossen. Allerdings dauerte das mit fast 1 Stunde zu lange, hier ist in der Organisation noch viel Luft nach oben. Der Guide sprach deutsch, wie in der Buchung erwünscht. Da ich die einzige Deutsche war hat er für mich alleine alles erklärt, das fand ich sehr gut. Die Fahrten mit Katamaran und Schnellboot waren sehr schön. Das Essen auf der Insel war schmackhaft und reichlich im Karibikstil.

We enjoyed the island but would have liked to stay longer. It makes it less enjoyable being approached constantly to buy things and for massage. Boat crew and guide were great. Photos at blue lagoon way overpriced and no cheaper options.

C’est la 3eme fois que je fais cette excursion. J’ai trouvé la plage moins jolie que les deux dernières fois, dans le sens où pour la baignade ce n’était pas agréable car caillouteuses. Faire payer des piña colada à 20€ pour deux personnes, je trouve cela très chers, au vu de l’augmentation des prix des excursions qui ne font que augmenter avec les années… Le rapport qualité prix baisse avec les années, c’est dommage !

A ilha Saona é um paraíso. Gostamos muito. De resto, o passeio foi passado em deslocação. Uma ********** de carro para chegar ao porto, mais um tempo considerável à espera de embarcar. A viagem no motomaran foi agradável. Tempo nas piscinas naturais foi mínimo. O mesmo na ilha Saona onde deu tempo para dar um mergulho, comer, dar outro mergulho para depois ter uma viagem longuíssima de catamaran mais uma ********** de carro de regresso ao hotel. This review is not against the local guides, but how it was sold to us by Tui: 1. Told it would take 2 hrs to get to the harbour, it took 3hrs! 2. One way speedboat (you will get soaked!) one way catamaran 3. Catamaran is very small, no lounging areas, no netting to lay on, and just enough seating space with a small space for dancing 4. Food wasn’t very nice & pina coladas were extra charge Comparing this trip to other catamaran trips done in other countries, it is not worth the money.

We had an amazing experience visiting Saona island. Our tour guide Ruben was really knowledgeable and nice. We made a stop to the natural pool followed by the stop in Saona, where we had our pictures taken and had a nice time to swim. Lunch was also tasty and fresh. On the way back we partied two hours on the catamaran with open bar and good music. We stopped to buy some souvenirs on the way home. I recommend the experience!

The running of the day went smoothly, It was good to have Ruben with us if we needed help. The speed boat was amazing and the catamaran trip was good apart from there not being enough seats for everybody so was an uncomfortable journey back. The island is beautiful but we weren’t warned about rocks in the sea and my husband hurt his foot. The thing that ruined the day was the photographers, be warned they conned us to buy photos, they are on boat too TUI shouldn’t allow this.

Die Insel an sich war schön, das Speedboat auch. Katamaran war katastrophal, im Hafen haben wir fast eine Stunde warten müssen. Vom Guide Ruben sollte man bei seiner Prüfung für die Lizenz etwas genauer hinschauen. Absolut lustlos, hat sich für nichts interessiert und war froh wenn man in in Ruhe gelassen hat. Katastrophe der Mann.

Mooi eiland om te bezoeken, wel heel erg veel bootjes die erheen gaan. Heen met een speedboot die veel te vol gepropt wordt, je zit strak tegen elkaar aan en je ziet haast niets. Ook terug met de catamaran ook teveel mensen erop. Dat is jammer.

Tout etait parfait pour nous . C était magnifique. Seul bémol c est qu il faut toujours donner des pourboires . Aller sur le bateau retour sur le bateau . Au bar sur l île . Pour le chauffeur de bus .

Die Busfahrt hin war sehr lange ( 2Std.). Die Schokofabrik auf der Rückfahrt braucht man nicht. Sonst schön. Unser Guide hat alles in Spanisch und Englisch kommentiert. Auf Nachfrage auch in Deutsch. Schöne Insel und die Rückfahrt war schön. Sollte man gesehen haben. Preis ist i.O.

Reisleiding kon nauwelijks Engels. Lange rit naar de boot toe. Veel wachten. Vanaf de boot was het leuk. Wij troffen regen op Saona. Er was niet veel keus in eten en drinken. Smaakte wel goed. Terugweg op de catamaran was gezellig met muziek en dansen. De busreis terug weer lang en oncomfortabel.

The trip was fantastic all transfers were great ,food was enjoyable the whole experience was good . The guide wasn't great he slept a lot lying on people's seats and on the floor . His was just in the way taking up valuable space . Also he kept going on about his tips walking up and down making everyone feel awkward. We had a problem with up point the hotel didn't let us on their hotel grounds to be collected or dropped off. More pick up points are needed which are outside hotel grounds.

I thought the trip was great, but sick and tired of constant upselling, beach hawkers and people asking for tips. For example our guide said that our photo would be taken before getting on the boat for ID purposes - it wasn’t at all, it was to put the photo on a bottle of local brew for selling to us later. I thought we’d escape this with a TUI tour - but no!

Stranden är mycket bättre på hotellet än på målet. Lunchen på målet var inte mycket att hurra för. Båtresorna, ön tor, sköttes av arroganta tonåringar som spelade musik, inget fel på valet, men i 90 till 100 dB! Jo, vi mätte med mobilapp. I 2 timmar vardera riktning! Trots att vi bad dem minska. Arrogant och nonchalant. Sammantaget: Inget som var värt en krona, hade varit bättre att stanna kvar på hotellet och slippa "utflykten".

Most of time was travelling to the port, at the island we have only couple of hours to enjoy which is not enough as everything was in the hurry. When we switch boats captain stealen my wife's expensive crocks when we asked tour guy Victoriano "Obama" he never try to claim them back so she walk on bear foot into the bus through the town. There was a big push for tips everywhere you move even when you give one they want more. I would not recommend this experience distasteful behaviour.

Honestly an amazing trip from start to finish just book it! Obama our tour guide is an absolute credit to TUI he is so knowledgeable and kind. Amazing boat staff and a truly beautiful island. Make sure to bring cash for little bits you may want to buy on the island - the fees pina colada is unreal! Only complaint is it is a slight wait to get to the coach park and wait for the coach but still worth it!

Unser Guide Oskar war sehr freundlich und konnte alles auf mehreren Sprachen vermitteln. Die Anreise mit dem Boot war sehr spaßig, mit guter Musik und ein paar Getränken. Die Insel selber ist wunderschön, das Essen vor Ort ist sehr einfach und nichts besonderes.

We really liked the service provided and our tour guide Mota was great. The seller Hector also provided all information for the day. I know the price is a bit pricier than other on the street but you get what you paid.

Wyjazd zostal zorganizowany na sile w deszczu. Dojechalismy na wyspe cali mokrzy. Obiad na wyspie nie nadawal sie do zjedzenia poza ryzem. Wszedzie przy obiedzie biegalo stado much. Przydalismy sie 4 razy. Moze bylo niespokojne. Zabrano nas z póltorarocznym dzieckiem i nas nie ostrzegl, ze beda az takie niedogodnosci. Nie wskazano ze przy plazy sa ogromne kamienie, które rania nogi. I ze nalezy zabrac Obuwie do wody. Organizator nastawiony wylacznie na zysk, zupelnie nie pomysla o komforcie

Het was een goed georganiseerde reis, met goede verzorging (drinken, drank en buffet). De reisleider (Obama) was deskundig en sprak veel talen met zeer goede beheersing (zelfs Nederlands!). Het strand Saona was prachtig.

We absolutely loved this trip & I felt compelled to write a review considering how many negative ones there are! The island is absolutely beautiful, the coach trip is around 2 hours from Royalton Punta Cana which is absolutely fine given where the island is in comparison (I can’t believe people complained about that). The guide was funny, spoke several languages and shared lots of Dom Rep facts along the way. Food was amazing, this is one of the best excursions we’ve done! Thank you very much!

Enjoyed the trip ,soana Island is beautiful and worth the visit .have to bare in mind coach journeys which makes it a near 12 day . Plied with plenty of free rum and coke on the boats (no doubt to help tips) but that was fine and enjoyable

The trip is advertised as relaxing, the boat was over crowded, everyone was packed together. The was an obvious issue with the boat. The staff appeared to be covering it up. Whilst Ruben was very good, it was very stop start, I felt rushed in to waiting around. The bar on the beach had two staff for multiple boats, drinks were served in tiny paper cups, so the que for the bar was constant.

Fantastic day out. Really well organised on Saona as very high volumes of people yet we were allocated our own area so didn’t seem busy. A bit chaotic trying to find bus to get home in Bayahibe.

- 12h sind zu lang von Abholung vom Hotel bis zur Rückkehr ins Hotel - zu viele Zwischenstopps zum Kaufen - schlechte Organisation, Sprit auf dem Boot war alle, Passagierin hat sich ständig übergeben - Qualität des Essens auf der Insel Saona war unterdurchschnittlich

Not a good trip for kids. Adults were plied with alcohol, music blared out and women were encouraged to dance. I did not sign up for a booze cruise.

Picked up from hotel at 09-05 15 mins to pick boat up didn’t get on boat till 10-30 boat ride 2 hours to a shallow bit of sea fir 20 mins at which the photographers got off boat to pester you for photos which when got to the island then wanted £100 for 30 photos to be download to your phone got to island hung around for 15 mins for dinner big que food ok then got bombarded by locals offering massages for 20 mins nonstop actually only spent 1 hour 20 mins actually relaxing on beach very overcrowc

The island is beautiful, the boat rides would be enjoyable if not for the staff constantly thrusting tip jars in your face and if the guide ever explained anything in English. Being taken to a shop and left their for over an hour for no reason other than the tour guide to earn a commission is disgusting treatment for holiday makers. The food was terrible Do better tui
