Once an important and prosperous city, Lindos is ancient Greece to a tee. Explore this history-steeped seaside village with an optional, interactive Acropolis tour, bringing treasures to life with the Lindos 3D app. ‘I'm particularly passionate about guiding in Lindos, one of the oldest acropolises in Greece. I love strolling through the maze of whitewashed streets, especially stopping by the Captain's House and seeing its beautiful, pebbled mosaic floor,' says Fotini, one of our guides.As you approach Lindos, there's no mistaking the mountaintop fortress of the Acropolis, perched more than 120 metres above the sea. It crowns a headland whose slopes are covered in trees, the whitewashed homes of the village. Don your audio headset and let your local expert take you through narrow, cobbled streets, spotting dinky chapels and gleaming Orthodox churches along the way. The interior of the Church of the Holy Virgin is lavishly decorated in frescoes and icons. Along the way, you'll stop off for a drink in the heart of the village, at a family-run business.Such was the importance of Rhodes and Lindos throughout the centuries, that the Knights of St John erected walls in the 13th-century to protect the citadel. I would definitely recommend! The tour was excellent and Lindos Acropolis is an amazing site well worth a visit. Stefan our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The early morning start was worth it to beat the heat and crowds. The steps up to the Acropolis are quite precarious with some sheer drops, but we managed OK with three children (youngest 5yrs). May be helpful to include a map/information on how to find your own way back down the hill and through the town to the bus.

Überteuerte Abzocke. Der Guide betreute uns nicht mal eine Stunde. Er ging mit uns nur auf die Akropolis, den Rest von Lindos sollten wir allein erkunden. Die gesamte Tour dauerte 4 Stunden. Ich frag mich wofür ich 70 € bezahlt habe. Absolut enttäuschend und unverschämt.

Lindos est un incontournable sur l'île de Rhodes. La guide Maria était très bien. Mais comme nous sommes des personnes âgées, nous l'avons abandonnée avant la montée à l'Acropole et avons terminé en visite libre. On a largement le temps de tout voir.

Der Guide war gut seine erklärungen waren top und ausführlich. Was ich auch gut fand das man in Lindos ein getränk auf Kosten von Tui bekommen hat. Nicht so schön fand ich das der Guide erst so kurz vor Lindos einstieg und so halt die erste Stunde fahrt und letzte Stunde fahrt stille im Bus herschte man nichts mitbekam. Auch das der guide dann an der kasse auf die wenigen wartete die entschieden ohne Akropolis zu buchen. hätte es besser gefunden wenn er dann weiter gegangen wäre

Sehr professionelle und kompetente Betreuung durch Reiseleiter Steffen. Kopfhörer konnte sowohl für linkes oder rechtes Ohr genutzt werden 👍 . Die frühe Besichtigungszeit war optimal, da ab 10 Uhr Lindos und Akropolis bereits mit Touristen überlaufen ist.

Gut organisiert, wir mussten zwar früh aufstehen, hatten aber bei der Besichtigung der Akropolis keine Wartezeiten. Eine Stunde später kamen die Busse mit den Passagieren der Kreuzfahrtschiffe.

Les explications étaient sommaires mais suffisantes. Le groupe était bien trop grand pour pouvoir tout entendre avec l'audio guide. Le bus était plein, plus une seule place de libre. On a eu l'impression qu'il avait été chargé au maximum pour être sûr que l'excursion soit rentable. Boisson gratuite à aller chercher dans une petite boutique "de la part de Tui," mais en réalité toute le monde y allait et pas moyen d'entrer dans la boutique. Bref, intéressant mais on ne reste que des touristes.

Massentourismus pur! Komplett überteuert und Lindos ist komplett überfüllt. Hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Wer keinen Massentourismus mag sollte sich diesen Ausflug besser sparen. Wer Lindos besuchen möchte dann besser wohl eher in den Abendstunden privat.

Lindos is very nice but it took 2 hours to get there because of too many pick ups along the way leaving not much time there. Then another 2 hours to drop off on the way back. Poor value for money as most of the time was spent travelling

Der Besuch der Akropolis war super, tolle Reiseleitung (Maria mit der Sonnenblume) sie hat viele und gute Informationen gegeben. Leider war im Anschluss nur sehr wenig Zeit ca. 1 Stunde um den Ort Lindos zu erkunden, Restaurants zu besuchen und gemütlich etwas zu essen war somit leider nicht möglich. Es war nur ein Halbtagesausflug... wir wurden vom Tui-Mitarbeiter im Hotel anders datüber informiert.

De trappen zijn lastig begaanbaar maar wat ik niet wist is dat er geen leuning was, je kon je nergens aan vast houden en naast de trap was niets, daar zou je zomaar een paar meter naar beneden kunnen vallen. Zeker bij drukte op de trap, voor mensen met hoogtevrees is dit toch wel een dingetje. Ik ben maar tot de helft gegaan, ik vond het doodeng. Verder echt een top excursie

vlgs de APP 49 € compleet ( bus , gids en toegang acropolis ) bij boeking bij TUI vertegenwoordiger IBRAHIM in het hotel 69 € ( 138 € voor twee personen - ipv prijs APP 98 € ) welk is juiste prijs . dan bleek nog bij navraag aan Gids boven 65 j toegangsprijs 10€ ipv 20€ !!!!. gids was TOP !!!!!! ganse uitstap PRACHTIG !! zeker een aanrader ,trappen zijn goed toegankelijk .

Un chauffeur de bus qui a bien contrôler avant de monter dans le bus. Un guide exceptionnel avec beaucoup d'explications de la vie sur Rhodes et sur Lindos et l'acropole. Le site est remarquable.

Der Fußweg zur Akropolis ist gefährlich: Wenige Geländer, hohe Freitreppen, glatter Boden. Darauf und auf die Erfordernis, gutes Schuhwerk zu tragen, sollte bei der Buchung hingewiesen werden.

Coach on time for pick.up from hotel. Great driver. Tour guide George was very nice, pleasant and knowledgeable. He was very approachable and took time to answer questions, his English was very good too. The price was ok, maybe a little on the expensive side for the distance travelled, 100 euro for 2 people then additional 40 euro for admission to acropolis ( i appreciate this is charge for the ticket) a little more time in Lindos would have been better. However overall the experience was good

Der Transfer hat super geklappt, Maria hat uns viel interessantes erzählt, Lindos mit seinen kleinen verwinkelten Gassen hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Tour war nicht so lange und Maria hat uns wunderbar während der Tour betreut

I enjoyed the tour, there are lot of steps, take that into consideration. it’s worth it, the views are stunning . The town is gorgeous and plenty of shops. The shuttle bus from the square to the car park is great if your legs ache.

Safety - families with young children should be aware of no hand rail with big drops. Also the steps are lethal when wet walking in the streets and down the steps with small pebbles. My daughter slipped and fell badly. She was covered in bruises on her arms and hands, legs/knees and her bottom. She was wearing trainers at the time.

The guide was excellent, interesting and very knowledgeable. The 7 am starting time for a half day trip seamed very early but we appreciate that in the hotter summer months this would be necessary to avoid climbing the Acropolis in dangerously high temperatures.

Ein Guide und ca. 60 Leute geht nicht. Der Guide ist super, aber er kann auf nichts eingehen, da zu viele Leute. Wegen der vielen Leute stimmt auch das Preis/ Leistung-Verhältnis nicht. Deshalb auch die Abwertung. Am Guide liegt es nicht!
