Once an important and prosperous city, Lindos is ancient Greece to a tee. Explore this history-steeped seaside village with an optional, interactive Acropolis tour, bringing treasures to life with the Lindos 3D app. ‘I'm particularly passionate about guiding in Lindos, one of the oldest acropolises in Greece. I love strolling through the maze of whitewashed streets, especially stopping by the Captain's House and seeing its beautiful, pebbled mosaic floor,' says Fotini, one of our guides.As you approach Lindos, there's no mistaking the mountaintop fortress of the Acropolis, perched more than 120 metres above the sea. It crowns a headland whose slopes are covered in trees, the whitewashed homes of the village. Don your audio headset and let your local expert take you through narrow, cobbled streets, spotting dinky chapels and gleaming Orthodox churches along the way. The interior of the Church of the Holy Virgin is lavishly decorated in frescoes and icons. Along the way, you'll stop off for a drink in the heart of the village, at a family-run business.Such was the importance of Rhodes and Lindos throughout the centuries, that the Knights of St John erected walls in the 13th-century to protect the citadel. Perfekte Uhrzeit um Lindos und die Akropolis zu erkunden. Als wir auf der Akropolis fertig waren und den Weg zur Stadt gingen war die Warteschlange für die Akropolis bereits ewig lang. Hier hat sich das sehr frühe Aufstehen definitiv gelohnt.

Goed: goede combinatie qua activiteiten Slecht: De gids dat wij hadden was heel neerhalend naar ons toe. Zo werden we neergekeken op het feit dat we ons oortje van het audioapparatuur niet meteen droegen. Hierdoor kregen we opmerkingen in groep. Daarnaast vond ze het niet fijn dat we ons ticket voor de acropolis niet op voorhand hadden geboekt. Dit hadden wij vooraf fout bekeken.

Es wäre hilfreicher wenn man vorher erwähnen würde das man bis zur Akropolis knapp 300 Treppen steigen muss und es ziemlich anstrengend ist, wenn man gesundheitlich nicht so fit ist Da es schon ein zügiges gehen ist. Dazu das es Treppen gibt die ohne Sicherheit sind Des weiteren wäre es schön wenn man mindestens 1 Stunde mehr vor Ort hätte bis zur Rückfahrt, besser zwei. Sonst ist es ein gehetze zurück zum Bus zu kommen, wenn man sich noch etwas in den Geschäften umschauen möchte Bus kam zu spät

Beim Verkauf der Tour wurde etwas von einer Hotelankunft von 17:00 mitgeteilt. Letztlich waren wir zur Mittagszeit schon wieder im Hotel, also war's nicht wie beworben ein Tagesausflug. Die Tourbegleitung von Maria war excellent!!! Sie war sehr gut zu verstehen und hat die Truppe toll geführt!

Der Guide hat den Reisenden Angst vor dem Weg zur Akropolis gemacht. Beispielhafte Aussage "so viele Stufen, wir werden uns oben nicht alle wiedersehen. Leider mussten wir uns daraufhin aufteilen. Die Eintrittskarten zur Akropolis konnten hierdurch nicht eingelöst werden und sind verfallen. Bei der Buchung im Hotel durch die TUI Kontaktperson würde keine Anmerkung darüber gemacht. Es wurde nur gesagt das dieser Ausflug für Personen mit Behinderungen nicht möglich ist.

Sehr guter und freundlicher Busfahrer Alexander und eine ausgezeichnete Fremdenführerin Maria mit einem gewaltigen Wissen machten den Ausflug zum Vergnügen. Außerdem noch genügend Freizeit um Lindos zu erkunden. Wir waren letztes Jahr in Athen, um die Akropolis zu besuchen, die Führung war schlecht, und wir wurden zu Silberhändlern und ein Geschäft geführt, Akropolis in Kurzform. 5 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 für Maria und Alexander und TUI auf Rhodos Robert und Sabine aus Tirol/Österreich

Dieser Ausflug ist absolut empfehlenswert. Reiseleiter Steffen hat sich wunderbar um die Gruppe gekümmert und alles bestens erklärt. Man merkte ihm die Leidenschaft für diese Insel an. Die Busfahrt selbst war sehr angenehm. Dieser Ausflug ist für Kleinkinder und Menschen mit Handycap nicht geeignet.

Unser Guide Steffen war super. Sehr informativ. Die Tour am Vormittag war genau richtig, mittags/nachmittags wäre es sehr heiß gewesen. Die freie Zeit war ausreichend zum Shoppen usw. Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug.

We boeken een excursie met Nederlandse reisleiding maar krijgen uiteindelijk een reisleider die dmv vertaal app communiceert. Vervolgens valt het apparaat regelmatig weg waardoor verhaal moeilijk te volgen is en de vertaling liet vaak te wensen over. Verder vonden we het dorpje tegenvallen en is de oude stad va. Rhodos dan gezelliger en leuker om te bezichtigen dan Lindos

Unser Guide Maria (die Maria mit dem Sonnenblumenschirm (!!! wichtig), war eine hervorragende Reiseleitung. Sehr engagierter Reiseleiter, der viele Informationen kurzweilig vermittelte und die Reisegruppe sehr gut betreute. Lindos und die Akropolis an sich haben uns nicht sehr begeistert. Aufgrund der wenigen Attraktionen auf Rhodos und der immensen Urlauberzahlen ist der Ort natürlich hoffnungslos überlaufen. Auch waren unsere Erwartungen aufgrund der Aussage, es handele sich um die schönste Akropolis nach Athen, zu hoch.

Ein unvergesslicher Vormittag! Steffen hat uns mit spannenden Informationen über Lindos, die Akropolis und der Insel begeistert. We had a wonderful guide who had lots of interesting information on the drive to and from Lindos. Unfortunately Lindos itself was already very busy once we had arrived. We were picked up at 7.05am and didn't arrive until 8.45am. We then had to walk down a very steep hill down to the Town Square. We could already see a queue of people climbing up to the Acropolis despite being told we would beat the queues. I did not feel safe climbing up with the crowds and opted to stay in Lindos instead

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the journey. He took his time to ensure everyone understood him and was open to questions at anytime. As there was a lot of walking and a steep climb, could I suggest a warning notice and also to make people with baby buggies aware these can't be easily taken up there.

We were very disappointed with this tour. The in hotel rep told us the journey would be around an hour, in reality it took over 2 hours each way. The group was too large for the guide who had to complete the tour in multiple languages. I felt the guide did an excellent job with very difficult circumstances. Lindos it self was very pretty but so busy that it wasnt enjoyable.

We were picked up on time. The guide was able to tell us about Rhodes as we travelled to collect other guests. On route to Lindos we were issued out tickets and an ear piece to allow our guide to tell us about the acropolis. Really interesting and informative. Then we had a bit of free time to explore the village before returning to our hotel. Really good tour.

Der Reiseleiter war sehr kompetent und hat interessant über die Geschichte und über Land un Leute berichtet. Der Busfahrer hat uns sicher gefahren. Der Ausflug war morgens früh, sodass man auch noch bequem duch die engen Gassen von Lindos schlendern konnte.

I would definitely recommend! The tour was excellent and Lindos Acropolis is an amazing site well worth a visit. Stefan our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The early morning start was worth it to beat the heat and crowds. The steps up to the Acropolis are quite precarious with some sheer drops, but we managed OK with three children (youngest 5yrs). May be helpful to include a map/information on how to find your own way back down the hill and through the town to the bus.

Sehr netter Führer. Hat viel erklärt und uns das Land und die Geschichte des Landes näher gebracht. Der Busfahrer ist sehr umsichtig gefahren. Sehr angenehm.

Überteuerte Abzocke. Der Guide betreute uns nicht mal eine Stunde. Er ging mit uns nur auf die Akropolis, den Rest von Lindos sollten wir allein erkunden. Die gesamte Tour dauerte 4 Stunden. Ich frag mich wofür ich 70 € bezahlt habe. Absolut enttäuschend und unverschämt.

Lindos est un incontournable sur l'île de Rhodes. La guide Maria était très bien. Mais comme nous sommes des personnes âgées, nous l'avons abandonnée avant la montée à l'Acropole et avons terminé en visite libre. On a largement le temps de tout voir.

Mit dem Guide Mitarbeiter, selber Archäologe, war es eine aufklärende und ganz hervorragende Fahrt nach Lindos und auf die Akropolis, wir können diesen Ausflug sehr empfehlen.

Der Guide war gut seine erklärungen waren top und ausführlich. Was ich auch gut fand das man in Lindos ein getränk auf Kosten von Tui bekommen hat. Nicht so schön fand ich das der Guide erst so kurz vor Lindos einstieg und so halt die erste Stunde fahrt und letzte Stunde fahrt stille im Bus herschte man nichts mitbekam. Auch das der guide dann an der kasse auf die wenigen wartete die entschieden ohne Akropolis zu buchen. hätte es besser gefunden wenn er dann weiter gegangen wäre
