Als je de stad wilt ontvluchten en wat meer van IJsland wilt zien, is deze tocht ideaal. Je maakt kennis met de zuidkust van het land, waar donderende watervallen, vulkanen met besneeuwde toppen en een grimmige kustlijn klaar liggen.Je maakt een paar stops bij de grootste watervallen van het gebied, Seljalandsfoss en Skogafoss, waar je genoeg tijd hebt om foto's te maken. Eyjafjallajökull maakt ook deel uit van het programma.De vulkaan die in 2010 uitbarstte, is tegenwoordig een toonbeeld van sereniteit en ligt rustig te slapen onder een enorme laag ijs en sneeuw. Het echte hoogtepunt van de dag is echter Vik. Dit enorme strand is bedekt met zwarte kiezels en heeft vreemde en wonderlijke basaltrotsen.

Great
All collected at pick up point with signage on bus indicating trip . Some company didn’t really have signage for what trip they were going , and lots of different trips all go from same bus stop .
Guide was brilliant very knowledgeable and informative

We booked this trip via the app prior to arriving at resort. We arrived at the designated bus stop at 07.45 for a 8am pick up - waited 1.5hours in the cold for the bus which did not turn up. We have lodged a complaint as were looking forward to the trip very much and were very disappointed. This was a day wasted whilst we were on holiday and we paid for an alternative trip to do something else but this was very costly. We are still awaiting a reply from TUI for our refund and compensation

The weather was awful with blizzards. This meant we couldn’t see the beach at Vik. Driving conditions were terrible and I’m surprised the tour went ahead. The guide was lovely. We had a large family party who followed their own time keeping which was annoying especially as some people on the bus had to return for another trip. It was still an amazing experience but I think we will have to return to see the beaches properly.

Maybe you could lengthen the day so that you can have more time in the three locations and a shorter lunch could help with this too.

Guide was very knowledgeable and even added in an extra stop off for us to see the glacier. The sights were stunning. Would of liked a little more time in each place on the stop to be able to take more of the surroundings in but understand there is a time constraint too.

The driver who was also our tour rep was so full Of knowledge- he was friendly and polite and always there to help and guide us if we needed it. The views of the waterfall were outstanding

The trips were excellent especially the very informative guide called Berger who was a real character. Tui kept me well informed throughout the holiday with daily texts on the status of the next trip. Would I go again - yes please.

Lots of things to see on the tour. We were lucky in that we had a beautiful day with blue skies that made the pictures all the more beautiful. Maria was a wonderful guide, very knowledgable and made the trip great fun ??

Great
No toilets on the coach despite the 2 hour journeys. Toilet was locked and could not be used. Guide was excellent. Tour was 17 pounds cheaper per person if booked in resort which was disappointing. Beautiful scenery and waterfalls.
