Qué esperar
Ruinas históricas, playas y baños en cuevas subterráneas hacen de ésta una mañana llena de acción y descubrimientos. Tras una visita guiada por Tulum, conocerá una comunidad maya tradicional. Además, podrá darse un chapuzón en un cenote. Según Benito, uno de nuestros guías locales, "la mayor parte de Tulum data de los dos siglos anteriores a la colonización española, por lo que es la última instantánea de una civilización condenada al fracaso". Entre las muchas cosas que aprenderá está el simbolismo que hay detrás de las deidades talladas en los templos".En primer lugar, explore los restos de la ciudad maya de Tulum. Su guía experto le mostrará los templos de los Frescos, del Dios Descendente, de los Vientos y muchos más. Y luego está la pirámide de El Castillo, cuya ubicación en lo alto de un acantilado con vistas al Caribe la convirtió en un faro. Hoy en día, está hecha para Instagram: es el lugar más fotografiado de la Riviera Maya. Gustavo, otro de nuestros guías locales, afirma: "Tulum es el equilibrio perfecto entre cultura y naturaleza; basta con ver todas las iguanas que hay por allí. Los antiguos mayas lo apreciaban, y cada zona representaba uno de los elementos: tierra, agua, viento y fuego".A continuación, visitaremos un poblado maya y conoceremos a algunos miembros de la comunidad, así como sus tradiciones y costumbres, antes de terminar con un baño en un cenote. Estos pozos de agua dulce eran sagrados para los antiguos mayas. Un poco de snorkel en esta caverna sagrada es la manera ideal de redondear su experiencia.

The whole experience was very good however, we felt that TUI could have provided some important information up front … namely that certain items could not be taken into Tulum, in particular, single use bottles of water. We didn’t know about this until our guide informed us shortly before arriving at Tulum. This meant we were either forced to buy a refillable bottle at Tulum or not drink during our tour. Had we known up front, we could have taken the refillable water bottle we already had.

Pick up very prompt. Lovely welcome from guide and driver. Felt safe on roads. Mayan ruins at Tulum beautiful, helped as guide very knowledgeable abd told good stories to help us understand more about Mayans and their communities. Mayan village a nice touch. Good fun overall.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. We requested an English guide but it was a bilingual group and she mainly spoke Italian. It was very annoying having to listen to two languages. A long journey with several pick ups.

het was een interessante plek, leuke weetjes. mooi. ook leuk de combinatie met het uitstapje naar het maya dorp, om te zien hoe vroeger werd geleefd. even afkoelen in de mooie cenote. Een afwisselend programma zonder een hele lange dag onderweg te zijn. Wij vonden het geslaagd!

The excursion is lovely. It starts with a lovely guided tour of the national park and the ruins, then you get some time off to enjoy it by yourself and take all the photos, then it goes to a Mayan community where you make your own tacos, and enjoy some local drinks and snacks, then a swim in the cenote which is stunning. Water and a snack is provided. If you don’t have breakfast before, bring some food with you as snacks are limited. Overall great excursion for 1/2 day!

The guide was helpful but we felt there could have been more information given about the Tulum sight. During our free time we overheard other guides giving a lot more details about the site. The timings that were given were poor and weren’t made clear to everyone in the group that they needed to keep to them.

le guide Augustino est très bien, parle bien le français. les ruines de TULUM sont fantastique, le village maya avec confection des tacos et une ********** expérience et la cénotes est petite mais très belle. je recommande cette excursion.

Visitors should be advised to bring a refillable bottle of water as disposable plastic is not permitted. We were rushed at the beginning of our visit and had to make a quick purchase of a refillable water bottle. The shop charged 608 pesos which has come through my bank account as £26.90! This is a disgusting amount to charge. Why doesn’t TUI advise us of this suggestion along with ‘take a towel, sun block etc’? Tour guide very knowledgeable and friendly.

The trip was sold as a half day as we had plans at about 3pm on the day. The trip actually lasted from 8 am until nearly 4pm. So nearly 8 hours. This wasn’t helped by the fact that someone left a bag at the cenote, so the whole group had to go back even though we were on our way back to the hotel. The other issue was that the group we were added onto was French speaking. The guide spent 80% of the time speaking French and then gave us a very short summary in English each time.

Timing was perfect arriving at Tulum sight as first group on the day. Right amount of time for guided tour and then our own free time. Mayan village better than we expected and swim in Cenote was refreshing. The tour guide and driver were outstanding and made the experience all the more memorable. We were well looked after.

Even though the trip didn't mention turtles we were very lucky to see a baby one in the cenote we swam in which made the trip even more memorable. The trip was half a day which suited us. The archaeological site well worth a visit, spectacular views.

The experience was first class. The guide was unbelievable and very informative and very friendly and funny Would suggest you tell people to take flip flops with them as well as shoes. Vi fick dagen innan utfärd veta att språk skulle bytas från svenska till engelska. Det var fine. Det som inte framgick var att det blev en blandad grupp av engelska och franska, vilket gjorde att hälften av turen guidades på franska. Det blev således betydligt mindre aktiv guidning än om det endast varit på ett språk. Därtill valde guiden att ägna stor del av den tillgängliga tiden åt ej relevanta skämt = ännu mindre info och fakta om det vi var där för.

Très mauvaise expérience. Guide très moyen. Village Maya sans aucun intérêt hormis la préparation de la tortillas. Long trajet en bus pour aller chercher dans 4 hôtels différents les participants. Personne ne nous avait prévenu que nous devrions faire 2 heures de transport supplémentaire pour aller chercher des personnes. Rapport qualité prix nul. C’est limite du vol par rapport à l’excursion que nous avons fait à Chitzen itza. Très très déçu. Arrivé à 15h30 sans avoir eu de vrai repas

The transport did not turn up at the confirmed time, but was one hour late. The guide said it had been rescheduled and he was surprised we had not been told. The excursion was advertised as being in English, but because most guests were French-speaking the guide spent more time speaking French than English. Some information was given in French only and not translated. The guide was not well organised, and wasn't always clear in his instructions. The driver was helpful. "Snacks" were poor.

De tour was een mix van duits en engels, de vraag aan de duitse gasten of ze engels ok vonden was ongepast, ze hadden betaald voor een duitstalige tour en moeten die dus krijgen. Het mengen van talen is geen goed idee want het splits de groep en vermindert de connectie met de reisbegeleider.

Bonjour. La visite nous a vraiment plu. La guide était très claire. C'était très intéressant et instructif. La visite et l'accueil du village Maya et de leurs modes de vie nous ont plu également(Préparation de la galette à base de farine de maïs et cuisson). Unser Guide Karina, war toll. Allerdings was die Cenote angeht, wird ein völlig falsches Bild gezeichnet. Hier bitte mit Bildern von der Cenote die Realität abbilden. Das Mayadorf war interessant. Der Besuch dort hat mich veranlasst in Zukunft Tortillas selber herzustellen, statt Supermarktware zu kaufen.

Coral var en fantastisk guide som berättade mycket historia om allt ikring Tulum. Jätteintressant under besöket på Mayabyn. Härligt bad i cenoten. Hon var så duktig på att berätta att man såg bilden framför sig och med glimten i ögat och humor på det. Rekommenderar verkligen!

Wieder ein sehr sehr guter Guide..... Netter freundlicher Busfahrer, leider waren wir mit so einem kleinen VW-Bus ähnlichem Gefährt unterwegs, sehr beengter Innenraum und der Wagen war ein wenig "klapprig". Aber es ging schon da der Weg nicht so weit war. Unter'm Strich: Netter, schöner, informativer Ausflug.

Visite parfaite sur le côté organisation et guide mais cela reste extrêmement cher. Le prix des excursions globalement est exhorbitant. Si on l’a faite en passant par vous c’est juste pour le côté pratique car avec 2 enfants dont un de 4 ans cela est rassurant. Sans enfant je l’aurais faite par moi même pour 2 fois moins cher de façon certaine.

A really good trip. Tulum was beautiful with lots of shade. Alan tour guide was really knowledgeable and explained everything in English and French and gave us time to explore too. Cenote swim excellent. Mayan experience really interesting. Criticism:advice for future travellers. It’s sold as drinks and snacks included. Really it should say a drink and a snack,(we fortunately did take some snacks and a drink with us) it was more than a half day tour. 8 hours in total.

Our guide Karina was amazing and knowledgeable. We got to both stops (Tulum and Maya village/cenote) before the crowds and were able to roam around freely to look around but also got guided sections. I enjoyed the smaller group as well. The food was not amazing (cold snacks, not many veggie options) but we had time to sit down and buy lunch. The only thing is that we were told it would be a 12-hour trip but it was more 10 hours.

Guide très sympathique et compétent. La rapidité du trajet car aucun arrêt dans d autres hôtels ce qui est très appréciable. Très belle excursion.
