Driving your own off-road vehicle, you'll zoom down dusty tracks, trails and up and over rolling sand dunes to discover all the best bits of Boa Vista.Hop in your powerful off-road buggy and after a quick safety briefing, you'll be ready to ride. Set off down Cape Verde's rugged trails and you'll zig-zag your way from the Chaves chimney – the towering smoke stack of an old ceramics factory – and rumble alongside epic views of the Atlantic Ocean.Revving along the coast, you'll take a quick break from the action at the Fatima Church before hopping back in the buggies, ready to ramp things up a notch. Speeding along, you'll power over rolling sand dunes to find the perfect spot for a photo over Sal Rei Bay. Finally, you'll kick up a few more clouds of dust as you head back to base.

Begeleiding was alleen maar aan het bellen tijdens het rijden voor de groep. Helm los op zijn hoofd. Eerste stop was een paar duinen waar ineens lokale bevolking wederom met winkeltjes uit het niets verschenen. Routes waren ook echt niet bijzonder, zeker voor dit geldbedrag een aanfluiting. Quad tour daarintegen was wel een aanrader en erg leuk en mooi..

Het zou een tour van 4 uur zijn, maar binnen de 2 uur waren we al terug. Ook waren de goede buggy’s vergeven waardoor wij, en nog een ander koppel, ieder een oude roestige buggy meekregen welke ook nog mankementen had (stilvallen). Dit lag niet aan TUI maar aan de externe partij. TUI heeft de klacht top afgehandeld. Dank daarvoor

No instructions on how to follow lead driver, only told how to stop & start buggy. Lots of time wasted by continuoulsy driving round on sand in circles just so photographer could take pictures. Stopped a couple of times for just a few minutes to look at scenery, but again nothing explained to us as to where we were, or even looking at.

Really good experience, a great way to explore the island. Would have liked to have had a couple more stops for photos or for the guide to explain a bit about certain places. Is very very dusty on some of the tracks, a full face helmet or snood would be preferable.

The buggy driving was fun. Until the buggy broke down. Everything else left a lot to be desired. There was no safety briefing, no instruction other than than drive selection. The staff I found rude. Our buggy broke down. The staff reacted in a way that made me feel like it was my fault. I then spent the next 30 minutes driving their support buggy which was not as much fun, less powerful and kept stalling. Eventually I was back in the original buggy. I would not recommend. Staff were not friendly

Loved it, exhilarating. Fun to drive in the road then over the sand dunes taking in the sights. Great that we got a snood given to us to keep the dust out & that we both got a turn to drive, made it value for money. They had a photographer come with us to take pictures and buy a photo package at the end. Your clothes do get really sandy & worth wearing sunglasses to stop the sand whipping up into your eyes.

Kei leuke tocht gehad. We kregen als extra,omdat we via Tui hadden geboekt, nog een fijne neus/ mond doek aangeboden. Het was zeker de moeite waard. Volgende keer zouden we de langere tocht willen doen. Was echt heel gaaf!!

The activity was good, a little dangerous at times. The same activity in other countries have involved a safety briefing, talk on the instruments, what to do in an emergency. Practice before leaving the venue and technical expertise on different terrains. This activity, you got in the car they told you how out the car in drive and neutral, seat belts on, drive through the course (no practice) of you go. Driving on sand was slippery compared to cobbled paths. Downloadable pictures are expensive.

First time - excellent as we had a single party with just the guide. No other parties in the group to slow you down. The second time we booked this we ended up tagging behind a large French family who decided to go much slower and therefore ruin the experience for us. This time the activity was rubbish and a waste of money, my daughter was very disappointed. If i could have got a refund -i would have done.

The buggy tour was amazing, the team picked us up on time from hotel and took us to Quad Zone. There we were given helmets and face masks (for the dust). There wasn’t a huge amount of introduction but you must have a driving licence to do this activity so if you can drive a normal car you can work it out. The trip took us across every environment imaginable - red dust dessert, white sand beach, through seaside towns. I can’t recommend more - the absolute highlight of our whole trip to Boa Vista!

I went with my sister, bearing in mind we’re both in our 70s we had a fabulous fabulous time. There’s nothing in Vista and it made us look around the area and enjoy a really really pleasant buggy ride. The guides were excellent they knew what they were doing and everyone felt safe thank you TUI!

Das fahren mit den Buggys macht total Spaß. Vor Beginn gibt es ein Halstuch, Haarnetz und Helm. Das Anschnallen wird überprüft. Außerdem erfolgt eine Einweisung in das Buggy. Das Tempo ist flott (sonst macht es ja auch keinen Spaß), aber gut machbar. Die Guides achten immer darauf, dass noch alle da sind. Die Photos während der Fahrt sind gut und werden zuverlässig zugeschickt. Alles in allem hat es viel Freude gemacht!!!

The buggy tour was great the only problems we had were 1 seat belt wouldn't work it was completely jammed! They got it working in the end but it was very tight to have on. At the halfway point our buggy would not turn back on and was completely dead also sest belt broke again. They got the buggy and seat belt working again after some time and we were off again. They said they have been complaining to managers they need new buggys and they really do! Overall great trip would 100% do again!

We hadden niet verwacht dat we zo hard zouden gaan, maar dat maakte het juist gaaf. Mooie delen van het eiland gezien. De tour was dus super! Tip aan Tui: er stond “vanaf €42,-‘. We hebben €110 betaald. Nu snap ik dat er een deel voor de transfer gerekend word, maar het verschil tussen wat geadverteerd staat en wat daadwerkelijk betaald dient te worden, is te groot. Al met al alsnog zeker het geld waard achteraf. Misschien dus een iets hogere prijs aanhouden in de advertentie.

So good we did this for the 2nd time during our stay. We had the same guide, Clay, was nicely he recognised us from previous week and in so took us on a different route to allow us to see different sites and drive on different terrain and tracks which was great.. We both lover the experience and if we return in future would be sure to do again.

The buggies were great fun, fantastic experience, a little disorganised on arrival as there were approx 30 quads going out at same time as us in the only buggy but left till last to be sorted. Once we got going it we were buzzing, great was excellent, didn't stop at many sights but we went for the buggy experience rather than the stopping off. Went on some great trails and over the sand dunes. Left us wanting to do it again.

Die Route der Buggytour macht echt mega Spass.Über Stock und Stein,durch Sanddühnen richtig klasse.Was allerdings zu erwähnen ist, daß die Buggys vom Pflegezustand her eine reine Katastrophe sind.Bei meinem 1 Buggy ist der Zahnriemen gerissen,bei dem Ersatzbuggy ist die Lenkradverstellung gebrochen.Beim 3 Buggy ist beim Fahren die Tür von alleine aufgegangen und er hatte wenig Leistung.Das stellt ein Sicherheitsrisiko dar und der Verleiher sollte dringend von Tui überprüft werden!

A little disorganised to start with but I would go with them again. The guides buggy broke down (battery) five minutes along the road. When our buggy got stuck in the dunes he had to go back for a shovel. Why not carry a shovel in every vehicle. Easy fix.

Unfortunately our confirmation didn't specify by quad zone. When they arrived and we said sand buggy they said it wasn't booked through them. We therefore missed the transfer which was very annoying. We went to the TUI travel guides and they rebooked us for the next day. The excursion itself was great and would definitely recommend. Don't wear a white t shirt ;)

The guides were super friendly, took loads of amazing photos and took us on a great route. There wasn’t much in the way of a briefing and the driving can get quite scary at times so definitely recommended to be an experienced driver. Also googles provided would be helpful as it can be very hard to see in the dust and your eyes can hurt which is a bit dangerous for the driver more than anything. We had sunglasses which helped but if we hadn’t have taken them it would have been a lot worse!

Die Tour war wirklich super. Wir sind sehr lange gefahren und wir haben viel gesehen und Spaß gehabt. Was uns überhaupt nicht gefallen hat, war die Sicherheit des Buggy. Das Lenkrad stand quer zur Fahrtrichtung, der Sicherheitsgurt hat geklemmt bzw. war zu lang und die Sicherheitsleuchte hat ständig geblickt. Das Fahrzeug wurde manipuliert, damit es überhaupt angesprungen ist. Trotz allem würden wir die Tour weiter empfehlen.

So much fun, staff were great and friendly. Took us to different areas and ensured all were safe along the way. 2 stops on our tour which included a church and a market in Sal Rei. Would have booked again on our stay away if we could. Will definitely be booking if we come here agaib

This was a fun experience. I'd initially been apprensive about driving the buggy but it was easy and fun! Our only quibble was the lack of briefing about how to drive or the plan for the tour. We had one stop with a lovely panoramic view but it would have been helpful to know roughly when this would be and how many stops we would be getting. There were no refreshments available even at the end. There were no toilet stops during so it would have been useful to know to use them at the start.

We felt very rushed from the moment we arrived at quadzone. A quick driving licence check and then thrown a helmet, hair net and bandanna and rushed out to our buggy. My helmet strap was broken and I pointed this out to the guide and he just told me to get into the buggy and that it would be fine. I then had to hold onto the helmet as I could feel it coming off during the tour

The buggies are not suitable, they have cuts in the tyres, all of the rims are damaged, they run on under inflated tyres on the roads. When the accident occurred the bolt sheered and the roof collapsed inwards more than it should have done. The accident of another person on the flat and not over the sand dunes. No first aid kits, no first aid knowledge, staff more interested in recovering money from driver than condition of injured. management arrived in a new toyota land cruiser so they have fu

Transfer en korte uitleg waren prima. Tip, neem een grote zakdoek of sjaal mee voor je gezicht en zonnebril. Leuke tocht van 2 uur. Had het nog wel een paar uur kunnen volhouden. Super gaaf. Buggys gaan mooi vlot. Hoe kleiner het groepje hoe fijner het rijden is. 2 stops gemaakt om kort de benen te strekken en de omgeving te bewonderen.

Very unassuming venue which gave the impression of being unprepared and unorganised, BUT once we were in our buggy and heading out WOW what an amazing experience! Highly recommended for those who love speed and adrenaline!! Fantastic way to see the island and explore the dunes. Definitely wear dark clothing as you get covered in dust. Buggy Tour war super spaßig und voller Adrenalin. Man heizt durch Steppe, Stock und Stein und über Sand Dünen. Super offroad erlebnis. Man sollte keine Angst vor Staub und staubigen Klamotten haben. Man hat am Ende eine Staubkruste auf Haut und Klamotten. Tücher für Mund und Nase wurden bereitgestellt. Personal sehr freundlich. Abholung gut geklappt. Aber pünktlich sein, da genau 5 min gewartet wird. Ein Buggy hatte einen Defekt. Nach kurzer Wartezeit gleich Ersatz da gewesen.Wasser mitbringen!

Experience was great fun, expected to get very dusty and did. Good variety of road, dirt and sand dunes. We thought the 2 hour session was good value. Minor (ish) points: not a great selection of helmet sizes unless you have a big head. The safety belts on our first buggy didn’t work at all, so we were given a different one - our original buggy was still given to a late arrival - and it broke down halfway through our ‘tour’!

Had such a great time, highly recommended. Good way of seeing some of the beautiful country, you drive through some pretty villages and along some lovely beaches. You do bomb along quite quickly on different terrrsin, so was quite tiring as the driver - the 2 hour tour was just right. Wear old clothes, sunglasses and a scarf, you get filthy, so worth it though - really enjoyed the experience.
