Roberto, uno de nuestros guías locales, nos cuenta: "El desierto de Viana es el trozo del Sáhara que le pertenece a Boa Vista. Su arena procede del oeste de África, creando enormes dunas por las que subiremos y bajaremos". No deje piedra sin remover mientras visita el naufragio en la playa de Santa Maria, antes de detenerse en la aldea de Sal Rei y en Povoaçao Velha. Además, almorzará junto al mar en un restaurante a pie de playa.La diversión comienza en el desierto de Viana. Sienta el viento en el pelo mientras recorre las dunas en 4x4. A continuación, nos dirigimos a descubrir el oxidado naufragio del Cabo de Santa María, un símbolo de Boa Vista. Hay unos 150 pecios en las islas de Cabo Verde, pero éste es el más misterioso de todos. También es un lugar estupendo para hacerse un selfie". Die Insel hat einfach nichts zu bieten, da kann man sich anstrengen wie man will. Hauptstadt sehr enttäuschend. Außer Meer und Dünen hat es nichts zu bieten. Das muss einem einfach klar werden. Daher fand ich auch alles enttäuschend. Selber Schuld, hätte mich noch besser vorbereiten müssen.

Welkome afwisseling van de ?? vakantie. De rit in de 4x4 is behoorlijk inspannend. Het terrein is zeer uitdagend. Jammer dat je geen houvast in de auto hebt. De verzorging is overigens prima en het hoogtepunt Morabeza is een echte aanrader. Heerlijk gegeten. Gevarieerde dag geweest en moe maar voldaan terug op het resort

We hadden de uitstap besteld met Nederlandstalige gids maar we werden onderverdeeld bij de Engelstalige gids. Er was geen plaats meer in de 4*4 voor Nederlandstaligen. Wij waren niet de enigen met dit probleem. Om deze reden kan ik dus zeggen dat dit niet in orde was en we zeker een compensatie van Tui verwachten.

Transport not very comfortable. Getting in and out for both young and old very tricky. Seat belts a bit difficult. Seats were low and sideways facing ,generally uncomfortable - knees touching! Very cramped. A 4x4 with forward facing seats and better seat belts. Overall places visited were interesting. Given the distance and rough terraine to the shipwreck it was a disappointing experience as there is not now a lot to see compared with other peoples experience of 15 years ago. Worthwhile journey

Preis-Leistung ist nicht zufriedenstellend. Das sogenannte Sand Boarding ist nicht wirklich die Fahrt wert, vom Schiffswrack ist kaum etwas übrig und der Besuch in der Hauptstadt bzw. die älteste Siedlung dient nur zum Shoppen und sehr kurzem Sightseeing (allein). Es hatte mehr Infos zu Land und Leute geben können, da die Insel nicht viel zum Erkunden bietet. Santa Monica ist ein sehr schöner Strand, den wir so sonst nicht gesehen hätten, Mittagessen war gut. Spots sollten überdacht werden!

A little more time in the town would have been lovely , really enjoyed travelling through the desert on the 4 by 4, our guid was really friendly and engaging with us all . The day ran nicely apart from one of the guests who wandered off and we spent nearly an 45 / 50 minutes trying to locate the individual, which was frustrating for everyone.

The quide and the driver both were excellent. My friend got lost at the beach. I thought that I will go to find her and we will back with a taxi. Both members of staff were woried and acted very nice They help to find the lost pensioner and fid not leave us behind. Huge THANK for both of them We are very appreciated that staff went an extra mile and helped to relief strees. No stress with TUI staff at Boa Vista Cape Verde

Sal rei viel ons een beetje tegen, maar misschien waren onze verwachtingen wel te hoog. Wel mooie foto kunnen maken. De lunch was daarentegen op een geweldig mooie locatie, zoals je ze in reisgidsen ziet. Jammer dat we niet konden zwemmen bij Santa Monica Beach. Wel te begrijpen, grote golven. For the money you’re charging this definitely isn’t a day trip. More of a half day especially when you already have a half day to Sal going again on this day trip Sal is a drop off for nearly an hour and there is literally nothing to do. I would also suggest that you pay you staff more money as each trip the staff said that they rely on tips to buy food for their children if it’s not bad enough that the sellers pounce on you and keep saying food for my kids and try and charge extortionate prices

Der „Dünen Surf Hügel“ war leider sehr kurz! Während der Fahrt hätte uns etwas Erklärung über die Berge und die Salzsee an denen wir vorbeifuhren gefreut. Infos über die sehenswerten Dinge in Sal Rei haben leider auch gefehlt.

Unser Highlight war der santa Monica Strand. Wo wir ein bisschen enttäuscht waren, war das Sandboarden, da wir uns da etwas anderes vorgestellt haben und es einfach nicht komplett den Erwartungen entsprach. Die Fahrten waren etwas zu lang um Vergleich zu den Stopps, dennoch nichts gravierendes. Alles in allem war es top, die Fahrer waren nett und man hatte zu keiner Zeit bedenken, dass etwas passieren konnte. Gerne noch mal!

As a disabled person I was told \by rep I would sit in front passenger's seat, this was not offered to me and had to sit behind driver the whole time. getting in and out of vehicle was very difficult, however driver did assist. very uncomfortable drive. De reisleider was wel een aardige jongen. Maar was net een cassette bandje die die even moest afspelen. Verder leuke toertocht gehad met mooie 4x4 paadjes door de woestijn. En beach front lunch was ook mooi en eten en welkoms drankje waren lekker.

Like the Catamaran trip all staff were excellent and attentative. At all the stops on the way local folk and bar staff very friendly and very helpful when asked questions. The final stop at the wonderful beach was amazing. Well worth being one of the top beaches in the world. Superb day out

The staff in general were good and the leader of the group was very good. However our jeeps guide/ driver spoke very little English and therefore gave us zero information about anything. We didn’t know where were or where we were going. No information on local area or Boa Vista in general. A real let down - we may as well have been on our own, so sad as we deliberately chose this excursion to learn about the island. Please don’t sell this as an English speaking tour when your guide is silent!!

The trip was overpriced for what it was. Asked for lunch order twice (chicken) but was given steak. Hemmed in at 2 locations by souvenir vendors and would have preferred not to stop in Sal Rei as didn’t feel particularly safe there. Have bruises from the extremely bumpy ride in places. The tour guide was very good though, personable and knowledgeable. TUI should make it very clear that this trip is only suitable for the young and fit, we returned to the hotel feeling exhausted and battered!

It was alittle scary first of all as drivers go fast and terrain is very bumpy. Byt you relax into it as you go along and uts very e joyabke.. its a long way. Nit for very elderly ir legs tgat done vend fully. But tge day was brluant. Covered alot of island santa Monica beach lovely. Sal rei not so much but tve lunch so relaxing and goid standard. Aufenthalt in Sal Rei hätte etwas länger dauern können. Mittagessen für Single Reisenden lieber in eine Gruppe involvieren anstatt Person einzeln zu setzen. Mittagessen in wunderschöner Location. Großes Lob ebenfalls für Aufenthalt am Santa Monica Beach. Rundum war ich sehr zufrieden und habe den Tag sehr genossen

Vielen Dank an unsere holländische Nein englische deutschsprechende Reiseleiterin Betty es gab auf alles was man noch zu fragen hatte eine Antwort. Jose unser Fahrer war sicher unterwegs und sehr nett vielen Dank und ein großes Lob. Nennenswert waren auch die Besuche in der Wüste Viana das Schiffswrack wer weiß wie lange dies noch zu besichtigen ist. Das Mittagsessen war echt top, allein schon wegen dem tollen Restaurant am Strand apropos ... Monica Beach ist ein Traumstrand....Traumkulisse

Positive: Hugo was a brilliant guide, funny, friendly and knowledgable. The highlight was the lovely restaurant with the best vegetarian food we ate during our holiday! The vibe was really nice here and they were very well organised. Negative: The 'sandboarding' was very limited, we enjoyed it but was very quick, most people only went once. It seems more like an opportunity for local vendors to encourage tourists to visit their 'shop' - was uncomfortable & intrusive. Time on beach very short.
