Poor

There was no indication that a bike ride would be needed to cover the Coba Site. For those who can ride a bike, the 80Peso cost was covered in the excursion booking. Since I don't ride a bike, I had to pay the full price of 180Peso/80min for a bike taxi service. There was quite a queue to climb the pyramid, eating into my rental time, and I had to leave the final ball court site without hearing what the guide had to say. A reduction to the taxi cost should also be given.

Would have been nice to do cobs first then the caves. Your guide Aaron was brilliant - lack of air con in the bus was a bit overbearing as it was full and v hot

The driver of the first bus was taciturn and was late with no apology. When we met our guide she did outline the day as we didn’t really know. She was a little hesitant at first but once the tour got underway she was good although with a quiet voice . The blurb needs to say to take swimwear and wet shoes, if you have them but everything else is provided including water and a good lunch.. Overall it was a great trip and I’d really recommend it if you like the natural world, history and culture.

We enjoyed the trip overall, walking/swimming through the Rio Secreto was amazing. Changing facilities fine. Cycling around Coba and seeing the ruins good fun. Guide knowledgeable. It would have been good to have more details beforehand. We didn't know we'd be cycling, or that towels were provided. Photos at Rio Secreto a rip off $120 We also weren't expecting such a long day: 11 hours in total. We'd still do it again though

Our guide was incredible, friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgable and so caring about his group. What let it down was TUI’s description of the tour had little similarity to the actual day - wetsuits, helmets, water shoes and life jackets needed to be worn, the biking was on very old bikes though the jungle - it was fine, I’m able bodied and enjoyed it but it was a shock. Please make your tour descriptions more accurate - there were people in it that were far more bewildered than me.

The explanation of the tour on the tui website isn't great however this was one of the best trips we did on holiday. Rio secreto is a cave system/ cenote that you are taken through via a guide with a group. It is amazing! (Your given all the equipment you need but I would suggest you bring your own water shoes) Coba is an amazing historical site that you cycle through with your guide. With the tallest pyramid in area. Honestly one of the best historical locations we've been to on the trip.

Great

The experience is great, but the advert is not at all representative of the experience. It was advertised as a cenote, but it is in fact an underground cave tour. Also, the advert never mentions that there is a cycling section, and if you can't cycle then you have to pay 11usd to skip it. It was great, but absolutely missold

Good Omar our guide was accommodating and passionate about the history of rio and coba. He made the day amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge. Bad The 1.5 hour wait to start as pick ups were not synced. We were picked up at 7.20 and had to wait 1.5h at rio secreto. Coba was a bit too short as a visit but still amazing

Guided tour of Coba and exploring Rio Secreto was fab. Food great too. But the description of excursion needs updating/expanding - you can't climb any pyramids in Coba, and there is quite a bit of cycling on bumpy ground (you can get 'driven' around for an extra 180 peso each). You can avoid the swimming in Rio Secreto if walk around with photographer for that bit, otherwise non-swimmers should be OK (we did Happiness route) as rest of water can touch bottom. Suggest wear swim kit ready

Our guide Ana was amazing and so knowledgeable. She answered every question thoughtfully and clearly, she taught us so much about Mayan culture. We had a great time at both Rio Secreto and Coba. It’s lovely that Coba is so unspoilt.

This was a great combination, where we visited Coba in the morning which is a beautiful location, based in the jungle, followed by a really refreshing journey in the underground river system of 'Rio Secreto'. It is a shame, however, that you cannot use your own camera but instead have to rely on buying expensive photos if you want a momento.

A very fun and interesting trip out. Rio Secreto is a cave that you get to go in with a guide so be ready for tricky paths and some swimming. If you are about 5 foot 9 as I am you will need to mind your head and crawl a bit but not too much. Well worth it to see bats, whip scorpions and catfish. After you get a lovely lunch and then it's off to Coba. Coba is older than Chichen Itza and full of amazing history and architecture in a beautiful jungle. A great trip!

Average

Great

Coba is a great site and longer there looking at some of the remains we only passed by would have been welcome. The secret river is also very good and well done. What was less so was the logistics. We were picked up at the hotel and taken to the Rio secretory reception where we met our guide for the day and discovered that we were going to Coba first so 90 minutes after being picked up we drove past our hotel. Then after coba we drove past it again enroute for Rio secreto.
