Nachdem schon zwei gebuchte Ausflüge abgesagt wurden, hatten wir den Eindruck dass der Vertragspartner diesen Ausflug mit uns allein als Gäste einfach durchführen wollte. Am Nationalpark angekommen erklärte uns der Guide zu Beginn noch ein wenig, machte auch noch ein paar Fotos und ging dann schnellen Schrittes zum Wasserfall hoch. Am Zugang zum Wasserfall hatte sich bereits eine lange Schlange gebildet, er erklärte uns dann, dass wir aufgrund des Restprogramms, nicht die Zeit hätten zu warten.

amazing excursion toTenorio Volcano National Park Hiking Tour with Sloth Encounter. We trekked down to the turquoise waterfall, saw vine snakes, crested Guan, stunning vegetation. Then lunch which was excellent. Our tour to see the sloths and so much more, blue jeans poisonous dart frog, tree frog, tucan, howler monkeys, beautiful Flora. Our guides were fantastic letting us use their telescopes which they set up for us. Taking photos and so knowledgeable which they readily shared.

A superb day. David the guide was fantastic. The whole day felt very well organised and like we didn't have to worry about anything. Saw lots of cool wildlife including sloths, monkeys, an anteater, a toucan, frogs and snakes. The waterfall was beautiful. There are a lot of steps but you can stop half way. The journey back was very long and lots of traffic but such is life everywhere! I would highly recommend, a wonderful day.

David our tour guide was the best. We had an amazing day Rio Celeste amazing and worth the hard hike. We saw sloths. toucan, ant eater and more. The food was amazing. Only 5 in our group it was just perfect.

The Rio Veleste Waterfall hike was amazing but the sloth encounter was poor. We saw 2 sloths that were so high up in the trees you could only see them through binoculars and the guides took photos through the binoculars using our phones. It wasn’t a sloth encounter at all.

We found the experience value for money although we couldn't find any monkeys. I know that they are in their natural habitat but I was a little disappointed that I didn't see one.

Experience all round was great. Guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. All the activities were in a short distance of each other, which reduced the travelling. Food was excellent at the lunch venue. One recommendation would be to offer bottles of water before the hike.

The tour was in two halves. Firstly the visit to the waterfall, you need to be quite fit as this entailed a lot of steps down and a steep climb back up. The.waterfall is very picturesque so was worth the effort. David our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. The second part was where we saw the sloths, frogs and toucans. Ismael our guide for this part of the trip was wonderful and couldn’t have been more helpful. Lunch was very nice and was served overlooking the volcano.

The excursion was fantastic well thought out and planned. The experienced guide made it well worthwhile. The only issue was having over £230 taken out of my account by TUI more than it should have. I've contacted TUI and they won't listen (just automation). Never book an excursion on line. Now TUI won't answer my emails!!!!!! Disappointed!!

Excellent tour, guide and transport very good, the hike is challenging but worth the effort; be warned the second half of the hike after the waterfall is very strenuous! The walk around the private nature park was excellent we viewed both 3 and 2 toed sloths ?? plus howler monkeys and various species of tree frogs. The guide here really knew how to track the animals and made the hour we had in the park full of interest. The meal looking out across the valley at the volcano was also very nice.

The key word in this excursion is hike and it was definitely a decent hike! We thoroughly enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and volcano through the rainforest. The sloth encounter was different unfortunately we didn’t really see a sloth (apart from really far away) which was disappointing. Though got to see monkeys, frogs, snakes and lizards closer! Monkey was very cool! Lunch is at 3 which to me is not at lunchtime and after a 6km hike your very hungry. Suggestion buy food at supermarket!

The sloth experience part of this trip was excellent as we sW sloth, red eyed tree frog, poison dart frog and even toucan. The hike was howvever a washout, walking in non-stop thunder/lightning/torrential rain. While rain is to be expected in a rainforest, if TUI bothered to run these trips much earlier in the day eg a 5am start, there would be less chance of rain and more chance of actually seeing wildlife.

A really good trip. Quite a hard Trek if you are not fit. Lots of steps. Worth it to see the blue waterfall. We loved it! Also got to see a Eye lash viper Snake. Not as much wildlife here compared to Arenal or Monteverde Cloud Forest.

The excursion was offered on Tui experiences as one that was suitable from our hotel but this did not provide information about the travelling which for us was 5 hours in a bus. We were only aware of this after arriving in resort and it would have been useful to know this before arrival. The tour itself was very good and the morning element was described well with a hike up Tenario to a spectacular waterfall. The afternoon exceeded expectation but not described well. The "sloth encounter" was a jungle walk at a place called "jungle Life" we saw sloths by eye and also through a telescope, we also saw a tree frog and a poison dart frog, the guide for this excellent

The hike was really good some of the steps are very deep and thos was a challenge at 5 ft 0. Loved the day the guide nacho was great and even was looking out for animals along the route. Great experience.

Our guide David was fantastic. Very knowledgable and passionate about the animals of Costa Rica. We saw sloths, snakes, tarantulas, toucans and many other birds. The hike was taking but we were able to set the pace. A lovely lunch with beautiful views, followed by a trip to a private farm and a tour of their mini rainforest. Another great guide who taught us so much about the flora and fauna.
