Passe uma manhã explorando a costa oeste de Boa Vista e a ilhota de Sal Rei a bordo do seu catamarã antes de ir para um almoço em um restaurante de praia. Depois, passe uma tarde nas areias douradas da Praia da Chaves. Enquanto seu capitão o conduz para fora do porto, você navegará até a ilhota de Sal Rei e ao redor dela antes de deslizar de volta ao porto – passando cerca de três horas no mar. Você será então transferido para as areias virgens da Praia da Chaves na costa oeste de Boa Vista – bem a tempo para o almoço. It was should as a boat trip, but was actually less than 3 hours on an overcrowded catamaran and then a coach trip to a beach with no shelter. Very disappointing,

The service and staff and catamaran itself were brilliant. However TUI completely missell the experience. The main picture of the excursion is someone drinking prosecco with only a few other people in view. This is not the experience. There’s no prosecco and the catamaran has 70+ people on it. We booked an adults only cruise but there were many children on the boat. 10/10 for the boat and staff. 0/10 for TUI and how they lie to sell you it.

Wasn't much of a catamaran experience and felt misold. Staff and paparazzi as they call them were friendly enough but the boat was overfilled meaning the very small space you could sit on the nets at the very front were filled. Everyone else had to sit at the back on upright seats which were not comfortable at all. We had one stop on the catamaran and you had to either snorkel or take a dingy to a small beach with nothing on it. Spending less than 3 hours on a catamaran is not what we wanted

Catamaran was nice but not long on board, Beach part was far too long, esp when you were only allowed one drink….one of the options water so if you would of liked a beer or soft drink you couldnt have water meaning you spent a fortune on extra drinks over the 4 hours left, we also had to pay to sit on beach chairs, sea was rough and no life guards close if anyone in trouble, wouldnt do again but huge shame as could be fab!

Enjoyed the 3 hours on catamaran was not expecting to go on a coach to the beach which was nice but a minimal meal and drink and was not the beach in the picture. Sea looked nice but was not easy to get in,too many rocks.Result was we was glad to get back to the hotel.

The catamaran trip was ok, however if you don't like beer then it's tuff, you have to drink soft fizzy drinks or water. The photographer was great and all the natural photos he took of us, most we didn't even know he took, were only €20 for all! They were sent to my email and I downloaded them all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the catamaran although disappointed that it only lasted 3hrs, we were under the impression along with some other guests that we would be on the boat all day and that we would be ferried over to the restaurant for lunch.

The catamaran was perfect! The host were amazing! A little bit down hill from there. We weren't told what was happening next just all bundled into a land-rover and dropped at a beach. Told to meet back there at 4 then they drove off. After walking to the restaurant had food ( which was nice!) with 1 drink then still had 3.5 hours to wait! If there was more drinks served or a bit more comfy or leave you there less time it would be perfect. We all got taxis back instead of waiting

You only have 3 hours on the catamaran only about 30 minutes to an hour on the beach or on the boat snorkelling. Then picked up at 12pm from the catamaran and dropped off to another location for lunch’s and then left at the beach for 3 plus hours I got fed up waiting as not enough sun loungers at this location so walked back to my hotel along the beach.

The bus arrived on time to take us to the port, we were then taken to the catamaran, and taken for a 3 hour sail , stopping off to do some snorkelling, but sadly the water was cloudy so we couldn't see many fish. the staff were funny and friendly, the cruise itself was very relaxing. The restaurant food was tasty, it was nice to be able to swim afterwards especially when the turtles popped their heads above the water to have a look it made the experience that much better

Lovely 3 hours on the catamaran. Staff friendly and attentive. Might have been nice to get a little bit of info about the sights / coastline. Plenty of drinks and also snacks which were unexpected. The meal was ok but could have had better at our hotel.

No one had a clue what was happening, 3 hours on catamaran then dropped back to dock, with no instructions what to do or where to go, then back on coach again not knowing what to expect to be dropped of at beach, food and 1 drink until 4pm. It was to long and again no instructions during the day.

The boat was very lightweight & the sea quite rough 3 hours was too long for my wife , after taking sea sick pills really suffered, & very cold, windy, good thing taken a towel The food at restaurant was adequate , the beach was a real delight, after what had gone before

Very misleading, read as day trip, in fact it was 3 hrs on catamaran, which was brilliant then taken back to shore to be bused to restaurant, restricted menu + 1 drink and given 4 hours to relax on beach and then bused back to hotel. We walked back along seafront to our hotel.

It was lovely to go out on the water, the boat crew were lovely and so friendly. The steps from the quay to get on to the boat were quite precarious but the crew were there to help you on and off. It was good to have the chance to swim off the boat, shame the water was too cloudy to see any fish but it was still nice. Lunch was lovely at the beach bar.

The staff were friendly and helpful, all in all a great day. The reason I have 9 instead of 10 was because the currents are very strong for snorkelling and there wasn't much to see.

This was an amazing way to see the island, our guide took us through the village where all the locals waved at you, through the sand dunes and stopped off at Santa Maria Beach to view the shipwreck. I highly recommend getting a quad each rather than sharing. We felt safe on this tour. Loved every minute!

TUI transfer was disorganised and the driver had no interest in trying to communicate where we had to go. We were dropped off at the port and left to find the boat. Once on the boat, the trip was amazing, very friendly crew, tasty food & drinks provided. We sailed around for a few hours, stopped at a swimming spot and sailed back. Lunch was on a stunning beach restaurant with lovely food and friendly staff. Lots of sunbeds and a great swimming spot.

The Catamaran is amazing, you don’t really go very far out at all which was fine with us. The staff on the boat couldn’t do enough for you, they were amazing. The photographer who accompanies you (pretty standard here in Boa Vista) took some great photos of the family. The food on board is great. The food at the restaurant is ok. We decided to walk back to our hotel as 4 hours on the beach is a bit much.

Staff on the boat were brilliant, the coach driver from the hotel, to the catamaran & restaurant was miserable. The information about the trip gave the impression that you went out to a beach on the island, then you were boated ashore by dinghy to the restaurant. What we actually did was motor out to sea & back again, anchored off an island just outside the harbour to scuba dive, seeing no sea life at all, upped anchor sailed back the way we came, & then got coached to the restaurant

The catamaran trip was excellent although thought we might travel further than we did. Lunch was excellent. Beach & the sea were very nice although could do with more seating and shaded areas What could be improved is advertising the excursion better as the TUI advert doesn’t do the trip justice. It should be clear what you are getting and be clear that this is a full day excursion not a morning trip as advertised.

The catamaran was over crowded no seats in main part so was stuck on the nets the whole time. It shouldn’t have been sold to people staying in the Rui palace as the 4 hour beach stop is right next to the Rui Palace where I was staying. the beach is better there and more food and drink selection so only really needed to catamaran part.

The actual Catamaran experience was great, as advertised, we got to snorkel and dive off of the Catamaran. All inclusive drinks and snack were great. The crew were amazing couldn’t ask for more. Only downside is that you only get to spend 3 hours at see and then 4 hours on a beach which I think is far to long to be on a beach especially that it’s so close to the hotel. I would have liked to spend more time on water. The restaurant on the beach was great and food was good.

Lovely cruise, one stop for snorkelling, not stops, nothing to be seen in the water. So if you enjoy snorkelling and this is the main reason to book this experience, just don’t. The restaurant on the beach was lovely. You don’t get to visit Sal Reí, so the pictures are a bit misleading. All you do is get on the catamaran, sail for a couple of hours with one stop, then on the beach at the restaurant for 4 hours and back.

Great day out and value for money. Catamaran lovely and you are provided with drinks and snacks. Beach was beautiful and the lunch was superb. Only negative is that the beach area did not have a shower to use after a swim in the ocean. Sun beds extremely comfortable.

The catamaran trip itself was excellent but is only for 3hrs , you get dropped off at plage de chalves & the meal was nice but there wasn’t enough seats so we sat away from each other & after 1 drink you had to pay for drinks & were due to stay at the beach for 4hrs - not sure why? It wasn’t a gorgeous place & is 15 min walk from hotel beach with free drinks - got a cab to the hotel & left

cheap make of drinks on Catamaran Beer + soft drinks (no wine) Staff very friendly Bus pick us up from the Catamaran and tuck us to restaurant which was on the beach limited menu at restaurant plus you only allocated 1 small beer or soft drink per person (no wine with your meal not included) you had to pay extra

Pick up good on time, short trip to harbour and onto catamaran; not easy getting onto catamaran if you’ve got mobility problems, steps are uneven and everyone had to be helped on board. Sailed round harbor and out to sea, we did stop to swim and snorkel, but sea was not clear enough and the current is very strong, I can swim well and found it difficult getting out of the sea up the ladder. Felt catamaran trip was cut short a bit. No one seemed to know what plan was we thought we'd get dropped by catamaran at a beach for lunch, but ended back where we started and then a coach took us. Felt dumped at restaurant for too long. Maybe would have been better if the weather had been better though!

The catamaran was amazing and so we’re the staff, we finished the catamaran at 11:55 then had to wait in 32 degree heat for 35 minutes, older people were struggling, it was baking hot, no TUI rep for the whole day, not good enough, eventually picked up, no apologies, restaurant’s food good and beach nice

The experience was amazing as I'm someone that doesn't go in a swimming pool and frightened off water. I felt very relaxed and loved the whole trip. Only down side was they had someone taking photos and we paid 25 euros for the collection that was meant to be emailed to me, was told if they didn't come threw in 48hrs to contact them which they haven't replied to. Bit disappointing ??

Very dissatisfied with our 1st room as it smelled of damp, had water leaking from the ceiling which hotel thought by placing a bucket below was sufficient, someone entered our room while we were sleeping at night, this was very upsetting that someone had a duplicate key to our room as a result of this we demanded to be moved. Food was really nice, staff very friendly and helpful, entertainment was really good but only for an hour from 9-10pm. Overall very nice stay.

The boat trip and hosts were lovely. The restaurant that we stopped at provided a really good meal of chicken or tuna steak. The beach setting was beautiful- really recommend it. Not suitable for toddlers or those with mobility issues.

The boat trip was fantastic, the crew were lovely to be around and very welcoming. The swim stop was a good spot to swim. The lunch was beautiful as was the location of the restaurant on the beach. Four hours was far too long for us on the beach, and it would have been nice to have a guide on the coach parts to tell us more about the towns we drove through and the island in general. But all in all a brilliant day out.

This was the best day of our holiday. My 11 year old son and I both equally enjoyed the whole experience. The catamaran was spacious and not at all over crowded. The staff could not do enough for you and were so much fun. The location for lunch was absolutely stunning and the food good.

We spoke to the TUI rep who originally blamed us for missing the bus She then said it was wrong on the website and it is a trip for Tuesday The driver was polite but did not speak English We were dropped off at a dock with no real direction of where to go the Catamaran was nice but then we were picked up and taken to the restaurant and beach we were abandoned for 4 hours bored cos it rained Be aware fee for sun loungers

Was told snorkel STOPS and swimming STOPS but was only 1 stop And it was too long on a beach with no room for us to all sit on seats, had to go on long walk down beach to kill time and got burnt 3 hours is too long on beach

We think you should improve on your own reps in the hotel as there very not very helpful and we ended up booking via app . We spoke to Layla and another female rep who gave us presentation and we felt like they really didn’t want to book us or recommend much. We wanted to see so much more. Pity reps were so not motivated to shows us whats on offer. Local staff were fab

The trip was advertised as half a day and was actually a full day. The Catamaran trip involved circling the same bay a couple of times and the swimming/snorkeling offered nothing of significant interest to observe. It was assumed the trip would involve having lunch on a beach as part of the boat trip but this was a separate event reached by bus and we were in essence held captive for 4 hours when we could have had the same at our hotels at no extra cost.

The catamaran was a nice experience and being out in the fresh air on board the front of the boat. The restaurant was nice but limited choice of food and only one small drink was inclusive in the restaurant. The beach was lovely and being able to go in the sea was really nice. On the negative side, getting onto the catamaran was dangerous and anyone with mobility issues would struggle. Also only go snorkeling if you are a very strong swimmer as many struggled with the strong current.

Really lovely and friendly Cape Verde staff on the catamaran but our trip was full of your stereotypical “brits abroad” and they somewhat ruined our experience. All they did was moan (everyone is fed up about hearing about the Manchester flights!) and disrespect the Cape Verde culture in our opinion. I would recommend booking with local tour operators who have smaller groups. Tui guide was also nowhere to be seen whilst at the restaurant and as we stayed in the palace we walked back to our hotel and did not wait for the bus.

Catamaran and staff was great fun, and were lucky to see the whales. Also enjoyed the swim break. Unfortunately, the meal was at the bar next to our hotel and we had actually been to the evening before. Also, no vegetarian option. Feel more details on the information and booking form would have helped

Enjoyed the majority of the trip except from the rubber dingey transfer to the catamaran. Whilst this was advertised clearly it was unsafe. The guys had to pump it up prior to going on board and there was nothing to hold on to so having a toddler and baby we were very scared

Catamaran trip was excellent - saw some whales (too close tbh… a bit more thoughtfulness for the whales and their calves could be shown), great guys on the boat… however… The access to the small craft that transfer you from quayside to the boat (and back) is utterly abysmal and if this was in the UK it would not be allowed to proceed. There has clearly been no risk assessment completed, and given the island has no hospital, this has not been thought through at all. The sea and harbour were relatively calm on the day we were there (about a 2 foot swell) - and the guys from the boat were taking as much care as they could in the circumstances - but the poor facilities for what must be quite an earner is just unacceptable. A floating pontoon or platform could remove a lot of the risks presented by heaving seas and steps so badly eroded they are practically a slope. Had a lovely swim from the catamaran but a word of caution… it moves around on its moorings and you need to be a capable and confident swimmer in the current. The afternoon was great - fantastic restaurant (the best meal we had in 14 days) and a truly wonderful beach to enjoy, using the restaurant sun lounger facilities. Stunningly beautiful and no stress! As seemingly with all Tui trips though, no Rep so you are left to work it out for yourself, including whether it’s safe to go in the sea or not. We would do this trip again if we return, but in the knowledge of how risky it is to get in and out of the transfer craft and that this is the Atlantic Ocean and not the Mediterranean, and that facilities are not as advanced as similar trips in the Canaries.

The boat part of the excursion was really fun! The only thing I would say is that it isn’t a full day sailing around like the advertisement says. We went on the boat for a few hours and then got back on a coach to take us to a different beach to get lunch. That being said it was a lovely day! We were lucky enough to see some whales while out on the boat and the food served was lovely! I would not however the sea can be nutritiously rough in around here and while it’s perfectly safe if you get sea sick/motion sickness this may not be the excursion for you…
