Pets are allowed on the Walking Tour, but only Service Animals are allowed inside the Washington Monument

If you choose the option with the Washington Monument Ticket, this is a self-guided experience and your entry time to the monument will be for a time after the end of your walking tour. The Washington Monument requires all guests to go through physical security screening to access the monument. The security line normally takes around 15-30 minutes but can be even longer on major holidays. The inside of the monument does not allow smoking, vaporizers, e-cigarettes, food and drink (except water in clear bottles), or weapons
