The market has 2 sides to it , one side is more for the locals, fruit, veg etc , the other side is more for the tourists, clothes, Souvenirs etc &for the caves it is quite stunning & the history behind it

Extra costs not given to us at time of booking. Email stated 8 euros for caves and was 10 euros. Then museum st 5 euros ans train to get to caves 3 euros. These prices are each person. Guide was confusing when explaining what coach to get on for way back, instruction was not clear. Not enough time for small market at caves before getting back on coach. You need to clearly state when booking all the charges involved.

Kleiner Markt. Gut, wenn man sich selbst versorgen muss. Ansonsten eben ein Wochenmarkt mit Kleidung und Essen. Die Tropfsteinhöhle ist sehr interessant und schön anzusehen.

The market is mostly fruit, veg and clothes. Some souvenirs too. Our tour guide, Maria was fantastic. She kept the tour light and fun. The caves are amazing and well worth the visit. Lots of souvenirs to look/purchase near the cafe there too.

Whilst the market eas a typical one with lots of clothes, fabrics and food, the caves were absolutely amazing. We have visited many other caves before but these were by far the best. I would definitely recommend taking the lovely little train up to the cave entrance from the coach park as quite a walk/ hill in the heat. ( 3 euros return). The walkways inside the caves were excellent and take you within inches of the stalactites and stalagmites so watch your head.Back at the hotel by 3.30.Great.

Great

The caves were very interesting but admission prices shown at booking were incorrect. Instead of 8 euros each we paid 10 euros each for the caves and a further 5 euros each for the museum tour. Also, more should be made of the fact that there are a few very narrow gaps to squeeze through, anyone a bit on the large size would probably struggle. The market was huge and varied, the food stalls were fascinating.

Poor

Spent too long at the markets can be easily walked around in an hour with stopping and looking at the stalls 2 hours is too long. There is nothing else in the area to do once you have finished at the markets. The caves are beautiful however once you are there your straight upto the cave, round the cave then back down and onto the transport with no time to have food or a drink & barely enough time to use the toilets.

The bus was on time, we had the opportunity to walk into town and along the promenade as well as looking around the market which had everything ! The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information on the history of Halkidiki. There was a queue for the tickets to the cave but this was due to new staff members in the kiosk, costs 10 euros cave and 5 euros museum - caves were stunning and lots of interesting exhibitions in the museum including the skull of petrlona man, bones and fossil

Time allocated for the market vist was far to long, a hour would have been more than enough. Most of the group were back and ready to board the coach 45 mins early. The caves on the other hand was amazing and so interesting. The guide was very informative and very knowledgeable about the caves.

Too long at market, as it was small, no where else to walk or enjoy a coffee. The caves were beautiful, but not enough time outside to enjoy lovely view and a drink. Nearly got left behind as didn't hear guide let us know time for bus. Overall not great .

Great

The market was quite large but mainly featured fruit and vegetables stalls. So we would have probably been better off looking around the town instead. The caves were well worth a visit, although be aware that at the time of writing the entrance fee is €10 not €8 as stated on the Tui app. There is an additional €5 charge if you want to look around the small museum. Our guide was very knowledgeable and didn't go on like some guides.

This was a great tour and the caves were much more interesting than we thought. Its a newly reopened attraction apparently. There are steps up to the caves which wouldnt be suitable for the less able, but there is a little train to take you part way if needed, which is an extra cost. Also it wasnt clear until we had booked that the caves were an extra cost. Think this should be made clearer. It was good though. The market was big and good to see all the local produce for locals.

Unfortunately it was raining so many market traders didn't show up, meaning there was only fruit, vegetables, meat and fish for sale (no souvenir type products). No official stop for lunch but we were directed on how to find coffee shops etc. Guide was excellent and very informative. Cave was busy due to rain as well but interesting and some nice souvenir shops at the bottom of the hill.

We really enjoyed the trip. The caves were great. The market was no different to any market in the uk . The trip was a long day and at no point were we given an opportunity to have food and a drink. It was just quick swigs of water when we got chance. Instructions were confusing and no one had any idea what was happening throughout the trip. It could have resulted in people missing and being late back.

This was a limited European market where the range if things to look at was limited. The caves were superb and some of the best we have seen. However the european reaction to brexit creating a charge for the british which felt insulting. Having minor mobility issues the steps to the cave entrance were not mentioned unlike the walk up hill.

The market is a very traditional market, offering plenty of food, clothes and other items at very reasonable prices. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of interesting information on the coach ride to the caves and the caves themselves. The caves were very impressive and although you had to weave through a couple of gaps, it didn't feel too tight or claustrophobic in any way.

The Caves at Petralona were as expected a wonder of nature ,great tour and guide . more time in the caves would have been preferable, felt a little rushed. The market was like any other in the world with exception to the honey and homemade ouzi , a little unremarkable. Far too march time allocated for the market

The trip itself was very good. We were waiting over an hour for the coach to pick up up. Apparently an email had been sent to TUI out of hours informing them of a change of pick up time but this wasn’t picked up or transmitted to us at all. v annoying as you don’t want to be getting up early for no reason on holiday. Perhaps mention that food is available but perhaps take some snacks yourself. The coach broke down which couldn’t be avoided. Overall a good trip
