What to expect

Experience the feeling of weightlessness and discover the Red Sea’s marine life with a choice of diving and snorkelling options in Marsa Alam.Half-day PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): briefing, basic skills in shallow water and a guided dive from the boat to explore deeper areas.Daily diving (1-day to 5-day diving package): a flexible dive program for qualified divers. You can book any number of days.PADI Scuba Diver 2-day course: three confined water sessions, knowledge development and two open‑water dives from the boat. This qualification allows you to dive to 12 m with a PADI professional.PADI Scuba Diver 4-day course: five confined water sessions, knowledge development and four open‑water dives. Once qualified, you can dive to 18 m (12 m for ages 10–11) with another certified diver.PADI Advanced Open Water Diver: if you already have the Open Water rating (or equivalent) you can go on to the next level of training. This involves one check/fun dive and five course dives. A deep dive and a navigation dive are required, and the remaining three are chosen with your instructor. The certification allows diving to 30 m (21 m for junior divers).Skills review and 1 fun dive: for qualified divers who have not dived in the last 12 months, this refresher course is required. It features a confined water refresher followed by a guided dive.1-day snorkeling for non-divers: non-divers can join the boat for a full day of snorkelling or simply enjoy the experience on board.

What's included

For daily diving: full day on the boat with two guided dives, 12L air tanks, weight belt and weights. 3rd dive sometimes available (€20 + tax)

For courses: all equipment and taxes for the duration of the course. All dives required for the course (from house reef or by boat)

What to remember

Extra fees to be paid on-site:

PADI scuba diver 2-day course: a digital manual is required for each student (€25). After successfully completing the course, a certification processing fee is payable to PADI (€65 + tax). You can upgrade your certification by completing an additional 2 days to gain the full Open Water Diver certification

PADI Scuba Diver 4-day course: a digital manual is required for each student (€25). After successfully completing the course, a certification processing fee is payable to PADI (€30 + tax)

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (2-day course): for a few of the dives, such as the night dive, an extra charge on top of the course fee applies. A digital manual is required for each student (€25). After successfully completing the course, a certification processing fee is payable to PADI (€30 + tax)

Know in advance:

Those taking part in diving activities will be asked to complete a medical statement on-site. For courses and DSD: if you answer "yes" to any question (or have any doubts), you must obtain medical clearance from a doctor. For fun dives: you will be asked to sign the daily medical form to confirm you are fit to dive. If you are unable to answer 'no' to all questions and do not have medical clearance, the start of the activity may need to be postponed until a doctor's opinion has been provided

The minimum age for all activities is 10 years, and the maximum is 65 years. For the 2‑day PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, the minimum age is 12 years and the maximum is 65 years

Tour duration and pick‑up time may vary depending on operating conditions and hotel location

A copy of your passport will be required during the confirmation process

Remember to bring:

Swimwear, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, lunch box and water (or purchase lunch and water on-site for an extra cost)

Your passport or a passport copy, as well as your certification card and log book if you are already a certified diver

Excellent

Did both open water and advanced open water with TUI during my holiday. Both courses were organised very well, the boat was docked right next to my hotel, so a transfer wasn't necessary. I'm very happy with the amount of service and options you get for this price. With a special shout out for Ahmed and Taki, the best instructors in Egypt! I would highly recommend doing this excursion during your time in Marsa Alam!

Een top ervaring om je PADI in Egypte te kunnen halen! Met de Open Water cursus, georganiseerd door Emperor, hebben we 3 dagen enorm kunnen genieten van al het moois dat de rode zee te bieden heeft. We hebben gelijk ook de advanced cursus via tui geboekt voor later in de week, dat zegt denk ik genoeg! Speciale dank voor instructeur Ahmed door wie we super fijn gecoacht zijn in dit proces!
