Leave Paris behind for a day and discover the beauty, history and architecture of the Loire Valley. Travel by air-conditioned coach to two of the region’s most iconic Renaissance castles, accompanied by an expert English-speaking guide.The first stop is Château de Chambord, one of the largest and most impressive castles in the Loire Valley. After an introduction to its royal history, enjoy time to explore the castle independently, admiring its magnificent rooms, remarkable staircases and panoramic terraces. Continue to the historic town of Blois, where you'll have free time to purchase lunch, stroll through the town centre or simply enjoy its charming atmosphere.In the afternoon, visit the elegant Château de Chenonceau, beautifully spanning the River Cher. Discover its richly decorated interiors, fascinating history and magnificent gardens during a self-guided visit. Depending on the departure date and option selected, the experience can also include a tasting of regional Loire Valley wines in the Chenonceau area.Relax on the return journey to Paris after a memorable day exploring some of France’s most celebrated castles and landscapes.

Itinerary and wine tasting sessions are subject to change, including maybe not being available on Sundays
Castle interiors are explored independently, with historical introductions and assistance from your guide throughout the day

Meeting point:
Meet your guide 15 minutes before departure at the entrance to the catacombs. He/she will be holding a sign up to identify themselves. To arrive at the Catacombs by Metro, please take Line 4 or Line 6 to the Denfert-Rochereau metro stop and exit using “Sortie 1”; the entrance to the Catacombs can be found directly across the street from this exit.

Pickup with name on bus. Ratri and Raymond professional and very knowledgeable. Mercedes bus, very clean and comfortable. Choice of itinerary just what I wanted! Not too much and good contrast. Time was short in Blois but I enjoyed Burger restaurant as recommended. No downsides!

Our guide, Adam, was excellent. He brought history to life with the stories that he related concerning the royals who inhabited and built these castles. Pace was good and the included lunch and wine tastings were delicious.
