San Sebastián, Hondarribia, Hendaye, and Getaria from Bilbao

Begin the day with a departure from Bilbao by coach. As you travel towards the Basque-French coast, enjoy the scenic landscapes that unfold along the way. The first stop is Hendaye, a French seaside town known for its long sandy beach and gastronomy.The journey continues to the town of Hondarribia, near the French border. Stroll through its medieval old quarter with cobbled streets and colourful houses, explore the lively harbour area, and admire views from the Hondarribia Castle.Next, you'll arrive in the elegant city of San Sebastián (Donostia), where you’ll take in views of the Bay of La Concha and the Cantabrian Sea. A visit to the Miramar Palace and its gardens is followed by free time to wander through the old town and sample the famous local pintxos.The final stop is Getaria, a traditional fishing village known for its maritime heritage and coastal setting. Soak up its atmosphere and, if you wish, visit the Balenciaga Museum dedicated to the designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. From here, you’ll also catch glimpses of the nearby towns of Zumaia and Zarautz.On the return to Bilbao, relax and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline, bringing to a close a day filled with history, culture, and the flavours of the Basque Country.
