For most of the tour, you will be transported by a 8-place minibus

In Bad Lauchstädt, Walkenried, Torfhaus, Ilsenburg and Wernigerode you'll also move on foot. However, you should not walk more than 5 to 6 km

If you intend to hike up the Brocken or take the Brockenbahn, it is advisable to book in advance on your own
