Download this audio‑guided tour and explore Rocky Mountain National Park at your own pace, discovering some of Colorado's most striking mountain landscapes along the way.Follow a scenic route that climbs above the treeline and crosses the alpine tundra for around 11 miles, reaching elevations of over 12,000 feet. Along the drive, you'll pass several viewpoints such as the Rainbow Curve Outlook and the Mushroom Rocks overlooks, as well as short, accessible walking trails near Sprague Lake and Bear Lake.You can also choose to drive the historic Old Fall River Road, once used by the park's earliest visitors. As you travel, the audio commentary shares stories about the people who played a key role in the creation of Rocky Mountain National Park, including the figure often referred to as the park's 'father', and the other influential characters who fought and invested heavily to preserve this area.The commentary also highlights areas where wildlife is often seen, helping you stay alert and observe animals while driving through the park.

It's suggested to drive the Trail Ridge Road return between Estes Park and Grand Lake in a single day, you will have plenty of time for stops. Consider adding extra days if you want to follow the Old Fall River Road, and stop for wildlife watching and hikes
The Trail Ridge Road, between Estes Park and Grand Lake, is 49 miles (78 km) one way and takes about 2 hours, plus time for stopping at the recommended viewpoints and places of interest. There are options for other short drives in the Park, including Bear Lake and the Old Fall River Road
