Whether you are an avid botanist, a nature-lover, or just love peace and tranquillity, a visit to Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World is the perfect day out.Perched on the side of the hill, Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World is home to a variety of vibrant birds from over 60 countries including king parrots, corellas, lorikeets, and black cockatoos.Discover idyllic waterfalls, spectacular views of the Glasshouse Mountains, and meet more than 700 native and exotic feathered friends as you wander through the four walk-through aviaries. Be prepared for a bird to land on your shoulder and take the opportunity to take photos! Also, make sure you take time to enjoy a chilled-out Picnic on lush lawns overlooking the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains.

What to remember

Please note the "choose a time" option is to pick an aviary tour time. Access to the aviary can only be obtained via a tour. An aviary tour is approximately 50 minutes

Entry to each aviary tour is allowed once only (per day)

To complete an aviary tour and see the Gardens you must arrive by 1.45pm

A child under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult

Valid ID must be presented on entry

Bring comfortable walking shoes (closed-in shoes preferable for the aviary tours), sunscreen, and hat
