Hamilton tells the life of Alexander Hamilton. An orfan that from St. Croix island made his way to become George Washington's trusted aide during the Revolutionary War.The musical score is a fusion of hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway. The book, music and lyrics are the brainchild of Lin-Manuel Miranda. The production is directed by Thomas Kail, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, with musical supervision and orchestrations managed by Alex Lacamoire. The narrative is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton.This critically acclaimed production has been showered with accolades, including 11 Tony Awards (Best Musical included), 7 Olivier Awards (including Best New Musical), the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.
