What to expect
You can add another stamp to your passport on this day trip. You'll trade Turkey for Greece, as you make the short hop across the Aegean Sea to the island of Rhodes.After a catamaran cruise, you'll arrive in Rhodes town. Here, you can explore the capital's pretty harbour, walled old quarter and upmarket New Town. You'll spend the morning ticking off sights like the charming Street of the Knights and the huge Palace of the Grand Masters. Make your way along the maze of cobbled streets, where you'll be surrounded by fountains, medieval churches and shops selling handmade goods and Greek delicacies. Speaking of food, you'll have a choice of hidden bistros or bustling waterfront bars for lunch.Later, you can head to Mandraki harbour. It was once home to the Colossus of Rhodes – a 30-metre-tall statue, ranked as a Wonder of the Ancient World.

Really enjoyed the harbour and the old town of Rhodes. We ended up taking a taxi to explore other parts of Rhodes and we are so glad we did. Bad - the queues at Rhodes Passport Control. Not very organised and not clearly marked where you queue so had to hope for the best.

The transfer didn’t turn up so I got up at 6am to sit for 2 hours and the bus driver didn’t have the common sense to either call the rep or hotel to let me know he had broken down. If he had I could have got a taxi to the port and made the boat. Shame as didn’t have time to re arrange

This is a great trip to get a taster of Rhodes if never been there Only downside is…..if you’re staying at Marmaris Bay Resort we had to make our own way to the port & back again

The booking was registered in the incorrect name & had to be changed at customs. Unfortunately the weather was bad; but couldn't book for the day which was fully booked. Customs was very slow considering the booking was already booked & was easier going through customs at Bournemouth & dalaman.

It was 12 h trip from our hotel, but we had only a few hours to enjoy Rhodes. The Old Town was quite big to walk around, but not many streets were interesting. In the main part there were too many shops with cheap not original things like on Turkish bazaar which was very disappointed. I wouldn't come back there especially for that price.

Shame there was two very large cruise ships there no room to walk around way to many people on the inland couldn’t walk and see wot was in the shops very over priced was charged £75 for a Dona kebab for two myself we was ripped off very upset will never go there again and I will be telling people not to bother to go there

Really enjoyed visiting Rhodes. The ferry was busy, I was disappointed that outside views were restricted and there was a lot of queuing in both directions. Not great value for money compared to a ferry journey in Scotland which would be less than half the price.

The old town of Rhodes was magical, so much history to explore. Walking the pebbled streets surrounded by buildings still as quaint and beautiful as they were hundreds of years ago was fabulous. We enjoyed a tasty Greek lunch in a local restaurant which was excellent in taste and value for money. If you love shopping there is something for all tastes and many gifts and treasures were purchased. We ended our trip relaxing on a small pebbled beach. A delightful day

No or very poor English speaking driver and rep at the port. Mic on the bus not working little to no ********** about the trip only passport control. very old bus. No return times given by rep or email we had to ask on the boat. No sign of a Tui rep at all. Could have done the same abs saved £40. Rhodes it's self is stunning.

The ferry crossing was efficient, comfortable and made good time. The embarking and disembarking at both ports lack direction and information. On issuing ticket at marmaris port office , teller failed to tell us the ticket issued was also the return ticket. We ended up queuing at the kiosk in Rhodes for 20 minutes were in fact we could have gone straight to border control and onto the ferry.

All well organised, pick up from hotel, port check-in and crossings all very smooth. Suggest that the hop on , hop off bus could be offered as an add on option, this is a great way to get an overview of Rhodes when you arrive. Cafes bars etc are expensive.

Rhodes is very beautiful but the travelling to and from was a really bad experience we were herded on and off the boat no thoughts for passengers well being, the person that met us at the hotel onto the bus just got off and not told us what to do or to expect. My anxiety level was not good.

Om er te komen ben je lang bezig bij de douane, daarna de wachttijd bij de boot. Op het eiland is meer dan genoeg te zien, maar dan wel met een volwassen gezelschap! En voor de terug reis geld het zelfde, door de douane en voordat je op de boot zit kost weer veel tijd, je kan de dag effectiever in Turkije zelf besteden is mijn mening.

Enjoyed the day but did think value was money was poor. Lots of waiting around. In all you are there 4 to 4.5 hours. Did the open top bus once there - hop on hop off - 50 euros for 2 adults & 1 kidthought that was steep. Loved the old town, if I went back would spend more time there (at port) & def wouldn’t get the bus tour, only a 10 m walk to the centre. Ferry over no guide/audio - barely see out the window- 7euros for crisps/cofee. beautiful island would prob holiday there.

Rhodes was a lovely place for a visit , some restaurants very expensive £75 pond for two shish kebabs , which looked more like and tasted like a spicy sausage then a kebab two drinks, we also found a lot of shops would only take Euros and not pound sterling,

Nous avons eu un problème pour monter sur le catamaran car quelqu'un nous a oubliés ainsi qu'une autre personne. Après une heure de **********, un monsieur de tui de l'hôtel Golden rock est arrivé et nous a pris dans sa voiture privée. Nous sommes arrivés dans les 10 dernières minutes. Après l'excursion une autre surprise il n'y avait personne pour venir nous chercher. Grâce à l'aide du monsieur du bus n°10, nous sommes arrivés à hotel Golden rock, d'où nous sommes retournés à notre hôtel.

Absolute joke, shambles at the port in Rhodes, standing in a line for over an hour with a seven year old in the mid day sun, no shelter no water. Then told don’t bother booking in after being directed there, put into another huge line, everyone jumping place. Do not do this with young children

Die TUI Reiseleiter hat alles gut organisiert ihre Erklärungen waren sehr hilfreich. Die Ausführung seitens Die fremd Firma waren leider nicht so ausführlich zu Die Erklärung um wieviel Uhr man am hafen sein sollte. Trotzdem eine schöne Ausflug.

Lange boottrip op gesloten schip. Geen gids op het eiland Rhodos! Mss enkele tips ( waar eten , wat te bezoeken, musea, historische gebouwen enz) meegeven voordat mensen vertrekken en mapje route rhodos + route naar info toerisme ( niet heeft internet of werkt ermee. Google maps werkt niet op het eiland !) Te kort om het centrum te verkennen . Je bent 5 u onderweg en slechts 5 uren ter plaatste. Mss aanbieden met 1 overnachting op het eiland Rhodos of latere terug vaart , indien mogelijk.

Rhodes is fantastic and certainly worth the trip. I don’t know the cost to just get a bus and the ferry compared to TUI excursions price but really they are the same thing. There isn’t a guide or any TUI staff just picked up from outside a different hotel even though the mini bus passed ours twice then left to get the ferry. Still loved it!

Great trip. Boat left Marmaris at 9am took 1hr to reach Rhodes. Had 5.5hrs to roam in Rhodes old town. Plenty of markets, bars restaurants. Lovely scenery beautiful place to visit. Highly recommend. Lots of museums take aaround1hr each.

Ich musste sehr lange suchen das ich Wasser kaufen konnte, Rundreise war schnell..und unübersichtlich.Preisleistungsverhältniss war teuer. Eine schöne Insel aber kein schönen Strände. Mann muss über Bundesstraße rüber gehen um am Strand zu sein!

Small cramped shuttle bus, chaos at Turkey passport control entering and leaving. Yes due to Eid, but Eid occurs yearly. So forward planning would have helped. The officers at passport control were friendly and helpful. Departure times were on time and the boat clean.

Rhodes is a beautiful town to walk around and full of history, just don't forget your wallet for all the shops and restaurants. Going with TUI made us easy as all the port fees etc are all included in the tour price.

The Rhodes day trip was very nice. Rhodes is not far and experiencing being able to go to Greece for the day was very exciting. It’s beautiful there. Very touristy and quite expensive but enjoyable. Had a lovely lunch and visited some beautiful shops including a favourite sun hat shop. This was a second time visit. Very nice though and would recommend anyone to go!

The trip itself was lovely, Rhodes lived up to our expectations, everyone from the pickup, boat were very helpful. Unfortunately the trip back to our hotel wasn't as easy, this was due to the driver going straight passed our hotel and when he was asked about our hotel he just got took the next turning and dropped us there, which we both found difficult as we both have mobility issues

I feel we should be given until 6pm to leave and get back, and not 3.30pm. This woukd be better to see more of the island and worth the money spent. Overall we are planning on heading back to Rhodes for another trip soon.

We enjoyed the trip by Catamaran. It would be nice to have some information while travelling. About Rhodes or some details of anything else as we had an hour on the boat. Loved the old town with the cobbled streets etc. We walked along the harbour! The time in Rhodes was just right for a coffee/ lunch stop and shopping!

Need to warn travellers of queues arriving into and leaving Rhodes as its a small immigration/passport control. Also would recommend planning a tour ahead of arrival as otherwise you will be left to explore on your own and could miss things.

It took an hour to get through passport control in Rhodes, each way taking two hours off the time afforded in Rhodes. Rhodes itself is beautiful and worth a visit but you don't get time there. This is an expensive trip compared to others that are available

The driver to the port was the best part of the trip. It was chaos at the port and passport control both ways took longer than the actual day. It was a very expensive trip for so little in return and we feel your rep sold us a trip that was hyped up and gave very little for the amount of money we paid. Will not recommend to anybody. Don’t like feeling ripped off by Tui

Nice day out. Found Rhodes a bit expensive especially food and drink but that didn’t spoil the trip. Didn’t need a guide as we were informed at the port about what to do, what time to make sure we were back at port for return journey and what bus number to look for when returned to turkey. We went in low season so was still warm but not overcrowded which helped. Recommend doing this trip.

For four house I felt the price was a little too much no guide not good at all . No TUI reps you had to do your own tour The trip isn’t long enough and we did have to leave so early we sat around for 1 hr waiting to check cur passport . Way to early for this trip

We arrived at the port 1 hour before departure but the shuttle bus driver was putting pressure of a deadline but the shuttle took 15 minutes. There was no safety announcements on the ferry in either directions as to what to do in the event of an emergency. Since this was a trip with out a guide it would have been helpful if your Rep when selling the trip explained that we didn't need to obtain a returning boarding card.

From hotel to Rhodes town took just over 3 hours each way as there are long queues at passport control at both ports. Top tip - make sure you are first off the ferry so sit as near to the door you enter via to be one of the first off. Rhodes old town was lovely but we wished we had more than 4 hours there bearing in mind we spent nearly 7 hours travelling.

Rhodos ist eine wunderschöne Insel. Aber...wir wurden zum Schiff gefahren und abgeholt. Das wars. Keine Infos wann wir wo wieder an der Fähre sein müssen. Der Aufwand und die Zeit die man in Warteschlange durch mehrere Passkontrollen etc aufwendet reduziert die Zeit auf 3-4 Stunden. Unterwegs ist man von ca. 08:00 - 19:00 /19:30. Da wir Rhodos Stadt schon kannten war es für uns einfacher. Wir persönlich fanden den Aufwand zu hoch für die netto Zeit die man zur Verfügung hat.

Es könnte etwas mehr Zeit auf der Insel sein. Mit Anreise + Passkontrolle etc. geht schon sehr viel Zeit drauf. 3-4 Stunden Freie Zeit auf der Insel sind daher viel zu wenig.

War einfach ein Super Tag.Die Schlangen bei der Ein und Ausreise wurden super schnell abgearbeitet.Und so blieb ganz viel Zeit Rhodos zu erkunden. Vielleicht noch ein kleiner Vorschlag: Wenn man den Haltepunkt für die Stadtrundfahrt Bussen noch in den Prospekt schreiben würde wäre das eine große Hilfe. Ansonsten : Danke für einen schönen Tag! ??

Ultimately the experience of visiting Rhodes is a positive one however the queuing situation for passport control could do with improvement. There is no protection from the sun when in a long queue- I witnessed people arguing due to the lack of clear process which in turn left people angry as they felt pushed in front of which wasn't pleasant for bystanders. There is shade in the cafe but not once you start to queue making it uncomfortable standing in the heat, obviously leaving passengers upset
