You'll be kitted out in cosy winter overalls to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the tour. Next, driving licences are checked for those who will be operating a snowmobile, followed by a comprehensive safety briefing outlining important guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience.Once everyone is prepared, it's a short 200-metre walk to the snowmobiles. Before setting off, your guide will provide detailed driving instructions. After all the safety procedures have been covered, an expert guide will lead you through the tranquil arctic forest and across the frozen lake on a snowmobile, offering awe-inspiring scenery for fantastic photo opportunities.Upon reaching the frozen lake, you'll master the skill of drilling a hole in the ice and learn the most effective techniques to catch fish, all while enjoying the peaceful nature and crisp air. What to remember

Know in advance:

A snowmobile is shared with another adult, single riding is available for a supplement

Children will be seated in a sledge behind the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that one of the parents sits with a small child for its safety. If a child (over 140 cm) wishes to sit on a snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged

Please inform the local operator at least 48 hours before the start of the activity which office you will be arriving at, unless you specified the meeting location at the time of booking

The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a self-liability of 950€ per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15€, reducing self-liability to 150€. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour

Remember to bring:

In order to drive a snowmobile, a valid driver’s license (class B) is required. A provisional license or a picture of the driving license won’t be accepted. The driving license must be recognizable in English. If you do not bring your driving license, you won’t be able to drive a snowmobile and no refund can be offered

Meet your guide at either the Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park Safari House in Santa Claus Village (Joulumaantie 5) or the Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 8). The office in Santa Claus Village is located to the left of Santa’s Reindeer. The City Office in the center of Rovaniemi is located at the intersection of Valtakatu and Koskikatu. Please check in at the front desk inside the office with a member of staff.
