What to expect
Dreamy blue-green water is what makes Bacalar lagoon so special. This trip packs in lots of activities surrounded by dazzling scenery as you explore cenotes, islets, beaches and forts. It's an adventure taking in some wonderful coastal locations and plenty of nature.Enjoy tales of the Pirate Channel while cruising its waters imagining the legends and swashbuckling action of times gone by. Next, take some time for a blissful swim in the shallow waters of Bacalar, soaking up the vibrant hues of this incredible spot.Continue your journey to the mystical Cenote Negro, one of the revered underground caverns filled with fresh water that the Mayans loved so much. Then relax amid the tranquillity of Isla Pájaros, a natural haven where you can explore or simply stretch out and enjoy the peace. After lunch in a restaurant, you'll head to San Felipe Fort for a guided visit before setting off back to base.

They put us in a very small minibus and my partner had to initially sit in a squashed back seat when there were children (different guests) in seats with more space at the front for over 3 hours and thus hurt his knees. Only when he complained, the guide said on the way back that the children had to sit at the back and we got moved to more space. This should be organized from the start and if possible use larger coaches or advise families with children that as full this happens. Bacalar nice.

The rep for this trip was amazing. As it is such a long transfer maybe it should be a helicopter trip. It might cost more but it would be well worth it.

L’hôtel extraordinaire, sa situation exceptionnelle, les restaurants de grande qualité même le choix du restaurant familial, tout était parfait . le personnel disponible, agréable et très souriant. Et Maria notre correspondante Tui toujours à l’écoute .

Het meer zelf is werkelijk indrukwekkend. We startten met zon en eindigden met onweer, wat fantastische kleurschakeringen opleverde. Het was de lange transfertijd van 3 uur zeker waard.

It was a long drive back just over 3 hours and no toilet stop and no toilet on the bus so this needs to be built in for people’s comfort. It was an amazing experience but a simple thing like this needs to be accounted for.

Trop cher si vous comparez chez d’autres tours opérateurs qui seront plus abordables. Changement de bus à Tulum (logistique du prestataire Ekinox). Si le 1er guide n’était pas très accommodant, la 2nde guide était d’une gentillesse & d’un professionnalisme à toute épreuve. Clim mise à fond (on a demandé de baisser la clim à plusieurs reprises) lors du premier trajet. Pas très agréable cette première partie de trajet et le retour car on a du changer encore de guide/chauffeur pour renter.

trajet un peu long avec changement de bus qui font perdre du temps et manque de confort visite du fort pas très intéressante voir nul à la place plus de temps libre dans bacalar sinon pour le reste très bien

Guides were excellent. The bus was packed too tight with 15 passengers. EVERYONE had no leg room and were VERY CRAMPED in the mini-bus. Need to fix this!!! Lunch was delicious and plenty of food!!! Loved that! Masry Lou Parson
