What to expect
Two of Sicily's highlights are in the spotlight on this full-day tour. You'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Valley of the Temples, an archaeological site that's loaded with what's left of seven 2,500-year-old shrines, including the Temple of Concordia – it's ranked as one of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world. Afterwards, you'll head to one of the top ten most unique coastlines as named by TripAdvisor – Scala dei Turchi. Giuseppa, one of our expert local guides, says “the Valley of the Temples is landscaped with lots of flowering almond trees, another staple of Sicily, that will really add something extra to the photos you take here.”First up is one of the largest archaeological sites in the world, the immense Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. It packs in the remains of seven temples perched on a high ridge, all of which you'll see, including the ruins of the Temple of Zeus and Concordia Temple at the end of the Sacred Way. The temples here are over 2,500 years old, so there are a lot of pages in the history books to uncover. You'll be given headphones to hear your guide, too, so you won't miss any details.Afterwards, you'll make your way to the bright white Scala dei Turchi, a natural limestone staircase that is dug into the cliffs and weaves its way down to the sea. You'll have some time to unwind and go for a swim before heading back to the hotel.

The guide, Salvatore, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The site was interesting. Only downside was the 50 minutes from our pickup to the last hotel pickup (in different towns) before we set off to the Temples so a long time sitting in the coach.

Er kwam veel regen. Zodoende naar een winkelcentrum. Ik had liever een andere invulling. Winkelen was niet mijn keuze, maar een meer cultureel plan b was meer op haar plaats geweest.

Quite expensive as we had to pay entry as well would rather know full price. Would personally rather have a little more time at the temple or free time and less at Scala dei Turchi. Lovely view of the steps then 2hrs free time as redhead and can’t sit on the beach so only other options was to stay in a cafe.

Temples were amazing Turkish Steps were not available to us as they were fully booked Alexandra was a pleasant guide The lady at the Temples was full of knowledge and she made everything clear and understood Excellent guide Being in the heat of the day at the beach and Turkish steps was a challenge although there was a lovely beach lounge and restaurant however it was exceptionally busy and expensive for a light lunch Having to pay 17 euros each for entrance to the Temples was a bit of a shock t

After the tour around the temples we were taken to a beach. There was only one restaurant which was quite expensive. I feel a better choice is required for the lunch venue.

It was a long day 12 hours.A hour and half pick up people from orther hotels and one hour dropping people off .I was first on and last off. Going to the beach was a waist of time . Everyone would like to go back to their hotels, just go to the temples.

Insgesamt sehr gute Organisation ! Unsere Erwartung war etwas mehr gut erhaltene Tempel zu sehen!! Leider war alles in englischer Sprache - so konnten wir wichtige Informationen während der Carreise über Kultur und Landwirtschaft nicht mitverfolgen. Kompetente tolle Reisebegleiterin .

Dygtig guide med massiv viden - måske liiidt mange historier, men sjovt... Valle del Turchi lidt træls, da man skulle betale 30 Euro for en stol ved stranden - men ellers flot.

We like the excursion very much. However, the end stop at Scala dei Turchi could be improved. We were at the Lounge Beach, which was ridiculously overpriced for the service offered, both food and beach. I would suggest changing the location to a different place near Scala dei Turchi. Also, it would help a lot if an itinerary was available, including food options (with approximate prices if possible) - as tourists, our internet access during the trip was very limited despite european SIM cards.

Roberto (apologies if name is spelt wrong) was a friendly, charismatic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. It was a very hot day, so she made sure we stopped in the shade too, which was greatly appreciated. There's a reasonable amount of walking but it didn't actually seem that bad. Well done.

Leider nicht in deutsch - Audio Guide in deutsch oder eine Mappe mit Informationen fehlte - dafür etwas zu teuer. Sehr nette Reiseleitung- nur leider nur englisch scala de Turchi hätte 1 Stunde Aufenthalt gereicht. Ausflug ging leider vor dem Frühstück los und unser Hotel Sea Palace gibt kein kostenloses Frühstücks Paket mit

Opas käytti radiota ja me kuuntelimme korvanapeilla. Kukaan 3 ryhmästämme ei saanut selvää mitä hän puhui, vaikka ääni tuli läpi. Laitteisto rätisi ja leikkasi korkeat äänet. Vaihtakaa laitteisto. Vapaata aikaa uimiseen ja syömiseen oli aivan liian vähän. Tunti lisää matkan pituuteen.

Salvatore was very informative and made the day interesting. I thought the tour was solely English speaking but Salvatore repeated everything in French too. This was very tiring especially when we were listening through the ear pieces

Agrigento was excellent, an amazing site and well worth a visit. Scala dei Turchi less so: we were dropped off at the main road and given information ablot the roadside snack bar and the one restaurant which was beachside, We chose the restaurant, as we were very hungry, however it was overpriced and food was poor. Our tour guide was very knowledgable, however she could have used a small flag to allow our group to find her more easily in the crowds.

We kregen veel informatie over Sicilie en haar geschiedenis door de zeer enthousiaste reisleidster Roberta. Daarna nog het heerlijke strand om even af te koelen. Erg goed gedaan en vooral het enthousiasme van Roberta maakte de ervaring extra leuk.

Sehr interessante Tour, eine ausgewogene Mischung von Kultur und Entspannung. Die mehr als 2500 Jahre alten Tempel in Agrigento sind absolut beeindruckend und sehenswert. Gute und kompetente Reiseleitung.

Enjoyed the Temple tour however was not expecting to be taken to an expensive seafood restaurant for lunch costing minimum €30 per head. There were no other options available where they drop you, so had no choice. My suggestion would be to take a packed lunch.

In de voucher stond dat de excursie in het Duits zou zijn. De gids sprak niet eens Duits. Bovendien waren er 5 Italianen bij zodat ze 2x moest uitleggen, in het Engels en in het Italiaans. Wij hadden bewust Duits gekozen, maar de excursie was in het Engels. Zij had dat niet bepaald, was het commentaar toen wij het meldden

Informationerne fra jeres siden inden rejsen var noget sparsomme og alene delvis rigtige. Turen skulle ifølge jer varer 4-8 timer, men den endte med at tage over 11 timer. Vedrørende mad undervejs, så var der intet inkluderet, men der blev gjort stop nogle steder, så det var muligt at få mad og drikke under turen.

Guiden og menneskerne omkring var rigtig søde og hjælpsomme. Det var lidt irriterende at guiden gentog alt på både italiensk og engelsk. Derudover kunne entre have været inkluderet i prisen.
