The experience of seeing the views and history were very good. The guide kept disappearing and she did not make herself very visible at one point we lost her completely. She did not manage her group very well.

It would have been better to spend more time in Pagnia it was a pretty little town that needed more then 15 minute free time. When we got to the Basilica there was a baptism so we didn’t have the opportunity to look round it properly as the family and friends were sitting in there waiting for it to begin it felt we were intruding. I think it needs to be hilighted that at the ruins there is a steep slope to go down and up we had a few older people in our group that found it very difficult.

We were picked up in Golden Beach; we carried on picking up for a further hour plus! We did get a bit of information about the island during that time. The first two stops at the monenstry and Alykes were very rushed. It would have been much better to have a longer, more relaxed stop at Alykes, especially after such a long time on the bus. It was then confusing about how long we would have in Panagia, the group ended up split and confused as to where to meet, before heading to Thassos town.

We really enjoyed the trip around the island. Our Guide was very knowledgeable. Only thing is we would have enjoyed less time on the coach and a little more free time exploring Alyki and Panagia. Maybe seeing another village or beach. The Monastry was lovely

We very much enjoyed all the visits during the day, and the information from our guide was excellent, our only down side to the day was that there was limited time to spend at each place, which we do understand as it is fitted into the single day, but as we said it was a very enjoyable trip, Thank you,

The Thassos explained friends trip was amazing. Our guide Tula was so informative and through the day told us a lot of information not just about where we stopped but about the whole island and areas we were driving past. All stops on the trip were lovely and so worth seeing. Would definitely do that tour again 🥰

All stops perfectly timed. Guide was excellent and the history immersive. Locations interesting and well curated. Last stop at Thassos Town could have been a bit longer to get to see the theatre. All transportation comfortable and well run.

Our guide Sula was very informative and friendly, driver drove safely and comfortably. Monastery, we could only access the small church and the gift shop. Lunch stop, beautiful. Would have liked a little more time at Alykes to be able to see the archaeological site and have a short swim. Was on the coach for over 8 hours but just looked around the scenery. Good to walk around Thassos town where we were then transferred to a taxi to take us back to Golden Beach. Panaghia was lovely too.

The Trip was perfectly organized. Tha Bus stops were not too long and not too short. The guide was verycknowledgeable. So, the tour was very insightful. As Germans we could easily understand what she explained. She speaks a clear English (C1). At the restaurant we couldveat our first Gyros on Thassos. It was very delicious and not at all expensive. Thank you for this amazing tour.

Fantastic guide couldn’t have wished for a better experience very knowledgeable and provides information and history throughout the trip. Monastery of Archangel Michael was one of highlights as was the mountain village in Panagia. Lunch stop was good and visits to Thassos town although would have liked a little more time to wander the shops

We were led to believe that we were going to what was advertised. We went to archeological sites which to me was a waste of time and cut off time down in other places. The places we visited only gave us a short time to explore. Would of liked more time . The restaurant where we ate was awful the staff were very rude and I thought that we could choose our own restaurant to eat at not have one chosen for us. I did not eat at thus restaurant so had no lunch all day

It is a good way to see around the edge of the island but the Archangel Michael monastery is a tourist attraction built around an old church. YOU MUST MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WOMEN MUST WEAR SKIRTS and not just trousers to cover their knees. Many on my trip we embarased at having to wear elasticated skirts over their trousers. Unfortunately, at Aliki the site was closed because of wildfire prevention. Panagia is a village in the mountains on the main road and geared to tourists with gift shops etc.

Got to see so many places of interest around the island you would never think about seeing, basically covering nearly the whole island and a stunning lunch in a stunning location, our guide had so much knowledge she shared with us, well worth going on.

A great way to see and get a feel for the island during your trip. The guide was really knowledgeable about Thassos and its history, so I felt like I got a lot out of the trip, The coffee and lunch spots were both in beautiful coastal spots and there was a good balance between coach travel and getting out and walking.

We waited for missing passengers so all day felt like we were playing catch up. Only had 45 minutes at Aliki beach after seeing ruins had 20 minutes to spend at beach. Nowhere near enough time. Thought we would get to spend more time at Panagia and liminos. Tour was okay great to see island but a lot of time was spent picking up guests and travelling. Spent more time in coach than visiting places. Would not do trip again.

The guide was brilliant but the itinerary needs to be changed . Those of us who didn’t want lunch , had no choice of where to go , no other options and were left deserted in an isolated location - lunch would have been better in the old town or even in Thassos where there was more options to look around , go shopping etc . You had the monopoly for lunch taking us to one Taverna only …..We did not get a chance for a real swim since the place that we were taken to , was ‘ crammed full ‘

Dominic was brilliant, very informative & knowledgeable, the island is beautiful in very different forms giving ideas for areas to visit on this holiday or future ones. The history of the island is interesting. There are a few hills to navigate but that is you option except where the restaurant is but the view from the restaurant is amazing so worth the walk.

The second stop at the beach didn't allow time for a swim which was implied in the advertising literature and whilst the historical aspect had added value towards the religious aspect of the site and was worthwhile I do question the time allocated which would have benefitted with longer time in Thassos Town itself.

It was a full 8 hour day. Overall an interesting trip but there was no opportunity to swim which was disappointing as it was so hot. The clothing advice didn’t mention that the monastery provides overskirts etc which would have enabled us to wear cooler clothing. Our guide was very knowledgeable but didn’t wait for the group to assemble or noise to die down, so at times it was very hard to hear her.

We were picked up at 8 o'clock. We travelled around the island for the next 90 minutes collecting other passengers. Once the tour began the guide was ok but spoke very fast and we couldn't always catch what she was saying. Overall, we didn't think it was worth the money and wouldn't recommend it.

Loved the Monastery. Panagia beautiful. Just didn’t feel the beach trips were necessary as we didn’t really have time for a dip - didn’t want to keep on travelling slightly damp! However the ruins at Aliki were very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The trip to the taverna at Faros was also beautiful.

I enjoyed the tour from start to finish. The tour guide provided a lot of information about various places in both English and German which was impressive. I particularly enjoyed stopping at the Holy Monastery of the Archangel Michael and Aliki Archaeological Site. It was fantastic to learn more about Thassos and to see a working monastery. Loved Panagia and it was definitely worth stopping to explore. Guide Mariana and driver Stavros were brilliant.

It was a very interesting tour we got lots more information from the guide that I expected Angela was amazing. I think we were lucky as there was only 17 and now party but would definitely recommend this trip as a way to learn a lot about Thassos

The overall trip was good and the guide was excellent but the fact that we were staying in Limenas meant the trip ended sooner for us. I think more time could have been spent at Panagia. We were staying at Hotel Lido and were told to wait by the ACS junction. The coach was over half an hour late and when it did arrive it stopped outside Hotel Lena much further down the road thus holding traffic up on a busy road until we managed to get to it.

Not worth the money Coach was cramped/hardly any leg room & air con was useless. Inadequate volume on microphone, resulted in majority of people in the coach, not being able to hear the Rep’s commentary. So all the information she was giving, was inaudible. Too long at the Monastery. Not enough time at the beach & a complete waste of time taking beach towels etc. Not enough time in Panagia either - free time would have been better, rather than too long at the Church there.

A very good choice of venues, giving a varied taste of the island. A great lunch stop & a good idea to just book the table, so guests can spend what they wish. Only downside was the long delay in the start time - 30 minutes late, which cut down the time spent at the beach, & Thassos town. Could warn ladies that trousers don't count as a cover up at the monastery. You still have to wear their cover up skirt. Could be clearer about who the guide was - we had two but weren't shown who she was

Likes:- Enjoyed seeing the rest of the island the views from the coach showing how green it is. Dislikes:- The coach pickup was 30-40 minutes late. The coach went passed some sites too fast. The people at the church visit could not wait to get rid of us and locked up really quick when we left. The beach stop was not long enough,too long looking at very small ruins. The stop at the restaurant we found a waste of time. The stop at the capital a waste of time as we was already staying there.

Very pleased with this trip which we have made on several previous holidays. Good selection of stops and Marianne is an excellent guide. We were also very happy with the lunch venue which has been used before on the trip and offers very good food together with beautiful views over the sea. Highly recommended.

First of all the bus was late. No TUI alert was sent out and no text message either. Other coaches doimg the same toir for Polish and German tourists picked up at out hotel on time. Too much time spent at the Aliki archeology site - 1 hour 15 minutes - when 30 minutes would have sufficed. Dinner at Faro tavern was nice, but again it left too little time to explore Panagia and Limenas. We arrived in Limenas at 1535hrs and were told departure was 1615hrs, which left 40 minutes. Sitting on a coach for two hours whilst going around picking up other people was not a good start. Going around on the trip it was disappointing to go past stopped cars at beauty spots taking photos while just drove past. When we booked we were told the final part was going to be scenery the likes of Jurassic Park which did not happen. We then travel on to Thassos where we were told we would transfer to another coach which take us straight to our Hotel so save us time. The reality was a 45min wa

Good tour of a beautiful island BUT coach was cramped and uncomfortable, too many stops. Places visited were overcrowded and nothing exceptional. Restaurant for lunch stop was in a fabulous location but food was mediocre - certainly not “best on the island” as sold to us!

It needs to be made clear that return times to coach need to be adhered to - we waited 2x10 minutes, 27 minutes and 20 minutes for errant guests to return after the designated time. The guide was becoming distraught. They should be left behind to make own way home. Spoiled the trip for everyone else.

Completely mis-sold this by our rep - we were told it included beach stops throughout the day - we are currently on this and have stopped at Aliki - by the time we’d been round the ruins there was no time to spend on the beach with our children. Extremely disappointed and are considering getting a taxi back to our hotel as the children are bored already. We have also booked a mountain tour for tomorrow and our rep said we could cancel the day before - we’re now being told we can’t!

We did not arrive to the capital until after 3pm it was the time when list things were closed including the amphitheatre which we wanted to see and was one reason why we booked the trip, very disappointing. Not enough time at each location, too much time in the coach. Our tickets were not checked on coach entry, the beaches were lovely but only got to spend under 30 minutes there so couldn't enjoy a swim and dry off before getting back on the coach. The rep was not in tui colours so hard to spot in the crowds if you didn't keep up and she brought her granddaughter with her as it was school holidays. The rep also left the coach before all holiday makers had returned back to their hotels.

They had trouble closing the door on the mini bus, the aircon was very weak, the microphone the guide used was not working properly so most of the information was lost. We were also looking forward to the amphitheatre in Thassos but by the time you arrive it is closed! Also we should have been told there is no view of it once the gates are closed. On the plus side the food at the lunch stop was very good. The TUI reps should be more aware of the reality of the trip.

The rep was absolutely fantastic full of knowledge, but also funny Loved the jokes! The trip itself was very scenic and pleasurable.

From Golden beech I recommend public 8am bus to Thassos town to see the many sites. Ditto Panagia. Logistically this tour dont cut it. 75 minutes or more from 8am pickup of collecting folk from round the island before you start. This was compounded by overly long wait in full sun for taxis that arrived 15 min late. Monastry was too crowded. I have been on much better trips

It was good to get an idea of the geography of the island. There was no check in when we boarded the coach and this became a problem when we had to stop and let a couple off the coach when they realised it was the wrong one. The guide was obviously very knowledgeable about the island and the places we visited but there was too much talking on the coach, without breaks inbetween. It was also very difficult to hear what she was saying, both on and off the coach. We were left to our own devises.

The tour was very successful and enjoyable. The guide, Mariana, was superb and gave us a wonderful insight to the places we visited. I think the tour was well designed and took us to some beautiful and engaging places. Thassos is too good to just visit the hotel and the beach. The island deserves the time and expense of this tour.

The tour is excellent. The downside for us was the driver of the coach. There was a blind passenger and he refused to open the front doors of the coach which she found easier to climb rather than the steep side door. The reason was "to keep the air con" going. However he opened the front door for the guide. Double standards and no consideration.

Unfortunate start to the trip as the coach missed us on pick up so we missed the monastery visit, the part we were most interested in. A taxi was arranged to catch up with the tour at the next place of interest. Can’t fault TUI comms once they were aware of the problem

The Monastery was lovely and well worth a visit. I think a little more time in Panagia would have been nice. As we were already located in Limenas, the tour stop here was pointless as we're in the town anyway. Obviously it was worth it for the people staying at Golden beach and Scala Potamia to spend some time in the capital of the island. Personally I felt the tour was cut short for us.

Nice trip overall, some aspects of the trip better than others, more time in Thassos town would have been nice, to see some of the historical sights rather than shopping time. The guide was knowledgeable but didn't always hang around for everyone to disembark the coach at stops, left a few of wondering where we were supposed to go.
